Hello
Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.
If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.
Kind regards

4525 proBook s: Hp ProBook 4525 s BIOS password recovery.
Hello. I had an opportunity and I'd love to be able to wipe the OS and reinstall, but the previous owner put a password on it.
UUID is [personal information deleted]
And the SN is [personal information deleted]
HP Probooks are Enterprise class laptops equipped with safety standards.
If the laptop does not give you with a system to screen lock code after you put in the incorrect passwords, you may need to have this resolved by HP or a BIOS company at your own expense.

HP ProBook 650: Remove BIOS password at startup after re-imaging ProBook
Hi all!
I've been looking around for a solution to this problem I saw but did not find a thread that relates to my specific situation, so help would be greatly appreciated.
I installed HP ProtectTools on a laptop and it set the BIOS to require a password before starting the system. I decided that I didn't want the installation and since it's a new image of windows, a new image would be a quicker and easier solution to this problem. However, the BIOS security features remain still and now all previous software it has been used for the configuration of the BIOS security is no longer on the laptop.
How can I go about removing this security feature now that I gave in the laptop image?
Thank you
power on password bios can be reset or overrided.
If you are currently invited for a power on password and you are not able to pass it, try entering random passwords until you get the msg disabled system followed a code, reply back and I will give you the code for override.
If you however want to reset it, you may need to open the case in order to reconnect the CMOS battery on the motherboard because it's the only other way to get rid of it and start again. -
Hello
Will have a menu of bios to access the problem. The laptop requires password administration. After entering the password three times, a dialog box appears "system disabled" [51021607]Hello

Hello
My computer need the bios pasword. But: entered 12345 work not this password. Please help me
Dear customer,
Welcome to the Support Forum HP and we are happy to help you.
This is to inform you with all professional like Probooks HP laptops or EliteBook stricter security that the consumer models infact they don't produce 'stop codes', the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a memory not volatile to remove the cell RTC resets not the password in this case.
Please take a look at this link for your reference:

Please Contact HP Business Notebook of support they should be able to send a SMC.bin custom file that you can use to reset the password at startup.

HP ProBook 6440 b: BIOS/CMOS admin password
Installing windows 7 Professional, I discovered that I couldn't get into the BIOS or because it was the password for protected configuration. I tried a number of things, including the installation of HP ProtectTools Security stuff and it seems that everything what has done is to create several connection passwords. I can now in the program installation, but as a user, but not as an administrator, and so I can not change password. There is also another screen that shows where I have to enter a password and I don't know if what is happening due to the HP protect tools that I installed and then removed, or something in the BIOS. I uninstalled HP protect tools and reinstall windows 7 and I see still two password screens. I tried to update the BIOS by using a file downloaded from the HP Web site, but can not because I do not know the admin for access to the BIOS password.
Contact HP and they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

ProBook 6540 b: ProBook 6540 b BIOS locked
I bought broke ProBook 6540 b for parts on eBay. Managed to fix the card mother, added a drive hard, but cannot open the BIOS to set the configuration.
What can I do to unlock it? There is a service of HP that does this?
I found a software on the Internet that does the job and costs about US $ 25, but since I have nothing to hide (for laptop is stolen not :-)) Ii hope there is the simpler and less expensive way to do it.)
