The recovery of the manufacturer partition must stay exactly as it was when the computer is started for the first time.

Your problem when you use a backup utility.

Utility backup will never use space on the C drive and always look for space on the NEXT available drive or partition. In your case, the next available drive has been the recovery partition.

You should NEVER go back to a partition on the primary boot drive. This player is working harder than any other part of your computer, and the chances of failure are higher as a result.

Get an external hard drive if you want to save anything and make sure that the device is disconnected when not not necessary...

What to do about the recovery partition...

According to what backup utility you used, go to the D drive and delete all backup files that have been made here.

Windows backup uses the BKF file extension, so you will remove all files with the extension BKF.

  • HP PavilionTouchsmart 11 Noteb: storage capacity of recovery disk is almost full

My question is: how to make more Revovery disk space?  It is almost full. Drive C is very well...

I have a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 Notebook PC

    Thank you

    Hello:

It is normal that the partition recovery disk is almost full, and you should never store other files on it.

The partion made just large enough to hold recovery files.

If you have stored files on the recovery partition, I recommend that move you elsewhere.

  • Flashback Recovery Area use almost 100% - what happens then?

    Hello

I'm fairly new to Oracle flashback. I have a database that is almost 100 percent use of the flashback box. So far, I've just increased the size to delay the inevitable. I also went and pruned archivelogs (using OS commands) of fra, but this does not seem to have any effect. I wanted to know is, what will happen if I let him get to 100%. Will be the database constantly works or it files he hasn't needed to prune and free space on its own?

Thanks for any idea that you can provide.

How do you remove the archivelogs, by orders of removal level o/s as rm etc? If so, that used lowering the usability of the FRA since his unaware that files are deleted. FRA is managed via RMAN as RMAN, first, run all

    overlap archivelog all

This will mark the archivelogs deleted as expired and then remove them by order of operating systems

    Delete expired

To make usability FRA in a limit, try to change the lower more retention and periodically run the command.

    obsolete report

This signals files that are marked obsolete by the retention policy and you want to delete. And read,

I read that someone had this problem but it uninstall him their printer?   I use the HP Deskjet 3052 a. It would do me no harm? It is a wireframe / wireless.  I don't see how it would have something to do with the recovery disk.

    Hi again CurryK15,

    Thanks for the quick response!

It is normal that the recovery Partition to use a considerable amount of space. Over time, your system will be periodically save your system information in case a system recovery becomes necessary.

While I do not recommend it, you can delete the recovery Partition by following this resource on the removal of the HP recovery Partition. This resource is geared toward the withdrawal of this drive on laptop computers, but the same principles apply to your office.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

The ONLY way to return to its original state of the recovery partition is to do a full erase of the hard drive and reconfiguration of the PC itself Žtat factory use HP Recovery Media - and, as said, that will delete EVERYTHING on the drive!

If you have backups of the image, as you requested, then you really don't need to partition and can safely remove to reclaim that space.

If Windows won't let you delete this partition, then try using this: Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition free

    Good luck

Is this a computer supplied by the manufacturer with Windows
    pre-installed?

If so, D: is probably a recovery disk partition. This is where
to allow you to reinstall Windows if it is necessary. It comes
full (or almost full) and you should be sure never to write anything
for her, or remove what either of him.

  • HP model S3780a D disk is almost full. What should I do?

HP Pavilion Slimline model s3780 Desk Top.  D drive is almost full (original Image) what should I do when it is full? I've upgraded Windows Vista to Windows 7, but outside this no changes have been made.

The recovery partition by default only has a limited amount of free space and has no bad effect on the machine. Things to watch... Make sure that you're not save or save files there. Turn off the system for this partition restore if it is enabled. Made ' computer' icon right-click Choose "Properties". In the window that opens the eyes on the left side for 'System Protection' to open and check.

Hi Taylorlaura, if you can use your Mac then move your own files of data on another drive, until you do about 50 GB of space.

OS x: what is 'other' space about this Mac? -Apple Support

Then download and run Omni DiskSweeper. It can show you the exact size and location of all your files. It will be the inventory of your disc from files that occupy more space. It can also give you a fairer read disk space than the Finder or storage tab of the about this Mac. If you want you can even delete files from OmniDisk Sweeper. But beware, some items may be important for your system.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  • Equium A200 - 15l - hard drive almost full Vista, what now?

On my hard drive of laptop theres 2.
    C; Vista and E; Data.
My Vista drive is almost full so what do I do now?
I thought that once the Vista was full disk of data take longer, but no.

    Advice please.

    Hello.

    You can do this:

    1. disk cleanup
2 turn off the system restore
    3. create a new hard driver small, extracted from your data disc, for swap space. Leave the C drive for the new driver swap space. If you have 2 GB of memory, you can find, it is useful to create a hard drive to third with 4 GB of swap space, or windows will use the drive space it.
4 format your hard drive and perform a new installation. You don't like it I guess :)

    Good luck.

  • I have Windows Vista - I'm a msge saying that the recovery disc (D) is almost full. How can I transer to OS (C) Disk that has plenty of room to the left?

I have Windows Vista.  I'm a msge saying that the recovery disc (D) is almost full.

How can I transfer to OS (C) Disk that has plenty of room?    Thank you.

    Hello

I'm sorry, but you cannot move the D: Partition recovery or its contents; It will not work if you do.

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. If you want to reinstall Windows from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    See you soon.
