I have ACER / SPIRE 5749-6863 with footstool of CPU Intel Core i3-2330 WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL. Operating system can be upgraded to WINDOWS 10? IF the upgrade to speed or slow my pc will be runing.

An i3 class computer should be very able to run Windows 10 without any significant problems.

Reported on Acer community site that this model has been upgraded successfully, but it is not on the list of the devices supported Acer. This means only that Acer themselves have not tested, given the age to be provided.

Install a clean however known to give better results than an upgrade. If you have questions look to backup your data and completely wipe the system to reinstall Windows 10.

  • ProBook 4510 s: probook 4510 s windows upgrade

My mother has a ProBook 4510 s, which was bought right before Windows 7 came out (all about 2009, I think) so its mobile currently works on Windows XP (32-bit processor). She does not use the computer for much - mainly domestic use for Gmail, saving photos, printing, web browsing, etc - and hopes to upgrade Windows rather than buying a new computer. He arrived at the point where she cannot even download pictures on his iPhone to computer and iTunes can be loaded on computers Windows 7 or higher.

Because she has a ton of free space, and it seems that its operating system would allow an update to Windows 7, I want to know if it is better to just move him to 7 or upgrade to Windows 10.

Hoping someone can help me to determine if it's worth the trouble to do the complete upgrade of Windows 10 - his cell phone will be able to manage the upgrade - or to just upgrade to Windows 7, and see how that works before making the switch to Windows 10 eventually.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello:

Since there is no support W8.1, W8 and W10 driver for this model, I suggest you go on W7 and then try the W10, so that if W10 does not work, you can go back at least to W7, rather than to be up the Creek without a paddle if W10 does not work on the PC.

You should be able to use the W7 drivers for devices W10 not drivers for, but since I've not tested W10 on 4510 s, I can't tell you if it will work or not.

I tested it on the 6910p and the nc6400 and it works OK.  The only thing I didn't try was the fingerprint sensor (driver has been installed), and there is no driver for the infrared port, so I disabled the device in the BIOS, because I do not use that either.

  • HP Pavilion P6-2110: can I upgrade my CPU to a fourth generation of processor Intel?

I want to move to a processor Intel Core i7-4790, but the original documentation of this PC says that he accepts only to the top of the third generation. Would it not able to support up to fourth generation with the update of the BIOs in 2015? If it won't so I'll be fine with upgrading my current processor (Intel Core i5-2400 s) to a processor Intel Core i5-3450.

    @chaox1013, welcome to the forum.

Processors that are listed in the specs are those that have been fully tested to ensure that they will work without problem.  Does this mean that other processors don't work no - No!  However, this does not mean that you are yourself if you decide to try which is not on the list.  I've heard of cases where processors that were not on the list has worked, but there is certainly no guarantee.  The main thing you have to look at is the TDP.  It must match.

  • the upgrade/change the processor intel

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change the processor on an old hp laptop.

I have a hp pavilion dv 1680ca notebook pc. I want to change my processor intel centrino duo

a intel i3, i5 or i7 processor. And if I have to change the motherboard also. I would also like

to see if I can change my hard drive too or leave. It's a 100 GB SATA - 1.5 GB / ULTRA ATA - 5400 RPM.

And I want to change it to 750 GB-7200 tours/MIN/7500 TR / MIN. The laptop is 6 or more years. I upgraded the

memory from 512 MB to 2 GB. No problems. Or a 256 GB SSD will work?

    Hello:

You can't do the things that you asked your model laptop, except to intall a larger hard drive (maybe up to 250 GB).

No other motherboards will fit in the case. An i series processor does not work with your current motherboard.

Very doubtful an SSD will work in your model.

  • Pavilion g6-1262sa: HP Pavilion g6-1262sa - upgrade the processor (intel i3 - 2330 m-?)

Hi, as the topic I'm looking for information on upgrading my cpu of intel i3 - 2330 m to something more powerful which corresponds to my motherboard.

All my research is based on maintenance and maintenance of manual g6 far. http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02968997.PDF

I'd be happy if someone could answer some of my questions.

    1. do all processors listed on pages 23 and 24 are compatible with my motherboard (or bios)?

    2. If so - this means that location processor is compatible with the processor series mobile amd and intel? (sounds unlikely to me)

    3. what cpu would generally fit better lightweight casual games? I'm thinking the i7 - 2620M (or one of the albums i5s) or if the answer to question 2 is "Yes" - worst sage cpu but graphics wise better AMD A6 - 3400M?

Looking forward to some responses, RacA

    Hello:

    1. all processors intel are compatible up to i7 2620 Mr. your Council to support only integrated graphics system - which is provided by Intel.

    2. only the Intel.

3 Intel Core i7 2620 M has only integrated graphics card. No graphics chip dedicated to your room. So for the play of light, your current processor is good enough for i7 2620 M and two i3 2330 M has integrated graphics card Intel HD 3000.

The overall system performance might be slightly increased with i7 2620 M.

  • upgrading to an Intel i5 processor intel inside pentium

I was wondering if my hp 15-d051sa will be compatible to upgrade from intel inside pentium for an i5 replacement as I'm having problems playing games?

You can update as much as this processor:

    Intel Core processor i5 3230M (2.60 GHz, 3, 0 - MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W) 711903-002

However, this is a very difficult and costly upgrade and do much of the capacity of the computer game. The video is the bottleneck of the game. There is a version of your model a Radeon™ HD 8570 M video which is kind of a lower mid-range grahics card. I guess that yours is the Intel graphics card which is not able to play in the true sense.

So bottom line you need to change the motherboard not the CPU for game. Your processor is powerful enough if he was on the good mother. However, the cost of replacing the motherboard is going to do it not a good idea.

  • The upgrade of Intel processors

I have a HP Touchsmart want Ultrabook 4, and I'm interested in upgrading my Intel Core i5 processor to the fourth generation (from the third generation). It is even possible, and if this is the case, how can I do to upgrade? I only want to upgrade to a better graphics card. Thank you!

This article refers only to upgrade (read REPLACEMENT) your device (COMPUTER) with a new one containing the 4th Gen Intel CPU. The facts seem to point to 4th Gen Intel processors requiring that all new sockets with greater spindle counts compared to their Gen 3 processors. If this is the case, no upgrade BIOS will make possible.

  • ProBook 4510 s PM45 - memory upgrade

    Hello!

    I have HP ProBook 4510 s with PM45 chipset.

    Currently, I have DDR2 2 x 2 GB memory modules.

I want to upgrade my memory up to 8 GB. Are the slots in my laptop computer compatible DDR3 memory modules when well even I have DDR2 installed now?

    Hello:

According to the specifications of your laptop on the link below, your laptop comes with a DDR2 or DDR3 memory and can be upgraded up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).  Refer to pages 3 and 5.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13253_na/13253_na.PDF

It is physically impossible install DDR2 memory in slots DDR3 memory or vice versa, without breaking the slot or the memory module. They are not compatible with each other.

So, if you have DDR2 memory in your PC, you will need to stick with that (and 4 GB DDR2 modules are not cheap now).

  • to upgrade the bios on an hp dv4t-1400 with processor intel what file do you use in the sp48847

I downloaded the HP website sp48847 and extract the files, but I don't know who. FD to use file.

I have a 1400 dv4t with P7350 intel processor and bios are corrupt. It does not Flash by using the process of disconnecting the power remove the battery hold down power key B pluging and windows by pressing the power button / stop then release the keys B, button / stop and windows. It doesn't detect usb drive with any file flash bios on this subject, and I rename the file in 30F7. BIN.  At this point, I have to remove bios chip and flash with spi Flash bios I have. My only problem is that I don't know who. FD to use file.  I would be grateful if any body can help to know what file to use or a better idea altogether.

I was told that the file 30F7F66D. FD is for 30F7F66U and AMD processor. FD is for processor intel, but I can't be sure since I have to remove and replace. I also use another computer to download these files and load on the wheel.   Dv4t-1400 does not start.

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

Thanks again HaggisCat for more information on this problem. After a lot of research

I found a thread that has answered my question, the 30F7F66D file. FD is for discrete graphics and the 30F7F66U.fd file for

integrated graphics (UMA).  Just thought I would give you insight in the case where you never came across this problem.

    Thanks again for your response.

  • Upgrading processor on Satellite Pro M40 PSM46E

I currently have a Celeron M 1.4 GHz CPU in my laptop, the model 360, socket 479. Is it possible to upgrade the Core Solo or Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo)? If this is not the case, what are my upgrade options? I'd be happy with the Pentium M processors.

CPU - Z says my motherboard is an ATI with a Chipset RS400/RC400 SB400. I tried Googling this for the support of the processor, but it always birngs upward versions of office, not mobile.

    Post edited by: defy

Usually it s not easy and not recommended to upgrade the CPU on laptops, because you won't have no guarantee that after such upgraded the laptop will run stable.
The fastest CPU produce more heat, and this could lead to overheating.

But to my knowledge, the units have been delivered with these processors:
    Intel processor Dothan (533 MHz) 730 (1.6 G), 740 (1.73 G), 750 (1.86 G), 760 (2.0 G) and 770 (2.13GHz)
