  Please provide the full error message.  Also, make sure that you typed correctly - are you sure that the CLSID does not stop with "46" rather than simply "6"?

  You can also follow the steps in the following article to clean things up and try again: One Article

  • Make sure that you install the printer by using a user account with "computer administrator" privileges (if you are not sure, click Start > Control Panel > accounts of users, under the name of each account will be "Computer administrator" or "Limited account").

  Unfortunately, there is not a firmware update to enable your printer for AirPrint. You could try the HP ePrint App for the iPad/iPhone.

  To add to what sabertooth04 said, here a link to a document that deals with the applications of printing for your printer model. Click the menu drop down titled "Managing planned delivery Print Apps" and the option to cancel or remove an application will be available for you click on and examine measures to remove this application.   I have a HP photosmart 2610v printer all-in-one.  It is 5 years and more.  It worked fine no problems until yesterday that I went to change the color ink cartridge. I removed an empty, put in the new one (removal of all packaging), closed dorrs and said of the window "insert the left dropout color ink cartridge.  So I deleted several times re closed the door and he went on to say the same thing.  I got before bad cartridges so I returned it to the store and they have exchanged.   In general, I think after five years HP may terminate some older products to make room for new products. This does not mean that these older products are considered as obsolete. When a product reaches the mark of ten years from the date of introduction, that would be what they consider obsolete. This would mean that HP is unable to develop new drivers for the new technological advances.

  Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I see you want to know where to find the address for your printer Deskjet 2540 ePrint.

  The Deskjet 2540 printer does not support the HP ePrint feature so there's no email ePrint.  I've included the Specifications printer Deskjet 2540 for reference.

  However, you should be able to add the printer to the application on your phone as long as the phone is connected to the printer is connected to the same wireless network.   Once the phone is connected to the same wireless network, you should have no problem using the mobile app from HP ePrint to print.  I've included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document as additional reference.
