  I'm trying so install windows 2012 with this media in my Esxi 5.5.0, but the installation starts I get a message saying tha windows must only be installed in the hp machines.

  My doubt is that I am under esxi custom hp: VMware-ESXi-5.5.0-1746974-HP-5.72A.3-Jun2014.iso

  Why my windows does not recognize that I have do its installation on an hp machine?

  How could I solve this problem? Could I download another image of windows and activate it with my key product?

  We live a very slow local data store for speeds of transfer of data store on a new server ProLiant DL20 Gen VMware-ESXi-6.0.0-2494585-HP-600.9.3.30.2

  I just looked and this controller does not support cache modules. I the Chuck and use a series of P Smart Array with a cache module. This really seems to be a bare step up an AHCI controller.

• HP Proliant 310th V2 Gen 8 - cannot install grub

  I just installed Debian on a new 310 V2 Gen 8 HP Proliant server. I was installing Linux on desktop computers, laptops, servers (Dell only) for more than 15 years. I know my way around various Linux distributions, but prefers the apt-systems, including Debian Stable for the servers.

  I have converted the entire partition in a space physical for encryption, followed by LVM and partitioning in /, / tmp, / var, / Home and Exchange. The installation went without incident, but I could not install grub on the MBR.

  I have a mystery partition (approximately 256 MB in size) that has been preserved during the installation. I guess that it contains all the additional software HP preloaded (like smart procurement, etc.).

  How to start in my installation?

  Solved the problem.

  I have re-installed, this time using this mystery slot/Boot partition. His only 254 MB in size, so it is possible this may come back to bite me in the anus.

  I need to figure out if there is anything special/different regaurding how ATV (4th Gen) made the resolution DNS when wired to a Comcast cable modem only (no wifi and no router)?  I notice that my ATV selects a different subnet when ATV is set automatically resolve IP and DNS.  Example of my Dell PC Tower and Sony laptop automatically use a subnet of 255.255.255.0, but ATV uses the example below:

  Hello. You say there is no router, but I guess that the Comcast modem is also a router and DHCP server. Are you using IPv6? You use a static IP address?

  I have a 3 generation IPOD touch and it won't let me sign on the IPOD touch to get all the apps.

  But I can't signon to apple on my Windows 7 computer (with this ID different than my main Apple ID) and watch the apple news in the Gen 3 IPOD online.

  I wanted to go to the app store and download an older version and the app for the key.  But when I sign on the IPOD touch says wrong password?  But I can sign with my apple Online ID?

  NOTE: it was my OLD IPOD touch wife and she wanted no more.  I have a very specific use for it.  So I reformatted it under a different email and Apple ID.

This is while watching videos streaming on Apple TV, the main reason I bought the thing.

  Now I try the same procedure to see if it will work. Why - what is falling all the time. I am registered on iTunes, but Apple TV says that I am not connected. This is getting very frustrating.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. From what you have said, it seems that for Apple TV streaming home sharing is cutting.  Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. There are a few things that we can do that you mentioned not try again. I recommend you read these articles, since this seems consistent throughout a few Macs, maybe it's a problem with the AppleTV.

  Yes, it works. This looks like some weird glitch. Using the new application ATV 4 remote control (black), or the older version, now called iTunes remotely? Try restarting the ATV using the settings > system > restart. Then try to pair it again.
