  I just upgraded to 10 windows on my laptop and found it after doing my printer/scanner would not work. I tried to re-the install... help section of vousLe says I need "photosmart" I apparently do not have and do not have an option to download.

  Why it won't print or scan?

  It's not even a display option for the scanner anywhere. and when I try to print, nothing happens.

  I see that you have some problems with the implementation of your Deskjet F2480 10 Windows PC. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. If your printer is connected to your PC via a USB cable, remove it.
  2. In your search type in printers bar and open devices and printers.
  3. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
  4. Click on remove the instrument.
  5. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
  6. Uninstall all software associated with the printer to your PC.
  7. Restart your PC.
  8. Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

• HP Deskjet F2480 Center Solution is not displayed correctly

  I use my Deskjet F2480 years (since 2009) and never had any problems, but since yesterday, I can't get my HP Solution Center to display correctly.

  When I click it, the box opens and everything is there except for any text. Therefore, I can not choose to scan or copy or whatever it is I want to do.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled but that did not help. I know that I can access "Devices and printers" and then get the scanner to work but I can't change the quality of the scans as precisely as per solution Center so the end result is much lower than what I was used to.

  I was cleaning the discs and you have to see if maybe the computer (Windows 7) rather than the scanner is to blame, but nothing seems to help.

  What should I do to get my solution Center works again?

  It sounds as if you have installed the base driver. There is more software available. What was download it should have been more than 117 MB. If the download was @ 37 MB, then it's the base driver.

  My printer has a paper jam and the paper was pulled out of the front (wrong way). The printer feeds through but does not actually print. Is this fixable or is the garbage bin of the printer?   I understand that you had a paper jam in the printer all-in-one HP Deskjet F2480 that was removed incorrectly and as your printer prints blank pages of your Windows 7 computer. I would like to help you to solve this problem for you today.

  I will first of all, did you try to print a report on the print quality standalone:

  1. make sure that you have plain white, letter size paper loaded in the paper feeder.

  2. press and hold the Power button () and the Cancel button () for 10 seconds. The long self-test report prints.

  

  If all fine print: That the problem you are experiencing is not a hardware problem, as the color and black print for you. On the contrary, it's perhaps now a problem with a driver or configuration on your computer.

  If black doesn't print color but not: That paper jam may affect your printing system. Please click here to go through the steps of troubleshooting a print quality.

  If a blank page prints: I can you have click here to launch the jam troubleshooting steps. It is important that ensure us that no other documents or debris is in your path of paper and ink block to go on your pages. It is also important to check the transport box that controls your ink cartridges to move left right inside your printer. If the transport is defective, ink will not print.

  We will first determine if any black ink comes out of your printer.

  This document describes how to check the ink levels and how to print an alignment page.  You should check you have black ink in your cartridge and you should see black on the alignment page printing.

  If you do not see the black ink on the page, you should do a cleaning of the cartridge.

  If you still haven't black ink, you may have to replace the ink cartridge.

  Let me know how the printer performs on these alignment pages.  If black ink prints fine on this page, this indicates a problem with the selection of the driver or settings.

• Windows 8 will not connect wireless for HP deskjet F2480

  I have a new HP laptop with windows 8 and tried setting to the top of my HP Deskjet F2480 printer by connecting the usb cable.

  The printer appears under "Devices", but it shows offline. Whenever I try to print something I just get a failed"" message.

  I know the printer works wireless as my previous laptop was working well. I checked the 'sharing' is on.

  I tried to download the drivers for Windows, but not luck.

  Can anyone help please?

  I've read about the software problem that you encounter on your system Windows 8.1, as printing software does not work for you, and you see the error "the HP Imaging device cannot be found". I have some ideas in mind which may help you!

  Perform an uninstall of level 3:

  If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1. press Windows key + R and type %temp% enforcement and press enter

  2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. run the L3uninstall.exe

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  9. try a clean boot that turns off all startup programs. Disable all firewall and anti-virus too and try the installation again.

  10 download the drivers and full software features: here

  11. once the printer is installed, go back to the clean boot instructions to re-enable the startup programs.

• Westell 7500 can not see AP wnr834bv2

  I had a nice home network consisting of a WGR614v5 in one place, powered by a 660 modem and a WNR834bv2 configured as an AP in a more convenient location to provide wireless connectivity to my wife and my laptop.  I could access both routers to change the configuration options (turn wireless switch) by their IPS (192.168.1.1 & 192.168.1.200 respectively).

  Then "lightning" stuck nearby and pulled the 660 modem and WGR614v5 router.  My provider was willing to replace them, but with a Westell 75002207 wireless modem/router combo.  The installation went well except, this unit converts all IP addresses, attached in 10.0.0.X.  The only device, it doesn't have to be converted was WNR834bv2 AP and it's because, I guess, he could not "see."  No matter how many times the new router 'scans', he never finds 192.168.1.200 (WNR834bv2).

  Because I, I can access is no longer (when you go away, I usually turn wireless off) by it of IP address of origin, even isolated from the rest of the network, or no matter what other 10.0.0.x I try within the new range of routers DHCP.

  Can someone help me understand why this is happening?  And by the way, the WNR834bv2 works yet it's wireless and wired functions perfectly well, I just can't get it.

  Yes, the problem is that (most likely the new main router) DHCP server is the allocation of units 10.x.x.x who cannot communicate with address 192.168.1.200.  To work around the problem of IP address, you need to set a static IP address on the device.  Simply plug wireless access point won't be enough in most cases.  Whenever I have install an access point, I always disabled the DHCP protocol to the access point in order to avoid any potential conflict.  In some cases, might manually configure the router DHCP pool and the access point to prevent its contradictory.  However, according labels what Netgear unit, I suspect you are routers in Garland instead of a router and an access point.

  The bottom of this document details how to set a static IP address in Windows XP.  Set the static IP address for 192.168.1.201 (No 192.168.1.200 as argued already) with the subnet mask that uses 192.168.1.200 (default should be 255.255.255.0).  Once the PC has a static address that works with the 192.168.1.200/255.255.255.0 access point, you should be able to access it, and then make the necessary changes.  Alternatively, you can change the new router to issue addresses in the 192.168.1.X/255.255.255.0 range, and it should work as it did before.

• ENVY 4520: Computer does not see section scanner WANT

  Last weekend, I bought a 4520 want TO replace a malfunctioning Lexmark all in one. I quickly learned that the software for this printer avaulable was not available for Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion). However, I followed the instructions on the Apple and this site and downloaded the appropriate drivers for the 4500 series. I am able to print wireless from my Mac, but when I attempy yo scan, the 4520 does not appear. In fact, printing and control panel Scan sees not the 4520 otherwise than as a printer no scan option available. Utility HP 'sees' the fevice but offers no adjustment of parameters. The application of scanning HP, does not see it no more.

  While printing is the main reason I bought this unit, the scan function is also valuable and I would like to be able to use it. Of course the current HP software does not support my Mac and OS (Lion) - are there any ear; first versions of installation scanning software partitions. If not, do you have suggestions for () maybe) generic software that will allow me to use the scanner?

  Sorry for the frustration you must be feeling.  I did some checking and confirmed that HP only provides drivers scan of your product on OS X 10.8 and later versions.  This product also supports the Apple AirPrint (scan) functionality, which allows you to scan without HP software, but still this support is only available on OS X 10.10 and later versions.

  I am not familiar with the features of 3rd party scan applications.  My only suggestion would be to consider upgrading the version of the OS on your Mac (if possible) because this opens up your options considerably.

  I didn't mean that you cannot run Windows 7. I have run on systems with 512 MB of ram. It will work, but will slip. It will be the same for Vista. I recommend that stick you with Xp until you are able to upgrade your ram.
