HP PC HDMI-> Sony Bravia HDMI = no display! Help, please!

Hello

I'm usually well informed about the connections for digital devices, but I'm completely baffled by this situation and would REALLY appreciate your response as soon as possible, thanks in advance!

Problems - the following statement of what I've done:

I bought HDMI - HDMI Cable to connect my model of PC HP A6355 Phenom 9500 Quad Core (which have a HDMI port) for Sony Bravia LCD HDTV (which of course also have Port HDMI!)

I turned off TV and PC, then connect the HDMI cable to the two end to each device

Turn on the PC and the TV

I checked every singal channel AV and PC on TV - no connection regonised

I checked my display settings and set it to lower the resolution and trying to replicate the monitor (still doesn't)

Have no FN key on my keyboard

I took off the cable from the PC and connect it to my HP laptop and it worked perfectly fine! (this is the part where it puzzle me most!) one thing I notice is when I connect the cable from the laptop on tv - display automatically to survey and ready for me set the appropriate resolution setting - he didn't do it on my desktop PC...

Why?

My HP PC is 32 bit operating system

NIVIDA GeForce 8500 GT

I also checked Device Manager to see if my HDMI port works on my PC, but there is no option to select HDMI (unless they have another name for it IE bus usb etc?)

Help, please! Thanks again

Hey there,

I just want to say that I have now solved the problem...

Apparently my Nivida GeForce driver is not updated, make sure that you update your regularly and you will have no problem!...

A smile and a big smile on my face seeing now works!...

Thank you even if no one answers, it seems content to my brain so that it works properly!

Thanks again

    Hello

The help format was changed starting with Windows Vista.

To display older help files, you need to install the update for help.

    Go to the next article.

I can't open the help that was created in Windows Help format (WinHlp32.exe):

Now I get the signal not supported, I have even with the double posting, but works with extended display. I'd love to get it for display on the tv only or duplicate. I use my cell phone as a media device and tv as a monitor.

  • [SOLVED] Is it possible to look at pictures 3D (JPS or FTU) on a Sony Bravia TV Android?

    As the title says.

I have several jps and drag files DFO taken with different smartphones equipped with 3D camera, stored in a USB key. None of these files are even recognized by my TV (folder appears as empty).

In contrast, 3D (SBS .mp4 format) videos, I've shot with the same set of smartphones without any kind of problems and in 3D.

Then... thumbdrive is it possible to display photos stored 3D (mpo format or jps) in a USB port on my Sony Bravia TV Android?

It is worth noting that apps like MX Player Pro can also play videos in 3D in 3D, so an Android app can send the stereo signal to the control panel. Then... there at - it an Android app that can do the trick?

Now, in order to view the pictures in 3D, I need to plug my smartphones to the HDMI input, but because the signal is upscaled 800 x 480, the quality that results is very low.

PS: If there is no way to make the TV read JP and DFO, there Blu - Ray drives that can read jps or FTU from a USB?

(answer my own question since she will probably never get answered, but the solution requires a conversion and kludgy).

How to convert mass of 3D photos and view them with your Bravia 3D glasses:

Step 1 (conversion of the photo in jpg format):

If your 3D photo is FTU: open the StereoPhoto Maker windows desktop app, go to file-> open a stereo Image, then click on the file-> save stereo Image. Save it as "JPEG file", make sure that "Always save SBS format" is selected and that the quality is set to 99 (the most high, since this picture will go through another conversion). Or you can use the conversion application multi feature even the to do in the batch.

If your 3D photo is jps: just rename photo.jps in photo.jpg but here's a much smarter way to do it in bulk: create a folder on C: no spaces inside (say "3Dphotos"). Then open the cmd (find it in the start menu) type cd C:\3Dphotos and then type rename *.jps *.jpg

You should now have a JPG file which has both left and right-by-side eye

    Step 2 (resizing):

You need in bulk - resize pictures 1920 x 1080 (each eye will be 'stretched' vertically). Go to bulkresizephotos dot com choose the jpg photos of step 1 (20-30 pictures at the same time preference) then click on 'Exact size' then click on 'Pro', then 'no. Padding. Make sure 'Format of Image' is JPEG (you can experiment with other formats, but it works), and the quality is set to one between 95-99. Then click Start resizing.

You just convert your photos to the half-SBS Full HD format, in bulk. Save pictures to a USB key.

Please note that you must select 1920 x 1080 as your size, even if your photos are not widescreen.

    Step 3 (visualization):

Now, all you have to do is view photos on your Bravia. You can use any joint Bluray player/Media player / whatever to view the photos. As long as it is connected via HDMI. Then, press the 'Action' Menu-> 3D-> 3D display and select side. Boom! 3D pictures!

If your Bravia is an Android TV, it is also possible to download Kodi and view pictures from there. But, the Action Menu doesn't have a "3D" option not in mode 'HDMI', then you will need to download app 'SideView of video and TV' Sony and push the button of the remote 3D.

  • Screen turns off during a video session on Sony Bravia TV.

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium machine. It has Intel DG45ID motherboard with integrated graphics and sound. In use network interface card is Asus PCE - N15-wireless. As a monitor for this system, I use Sony Bravia TV. Its normal resolution is 1920 x 1080. TV is connected with HDMI cable, sound comes from separate computer speakers. This installation of Windows is more than a year now and until very recently it has worked flawlessly. However the screen started having weird outages. System works normally for a while and then all of a sudden comes totally black screen for a second, and after that this system works well again. It seems that this is not a major problem, but in any case, it's annoying to have a black screen during a video session.

    I tried following:
I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player. It did not help.
I have updated the drivers for graphics cards. It did not help.
    Original title: blinking display

I uninstalled my previous antivirus software and replaced it with Microsoft Security Essentials. It did not help

I do not know what causes this behavior, but I have the feeling that there might be software that is changing display resolution to something that TV does not support.

    Issues related to the:
    Is my correct diagnosis?
What is the software that is the cause?
    How it can be fixed?
If you know the solution to this answer please problem. Thanks in advance.

So, I unplugged the power cable and all other cables and open the folder. Everything seemed to be in good condition. However, it is computer shelf with micro ATX form and therefore, there is not too much space in the case. HDD and DVD drive are in separate removable metal frame and SATA cables are a little tight. Also drives hard cable has been connected motherboards SATA1 connector, and the DVD player was connected to the SATA0 connector. And end drives seemed to be a little loose. I happened to have a spare cable SATA and cable change new hard drives. I also changed the ends of motherboard, hard drive on connector 0 and DVD 1-connector. Then put evrything together and started the machine. First visited the BIOS configuration settings and reset the defaults. And now, the computer works well again! I don't know what really made the tour. Disks hard SATA-cable was perhaps wrong.

Thank you for your consideration. Good bye. Pekka.

  • Hello I have a Sony Bravia KDL - S2XBR9 55 "TV. The Sony entertainment network is available on this?

Hello I have a Sony Bravia KDL - S2XBR9 55 "TV. Is available on this model Telivision Sony entertainment network. Appears as an update the firware, or it would be possible to push, already a lot of available Internet content?

    Hi Toyster,

Unfortunately, the XBR9 doesn't have the Sony entertainment network. SEN content is available on 2010 units and more. Sony SMPN100, SMPN200, NSZGT1 and NSZGS7 will have the content of SEN. You can connect these devices to the XBR9 TV with HDMI and you will be able to access the content of SEN.

I want to connect my laptop to my tv (Sony Bravia, mod KDF - 50E3000), so that I can read documents of text on the screen or play games on the tv from my laptop.  I bought a HDMI VGA cable and hung the two units through this means of communication.  I also used an "S-vidéo" cable and got a few lines and movement, but no readable signal.  The TV's user manual says to change my signal video output on the laptop, but I can't find where to do.  Can you help me to get this accomplished?

  • IP address of the Sony Bravia TV in collective housing is 1 stop from that used by the router.

Address IP of the Sony Bravia TV in collective housing is 1 stop from that used by the router and McAfee network card. TV connects to the router but it says server is not available and cannot access media files. I removed the TV from the group home and now cannot get back at all, even if the NIC McAfee says it's there.  How can I return it to the correct IP address? Either by the way TV works well with my laptop and the IP it is in agreement with the router.

    Thanks for the reply,

The Fixit on this link is out of date. However, I did find and try the collective dwelling and routines network Fix - it without success. I used both WIn 7 trouble shooters and they find nothing wrong.

None of the suggested steps seemed to apply. All necessary services are running.
The workaround is to connect my laptop to the HDMI on your TV and the lap top gives access to the video files on my HD desktop... not always satisfactory if the files are fragmenting as its loses sync.

I need a way to get the desk top to see the correct IP address for television.
  • Model of Sony BRAVIA KDL 42W700B cannot view photos and videos of the external USB hard drive!

    Hey Sony,

I recently bought the SONY BRAVIA KDL-42W700B model (http://www.sony.co.in/product/kdl-42w700b).

The TV is recently launched by Sony, which made me buy this model.

But the first day itself, I came across a problem with this model. I wanted to see some of my photos and videos, so I plugged my external USB drive (320 GB). I discovered this, he can not display my photos and videos in the directory view. He picked up any random photo/video to display from the hard drive.  In the thumbnail view, I could see of 27 items which were taken at random on the hard drive, and every time I connect it to the TV, I see some photos/videos at random that did not exist on the hard drive.

Among the Options, button, tried to switch to view folders, but it also did not help. Only a few cases were projected, and that too not in any order, a few files randomly were chosen who have entered.

Contacted the people at the showroom where I bought this TV and discovered that the problem was with this model ONLY. This model was taking too long (waiting at least a half hour load the photos and still did not get the pictures/videos in a correct view). They tested on various models (KDL-32W700B, KLV-40R452A, KDL-50W800B) and all these models supported the correct view and order, and he was also able to load the external hard drive fast enough.

Apart from this, the bluetooth pairing happens not on this model. It seems that there is a serious problem with this model.

In addition, contacted the people from sony who came to the demonstration and installation of the TV. Giving random answers to format the hard drive!

Could you please help me on this? It seems that this model of Sony is defective.

    Hi arjun1610!
