On Latitude E6250 HDMI port has never worked

Hello,

I've got a Latitude E6520, and I haven't been able to use my HDMI port. Here's what I've tried:

1. Pushing Fn+F8 or Windows key+P incessably to change displays and test all possible modes.2. Updated the Intel HD driver to the latest recommended version by Dell - that is 9.17.10.2867.3. Open display properties and click Detect and Identify. This creates a second display (aside from the embedded screen), showing as device "Display output device" (maybe not an accurate translation - my windows copy is in French). When clicking this, and then checking the creating display in the Intel HD panel, I realize this is Intel WiDi - not the intended HDMI port.

My HDMI cable is working; it has been tested successfully in other devices. My BIOS version is A13.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Juan

I got it. In case anyone has the same problem, I had to install the NVIDIA Control Panel since the support downloads for my Latitude E6250. I don't understand why I needed this, as my graphics chip is Intel HD 3000, and I do not know what NVIDIA has to do with it. But this solved my problem.

And Dell has to watch "community contributors" with unnecessary remarks on cables at low price or brand of monitor. They are less useless.

    Hi Nedmundo,

I checked the information that you send via PM and you have the following LCD module:

    LCD - AUO M215HW03 V1

This does not indicate that it has a function touch that's why the touch screen has never worked. If you specifically ordered a model of touchscreen for your daughter, I recommend that you see the front desk to see if you have the correct unit (it should be here if your device is touch capable or not).

I installed windows 7 and webcam has never worked since. What is the solution for this problem?

    Hello

Since you upgraded to Windows 7 have you run Upgrade Advisor and verify with the
Compatibility Center (for the compatibility of the device)?

    Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor <-- please="" run="" this=""> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx

Also check the Compatibility Center (for the compatibility of the device)?

Check with the system and peripheral manufacturers for updated drivers and many have special

Machine to ask in their forums (if any) for known problems and solutions and support.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver of the camera and other partners
the camera software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

If there are no Windows 7 drivers:

Logon as ADMINISTRATOR for all of them.

You can try Compatibility Mode but this rarely works on the device drivers.

Right click on the driver executable (.exe) file - select Compatibility Mode

In the drop-down menu choose XP or Vista and Service Pack (if it is the version

Click OK, and then let the race to see if it will install.

  • HP PAvillion M7U61EA #ABH: HDMI port no longer works

For the last few days I used the HDMI port to stream video and audio to two different TVs LG and Samsung monitor without problems. Directly into TVs or with an AV processor and even if sound was not always easy, I could run BB iPlayer and Netflixs without any problem.

Then, from today I don't get the laptop to 'see' the fact that I inserted the HDMI in the laptop. Tried several cables and confirmed that the HDMI inputs on all these devices was still working.

This did some research on the site of HP, Windows site, but couldn't find a solution. What to do next?

    revised and updated

Given that you upgraded to Windows 10

You may have accepted a Windows 10 update the graphics driver, who stopped the discreet graphics card to function properly. Never install the Intel graphics driver separately on a switchable graphics capable laptop computer. Only the NVIDIA graphics driver HP sofpaq will allow him to work as expected. It's a proprietary driver that is not included in the driver store of the operating system and is not on Microsoft's servers.

The best solution to solve this problem would be to use the system restore window to restore the operating system to the State prior to the change was made. You lose no and restore photos, or other personal data using the system. It is completely reversible.

  • REGZA WL66: HDMI input has stopped working

    Hello

the HDMI to my Regza WL abruptly arrested two weeks after having worked well for several years of work. Previously, the different types of devices have been recognized without any problem: DVD player, receiver, laptop, Media Player. Now, no device is recognized at all, the screen remains blue.

The cable is not the problem. I tried with different cables and also tested the cable with the other monitors; they are ok.

Is it possible to fix this?

(The SCART and component input still works - but is not HDMI).

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I have a Mac Mini and I use usually 2 screens Dell. Everything worked fine until a couple of days, now the screen plugged into the HDMI port is no longer recognized. Then, connect a monitor to the HDMI port and see if the screen works when booting with the down Option. You should see drives bootable on the screen. This does not imply the OSX so if it works not that indicates a hardware problem

    Hello

I upgraded my windows to 8.1 - 64 bit and after that I found my HDMI port and Bluetooth does not work, since this page, I have Download Intel high definition (HD) Graphics Driver that complete the installation with an error that says:

    ---------------------------
This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

    ---------------------------
also, I downloaded Qualcomm-Atheros Bluetooth 4.0 + HS Driver for Microsoft Windows, but nothing happened, however, I'm prety sure that my bluetooth product is the Intel® PROSet/Wireless software for Bluetooth® technology (it was the previous windows driver) that I downloaded from this link, and it didn't work.

I'd appreciate if someone helps me.

    Procuct model: pavilion dv6-6c55se

Maybe your model didn't need driver wireless button.

The dv6-7000 models require this driver running W8/8.1.

Most of the older models do not use it, but I didn't know where the break was.

I just guess that maybe that was the problem.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

I have rarely, if ever use bluetooth, so I have zero skills of troubleshooting for bluetooth.

Also there is no HDMI in under the control panel Device Manager, should there be?

Thank you very much for any help or advice.

    Hello
I put t know what Windows system that you use on this laptop, but the driver HDMI isn't available from the HDMI port driver is part of the system and should be recognized automatically.

Capacity Audio HDMI you need to install the right audio driver and should allow this in Control Panel-> sound-> playback device

HDMI (digital out) would be not listed there, right click and choose:
Show devices disabled, view hidden devices.

Usually the HDMI connection isn t very delicate. Everything should run automatically.
Connect both devices with a HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV, then the computer.
Now, use the exit function FN (key) video combination in order to get to the video (HDMI).

Note: the correct HDMI channel must be selected on your TV
