  Hi, I installed Windows Essential 2012 on my gateway (running Windows7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit).  I want to run Family Safety, which currently runs on my two laptops (running Windows 8.1 and Windows7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit).  After you have installed Windows Essentials, when I try to open the parental controls on a standard user account, it will not open a browser window to the parental Windows web page (have IE installed 11).  The program does nothing, even if it shows the Windows parental control as the program of choice.   I tried the following:

  -Repair Windows Essentials 2012 - does not solve the problem

  -Uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Essentials 2012 - does not solve the problem

  -Tried to create a new standard user account - does not allow me to install parental controls with Windows parental control

  -J' I also have to make sure that Windows is up to date, confirmed with Windows Update and all available patches/updates are installed

  I have uninstalled Windows Essentials again and am currently using the basic parental control Windows7, but really want to use the Windows parental control program.  Do you have any suggestions?

  I scanned the internet, Microsoft KBs, and many of the forums and the SIGs. Nothing worked from suggestions made by MSFT people.

  My problem is this: I have a MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 that I was not able to match, much less to do with my laptop. Even for a PDA to BT, BT cell and another mouse MS BT.

  The laptop is dual-boot with XP Pro SP3 and Win7 32-bit Enterprise.
  The mouse is seen and usable under the XP boot. Three other BT devices work well with XP on this laptop. When you try to add the device in Win7, I get nothing. The dialoge Watch window it is looking, but no device appears. I checked that the devices are configured to be open and ready for pairing on the mouse and other devices that I run on XP.

  I tried the things:

  * EDIT * after scouring the site, I found a suggestion to run the tool via the command prompt System File Checker (see thread here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/no-internet-connection-on-this-computer-after/83fb22c9-712e-467d-9a68-f8d52dde9bcb), which I did and found some corrupted files. The following response appears: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and repaired successfully details can be found in the CBS.log newspaper... File system changes will take effect after the next reboot. "After restarting, the internet connection problem seems to have been resolved. Service work. and Windows Help and Support also works!   Thanks for sharing of the resolution. Your efforts and patience are highly appreciated.

  In addition to the emission of heat:

  Two things inside the laptop generate heat - power (in the place where the power cord plugged in) and the processor.  The CPU has a heater and a fan to help disperse the heat and keep the CPU at a reasonable temperature.  Hot air is sent on the vents, and air at room temperature between in other events.
  What happens generally is dust forms near the vents, near the Airways within the laptop computer which lead to the mouths and on the CPU fan itself.  All these sources of dust cause airflow slow down, so that the hot air lingers and gets even hotter.  To resolve this problem, you will need to take the laptop apart and 'very good' to clean the dust and the CPU fan.

  Another potential source of heat which would be composed of dust problem might be software related.  More 'work' the CPU must do the most energy is needed and therefore more heat is released.
