  Restore point:

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

The Basic, standard and digital alphabet punctuation glyphs has sans serif, Roman characters, but the rest is thousands of Kanji characters.   Open system preferences > App Store, and then click check now.

  This should take you through the update process.

  And check the Gatekeeper.

  Back to System Preferences > Privacy & security, then select the general tab.
