HP PAvillion M7U61EA #ABH: HDMI port no longer works

For the last few days I used the HDMI port to stream video and audio to two different TVs LG and Samsung monitor without problems. Directly into TVs or with an AV processor and even if sound was not always easy, I could run BB iPlayer and Netflixs without any problem.

Then, from today I don't get the laptop to 'see' the fact that I inserted the HDMI in the laptop. Tried several cables and confirmed that the HDMI inputs on all these devices was still working.

This did some research on the site of HP, Windows site, but couldn't find a solution. What to do next?

revised and updated

Given that you upgraded to Windows 10

You may have accepted a Windows 10 update the graphics driver, who stopped the discreet graphics card to function properly. Never install the Intel graphics driver separately on a switchable graphics capable laptop computer. Only the NVIDIA graphics driver HP sofpaq will allow him to work as expected. It's a proprietary driver that is not included in the driver store of the operating system and is not on Microsoft's servers.

The best solution to solve this problem would be to use the system restore window to restore the operating system to the State prior to the change was made. You lose no and restore photos, or other personal data using the system. It is completely reversible.

  • Ethernet port no longer works

    Hello

I have an iMac (21.5 inch, mid 2011) running OSX 10.11.3 and today my ethernet port no longer works.

    Things I've tried:

    • Put the cable on another computer. The cable works fine.
    • Several reboots of the imac.
    • Go to safemode (SHIFT key at startup), still does not see the ethernet port.
    • Past to recovery (command + R to start) mode, the ethernet port is functioning normally. (Now I'm confused)

Thus, it works in recovery, but not in normal mode or safe mode.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Original title: HDMI port stopped working after the update.

This morning my laptop did an automatic restart to install updates and now my hdmi port does not work. I tried to restore the system to a previous point, but that has not helped. I have a HP Pavilion dv6.

I worked with a team of online crash analysis and they had update me of the BIOS. That fixed the problem and the HDMI port is now working again. For those of you who have the same problem, go to http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48953.exe .

Is there a driver for the HDMI for the Satellite R830 port?
It is no longer connects to a TV.

I tried different TV but still nothing.
Also there is no HDMI in under the control panel Device Manager, should there be?

Thank you very much for any help or advice.

    Hello
I put t know what Windows system that you use on this laptop, but the driver HDMI isn't available from the HDMI port driver is part of the system and should be recognized automatically.

Capacity Audio HDMI you need to install the right audio driver and should allow this in Control Panel-> sound-> playback device

HDMI (digital out) would be not listed there, right click and choose:
Show devices disabled, view hidden devices.

Usually the HDMI connection isn t very delicate. Everything should run automatically.
Connect both devices with a HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV, then the computer.
Now, use the exit function FN (key) video combination in order to get to the video (HDMI).

Note: the correct HDMI channel must be selected on your TV

  • HDMI connection no longer works on Studio 15 laptop computer

I have a portable Studio 15, which is only 6 months old and I regularly used the HDMI output to connect directly to my Sony Bravia TV to watch the BBC iPlayer, etc..  It worked perfectly well until Thursday when I plugged the HDMI cable and the laptop was not thankful it being attached another screen.  Normally, what happens is that once the cable is connected the laptop automatically detects the TV and switches on the TV as my main screen and my laptop as the secondary display screen.  If I close the lid of the laptop the TV remains as main display.

Thursday, but nothing.  I have reset the TV to factory settings, I also checked the cable and it worked very well and so was the TV when I plugged in my Blu Ray player.  I'm afraid that the HDMI port on the laptop can be fried, but I wanted to check other options before calling Dell.  Unfortunately, I don't have access to another screen/TV with HDMI, so I am not able to check if the HDMI Jack on the laptop is dead.  There has been no updates installed on the laptop just before this problem and as far as I can say that nothing had changed between my Wednesday night disconnect and try to reconnect the cable on Thursday night.  I even tried FN + F8 nothing consider the laptop is not recognizing the fact that TV is not recognized as a screen is not recognized in the first place.

As I mentioned above, the laptop is old with only 6 months: -.

I upgraded my windows to 8.1 - 64 bit and after that I found my HDMI port and Bluetooth does not work, since this page, I have Download Intel high definition (HD) Graphics Driver that complete the installation with an error that says:

    ---------------------------
This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

also, I downloaded Qualcomm-Atheros Bluetooth 4.0 + HS Driver for Microsoft Windows, but nothing happened, however, I'm prety sure that my bluetooth product is the Intel® PROSet/Wireless software for Bluetooth® technology (it was the previous windows driver) that I downloaded from this link, and it didn't work.

I'd appreciate if someone helps me.

    Procuct model: pavilion dv6-6c55se

Maybe your model didn't need driver wireless button.

The dv6-7000 models require this driver running W8/8.1.

Most of the older models do not use it, but I didn't know where the break was.

I just guess that maybe that was the problem.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

I have rarely, if ever use bluetooth, so I have zero skills of troubleshooting for bluetooth.

  • USB ports no longer works after L7680 OfficeJet Pro printer installed...

I am running Windows XP Pro SP3.  Before you load the printer all my ports worked (4 on the monitor, 2 on the front of the PC).  Once I'm installing all of them stop working.  The only option is to work with one on the front of the printer.   I am able to get my Western Digital HD to work on the USB port printer, but this one is fickle and only works sometimes (I have to restart to operate when it gives out).  I'm not able to use on the printer port USB flash drives. I f the usb port on the printer does not work, so I have no options.  I tried with a powered hub and it works at all.

I was chatting with representatives of HP without result. If a HUB on the printer does not work it is a useless tool for me.  I need one that has no readers, etc.  Is this a reason to return to the item under warranty?  Or y at - it a way to get this thing to work.

HP wants to tell me it's Dell.  Dell says it's HP.  I'm so confused and frustrated.

What I discovered, after about 3 years, the computers are generally obsolete.  My computer was 1.1 ports and the printer connection 2.0.  As see you all new USB components say they are 2.0, but can work with 1.1.  Long story short, after reading this somewhere, I decided that I had to upgrade my ports.  I went to Microcenter (they have an online store as well) and bought a USB 2.0 PCI Card for $11.00.  At opened her top and broke in the new port and everything works well again.  It may not be what you want to hear, but it was all I could do.  I was told all empty printer resources USB and this is why the upgrade was necessary.  Hope this makes some sense to you.

  • On Latitude E6250 HDMI port has never worked

    Hello,

I've got a Latitude E6520, and I haven't been able to use my HDMI port. Here's what I've tried:

    1. Pushing Fn+F8 or Windows key+P incessably to change displays and test all possible modes.2. Updated the Intel HD driver to the latest recommended version by Dell - that is 9.17.10.2867.3. Open display properties and click Detect and Identify. This creates a second display (aside from the embedded screen), showing as device "Display output device" (maybe not an accurate translation - my windows copy is in French). When clicking this, and then checking the creating display in the Intel HD panel, I realize this is Intel WiDi - not the intended HDMI port.

My HDMI cable is working; it has been tested successfully in other devices. My BIOS version is A13.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Juan

I got it. In case anyone has the same problem, I had to install the NVIDIA Control Panel since the support downloads for my Latitude E6250. I don't understand why I needed this, as my graphics chip is Intel HD 3000, and I do not know what NVIDIA has to do with it. But this solved my problem.

And Dell has to watch "community contributors" with unnecessary remarks on cables at low price or brand of monitor. They are less useless.
