HP Pavillion PC AIO 23: hard drive

I have a PC HP Pavilion AIO 23, and I need to replace the HD, preferably with a similar one.  Is someone can you please advise me what is the model number for this HD, or brand name, size and other details that I should look out for.  Thank you.

Hello

According to available stocks, HP may use different brand to build machines so very difficult to tell who is who.

(a) If you can still access your computer, Device Manager will tell you all.

(b) If you are unable to access your computer, you can come out and watch. You will need to come out anyway.

Kind regards.

My laptop HP Pavilion 7 g series has been repaired with the new motherboard, card graphics and hard drive, but when I got back, it came with a clean windows 7 Home Edition premium installed, no updates no software, nada nothing, I was able to gently straighten the back update tool, but no HP software cannot be found I don't have a recovery disk because it was lost with the old hard drive.

Is anyway to recover part of the HP software that came with the computer? right now I can't even check to update drivers but I managed to create a new recovery partion in my new hard drive with a download of HP.

  • HP pavillion m7557c race ex hard drive problem

recently crashed (sonething in the windows configuration) do the restore to factory records but drive hard only display 16 GB and it has a 300 GB inside assistance greatly apprreciated!

If you download and make a GParted live disk and boot from it, you can delete both partitions and engage in change. Once you have made and created a single FAT32 partition, you can use the recovery discs to return your PC to its delivered State. You should have sufficient ability to use it. It was delivered in one day with a small hard drive.

This is the reason why I proposed to install a larger hard drive.

I had a similar problem with my dc7800 CMT.

I bought a WD Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III hard drive.  I managed to install the operating system, but when I want to start or restart the PC, most of the time (95%), I got the boot drive not found error.

I assumed the reader was bad, so I RMA. by it, and the spare drive did the same thing.

I have a HP 8200 CMT of Elite, which came with a Seagate 1 TB SATA III hard drive.

I understand that you can not restore your PC by using the restore disks.

It seems that you did not follow the process of creating media recovery or data backup process.

If you are unable to restore the image by using the discs.

Please use this link to find out how to create a recovery media: http://hp.care/2byIEKi

However, you can contact HP and get a set of system recovery disks.

  • Pavillion zd7000 hard drive

I did a digital recording on my zd7000 and it has a 80 GB HDD at 5400 RPM.  I'm looking for options to upgrade the hard disk at 7200 at least but I understand that these are disks IDE / ATA.  If a couple of questions...

    1. Can I buy just a stop disk 7200 RPM of the platter, then plug it in?
    2. If I can't upgrade the internal hard drive can I use an external drive fireware at 7200 rpm or 10,000.  This would effectively increase the transfer rate?
    3. I didn't think of other options?

    Thanks in advance...

Thank you very much for your answer.  You hit the questions on and yes I have considered upgrading the laptop, widely enough.  If I there are some very specific things, I need and the price is more in the range of $1,000-$ 1,500.  The other 'hidden' question is that if I upgrade, I'd probably architecture 64-bit and that would cause a domino effect in the upgrade of some hardware, software and drivers...

The Pavillion zd7000, not to mention that some of its shortcomings has been a phenomenal laptop.  What keeps me with him is a dual proc to 2.66 Mhz, many laptops are at the same level, although I know that all increases in bus, memory and hard drive are starting to push me towards an upgrade.  The only issues I had were the video card (which was replaced by HP) and the amount of heat that this puppy goes out...  So if I can squeeze another year out of it for another $100, I'd be happy...

Thanks again for your information, it was very helpful!

  • Don't drive HP Pavillion G6 2210SA RED hard failure no bootable image message

    Hello

I'm sure that the hard drive has failed. I tried reset hard with and without mains. I left the power on and after a while, I get a message saying that the selected boot image is not authenticated. I went into the BIOS, but there is no Diagnostics tool to test the hard drive.

I'm happy to have another hard drive (if you can confirm that this is the question), but how to install Windows 8 once I have reinstall the hard drive? I can't even find my phone on the support forum and even fewer know about recovering from a hard drive failure.

Can someone help please? Thank you.

Very good idea. I'll post on some forums and see if anyone can help. Do I need to know my serial number of Windows 8 to make it work?

No, the product number is encoded in the BIOS so you only have the recovery disks.

  • How can I erase the drive hard so that I can sell my HP Pavillion/Windows XP/3 GB ram/512 MB hard drive?

I need help wiping my hard drive, so I can sell my computer

    Hello

You can use the process below to completely erase your hard drive, but you must have your game that recovery disks to reinstall the operating system if you want to sell it with XP installed.

Download and install Killdisk on the link below - (this application will write zeros to the entire disk).

    http://software.lsoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe of

Download and install ImgBurn on the link below.

    http://download.CNET.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-10847481.html

Access the application of disc kill you have installed in all programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators, then the BACK Bootable CD Creator that will burn the ISO on a blank CD bootable.

During the following process do not worry about all warnings as your recovery DVDs will reformat the HARD drive.

Insert this CD into yout laptop. Close Notepad, and then start again to boot from the CD of Killdisk and follow the instructions on the screen to kill disk.

A brief description of the process here is Killdisk.

Use it to wipe the entire hard drive, Select (80 h) and press f10 (you will also need to type a confirmation and press enter) - ( This will make sure to include all of the partitions , and then start the process - this may take a few hours!).

When the process is complete, remove the CD of Killdisk, insert your first HP recovery disc and restart the computer to start the installation.

Product ID of my laptop is XD575EA #ABZ.

    What it means?

    Thank you

    Hello

Error code 24 characters for the failure of disk Self Test (DST) short would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This corresponds also to the inability to load the OS.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.
