[ProBook 6450 b] 104-no supported Intel Advanced - N 6200 wireless network
Hello
I have a ProBook 6450 b with the latest bios (F23) and remove the Broadcom wireless network and replace it with a new l an Advanced - N 6200 (support 300Mbps) and 5 GHz Intel.
Before I buy this wireless, I downloaded the manual and this wireless network is supported.
http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13616_ca/13616_ca.PDF
Page - 35
but when turn on the laptop, after the hp logo, I see:
"104 - unsupported wireless network device detected system interrupted - remove the instrument and reboot.
I try another device (Intel Wifi Link 1000) and this device work! Please hellp
This is your problem then.
Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop:
http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c03122685/c03122685.PDF
The list of wireless cards supported with HP part numbers can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 44.
You must get the module WLAN Intel Centrino Advanced-N6200 802.11 a/b/g/n 2 x 2 with HP part #.
572509 001.
Again, you can buy only a wireless card listed in the service manual for your laptop and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.
You can order directly from HP on the link below. You can change your country at the top of the page.
http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=F13BE835ABCA4E7C851B4DB0F4C74AFC
Or you might be able to get a card on eBay by searching by part number. Are not looking for the model number that you can end up with a card no HP.

HP Wireless Assistant for Windows 8 (upgrade of Windows 7) (HP Probook 6450 b)
Computer laptop HP ProBook 6450 b basic model
Purchased in September 2011.
Just yesterday upgraded to Windows 8. Was a child, all game worked initially. During the restart, I disabled the wireless since installation of Windows Defender wasnot.
Then I realized, I can't turn on wireless. The button is just disabled.
Can only be connected on the local network.
Search on the web revealed HP Wireless Assistant be the culprit. This should be removed before the upgrade in Win 7.
It is now too late. Does anyone have a resolution for this one?
Thank you
RG
I read in another post that changing the default BIOS settings should do the trick.
That seems to work:
-Stop the laptop
-Remove the power cable & battery
-Press the on switch for 30 seconds
-Power home
-Laptop power and press F10
-Enter the BIOS and set the changes to default
That seemed to work.
Of course, restarting do not work and that is easy to fix (driven from power!).
Thank you all for the advice.
PS:
Bought a mac & this laptop from h - p in 2011. Mac went through 2 operating system upgrades (cost $20) and "0"... questions
Windows 7 to Windows 8 for $40 to upgrade and crazy questions...

- Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 802.11 b/g/n (2 x 2)
- Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (2 x 2)

You can use only one in the list above.

Upgrade of the HP-7260he wireless card
I currently have the Ralink RT5390 stock wifi card on my HP 7260he 8 64-bit Windows running, and really, I don't like it and am wanting to switch to something like the
Intel 7260HMW IEEE 802.11ac, dual-band, 2 x 2 Wi - Fi more combo Bluetooth Mini PCI Express Adapter - 867 Mbps 4.0 + 300Mbps - internal - OEM. ($26 on Newegg)
Is it possible, or should I just stay with the card stock wifi?
Thanks in advance.
At some point in the recent past, HP dropped the dreaded wifi Whitelist. Exactly when and on which models we know. Yours may or may not have a white list. Your complete model is Envy dv6-7260he, by the way.
It is the only card dual-band capable of 5 GHz that will work without a doubt, even with the white list. It is a very good card:
Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN 670691-001
Here, it's on eBay for about $5:
You can be our Guinea pig and try the 802.11ac card and let us know if the system starts or if you get the message 'unsupported wireless. You will get all advanatage go AC card without a router AC and even the map above won't help you unless you have a N wireless router broadband 5 GHz. Only bluetooth combo cards that are certainly on the whitelist are 1 x 1 (2.4 ghz only), but people, this would be the best:
Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 adapter and 1 × 1 9485GN 3012 655795-001

HP ProBook 4520 s wirelless card
Hello
I have a HP Probook 4520 s for about 4 years. My problem is that my wirelless card has stopped working. I tried to reinstall the drivers for this card, reset, but it didn't. A computer guy told me, this problem is in wirelless card, I need a new. It is SPARE HP 602992-001 WiFi card. I'm looking for a new on the internet and I read, this new card must be in the white list for my model. I founs some cards on ebay, but I don't know what they will be working. Can you help me, when I should looking for a new or who can I buy instead of this one?
I'm running on Windows 8.1.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards
Matho285
Here you go for an exact replacement:
Yours is a wi - fi network and bluetooth module, so if you want to replace double you another module. 4520 s used several types of cards. They are listed in pages 70-73 repair here:
It is another option for you:
WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 Broadcom 4313 and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo adapter
600370 001Read the instructions carefully for instructions on replacing the card. It's a bit more involved on this model. Do not know why the Ralink is more expensive than the Broadcom; personally, I prefer the Broadcom. If you replace the Broadcom module you load new wifi and Bluetooth drivers. Here are the Win7 drivers:
HP did not post drivers Windows 8.1 for this model, but it is likely to have the drivers to load automatically for the bluetooth and wifi Broadcom.

ProBook 6450 b (ATI): the upgrade of my Probook with mSATA SSD
Hello! ProBook 6450 b. I want to upgrade my computer with mSATA SSD drive. I've got slot free mini-PCIE (what is expected for the WWAN card). The problem is that I don't know if this Probook (updated of course!) BIOS supports modyfications like this. Can anyone help?
Kind regards!
I happen to be sitting here with his cousin the 6530 b working on it for a friend and I can tell you that it is earlier than mSATA WSSD readers. The crack is only for a WWAN card. If you put a disc mSATA in it the computer does not respond.

Hi, guys and Gil.
I have a question about replacing the card wireless for my HP ProBook 450 (F7Y25ES). now, this laptop is "equipped with" MediaTek/Ralink MT7630E combo and he abandoned wireless connection every 5-10 minutes. I want to raplace that piece of crap with intel centrino card.
Here I found the information that I can use Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 670292-001 http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/HP-ProBook-450-G0-wireless-adapter-spare-brands/td-p/...
I found only here http://www.partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=F7Y25ES of card atheros
So guys help me to know about the compatibility of this card with my laptop?
Thank you.
The eBay seller it says here, if you are not too picky about grammar:
Compatible with:
- Fit all brand, not incl. HP/Lenovo laptops
Need a covered card "HP". This card will work and you will have wifi and bluetooth, dual band, 2.4 ghz and 5.0 ghz.
Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260AN WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2 x 2 + BT4.0 717381-001
It's a bit expensive but a very strong card.
The manual says supports the N-6235 advanced, he gives no room for a compatible part number.
It is not listed in the manual of 450 Probook, but I bet it will work since it's a HP card (and quite a bit cheaper than the 7260):
I know the image seems as well as that you have linked above, but I would be sure that the tying in your post is for the version not HP.
If it's 'the Answer' please click on "Accept as Solution" while others may find.

Hello, I'm trying to find a wireless network (internal) compatible for the laptop in $subject. Looking at the manual, I see a list of compatible chipsets, but I wanted to see if someone could check for me that cards that I found with these chipsets should be ok.
The manual, I'm looking in here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02642701.pdf with the information wireless from bottom of page for and continues on page 5. Maps I've found which seem to be matches are:

Hello
All compatible (with part numbers) cards start from page 24 of the manual even. I suggest using the Atheros AR9280 or Broadcom 4322. This is the wifi chip only, no combos with bluetooth but connectivity bluetooth can be added by a usb adapters. There are many of them on ebay.
AR9280: 580101-002
Broadcom 4322:582564 - 001
These two circuits are for the U.S., etc...
Edit: all three chips should work on your laptop, but these are only tokens of 1 x 1 single band and will not support the 5 GHz network. 600370 001 is a combo of Broadcom (4313) with bluetooth and the other is the same Broadcom (4313) but the only wifi chip.

Need help finding the right wireless card
Hello
I'm trying to find out what wireless network card should I buy for my laptop computer backup HP Pavilion dv4000 (dv4253EA) can someone help with this?
Hello:
Your model came with the wireless network card.
Is there a place to install a wireless card?
Are there already the antennas in the compartment?
If this isn't the case, you will need to purchase an external wireless adapter.
Please see the service manual in Chapter 5 for the location where the wireless card is going.
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c00553278.PDF
There is also a list of the supported WLAN cards with HP numbers.
None of them are available for sale to HP, then your best bet is to buy used on eBay.
Questioned by the HP part only number.
Only one of the listed cards will work and they also have the HP piece on them or they will not work.
