Windows 8 will not connect wireless for HP deskjet F2480

I have a new HP laptop with windows 8 and tried setting to the top of my HP Deskjet F2480 printer by connecting the usb cable.

The printer appears under "Devices", but it shows offline. Whenever I try to print something I just get a failed"" message.

I know the printer works wireless as my previous laptop was working well. I checked the 'sharing' is on.

I tried to download the drivers for Windows, but not luck.

Can anyone help please?

I'm glad you are printing.  Let me know if I can do anything else for you help.  Nice day?

    Hello erobb14,

We will try to remove your Wi - Fi card and let Windows to install it again. This will reset any options or configuration errors that may have been applied.

Press and hold the Windows key and press W.
In the search bar, type "Device Manager" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.

Once inside the Device Manager, please find and unfold the group named "network adapters".
From there, to identify your wireless card (it will very probably include the word "wireless" or "802.11".

Now, right click on the wireless network device and click "Uninstall".
If you're facing a check box asking if you want to remove the driver as well, please let it be empty.

After the device has been uninstalled, restart your device and try to connect to the wireless again.

  • Laptop will NOT connect wireless, my drivers ARE up to date

My Windows Vista laptop, USED to connect to my router wireless very well. Now it won't, it doesn't even recognize that a network is available. I looked for answers and have updated all my drivers on windows suggested and still not connect wireless. My blackberry to connect to my router very well... Help, please!

    Hello

Turn off the router and the Modem - wait 3 minutes and reverse. Restart the computer.

Some systems have a power switch on the front or side. If a laptp or a PC that uses embedded
WiFi check/configuration settings (BIOS/CMOS) as you start - often F2 then warning screen - select-
boar without wireless/WiFi. If the PC of a kitchen separated and system maps turned OFF and try to remove and
replacement of the card - in fact remove - do not just tight.

A manual update or re - stall your drivers by using these methods, do not use only the driver update as
You must refresh the batteries of any driver.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon. Use a wire or download drivers
on another computer and use removable media to transfer to your system.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
    updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

  • Equium A100-147 will not connect wireless Internet!

    Hello
For these last months that my cell phone was able to connect to internet, I think I must have downloaded a virus that deleted the necessary drivers for the wireless card to work, it is still all access points, but it does not connect.

I tried to reinstall the operating system (Media Center) a few times - that didn't work, and now I have some drivers that I got from my computer on a toshiba Web site - they don't work anymore.

I'm stuck now because I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works, so I hope I can get some good advice on here :D
    Thank you

    Hello

I really put t understand why the installation of the OS is so hard :(
You have received the Toshiba Recovery CD. On this CD all the drivers and tools are already preinstalled.
You insert this CD into the CD/DVD to boot from the CD drive and the installation will begin. After 10-15 min the installation will end and the laptop should be ready for use.

Then configure the WLan access again (encryption, SID, MAC address, etc.) and enjoy.

  • 3520, printer all-in-one will not connect wireless

I am running Lion on my Mac. The printer works correctly when it is connected by the USB cable. The test of the printer indicates the wireless connection is OK. But when the cable is disconnected, my computer does not find the printer so I can't print wirelessly. The computer says it is plugged into the same ID wireless. I tried to reinstall the HP software to no success. Very frustrating that the printer was working wireless for a year with no problems. It just stopped during the night. Thanks for any help you can provide... Ted

    Hi TED1234,

There is a chance that the HP software that came with the printer may not work with your version of Lion. I recommend to download the installation here:
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Al-103382-2&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4114&product=5162506&sw_lang=

After you download the driver, I recommend trying to follow the steps listed in the method three second-stage for OS x 10.7 Lion. In step 2 of the second method, there are 2 options. According to what is invited on your Mac, you will want to follow the instructions for the appropriate option.

Please specify the details of your installation if this does not resolve your problems of wireless configuration. If you encounter error messages, please note them here and attach a screenshot of your laptop. You can take screenshots by pressing "Control + shift + 4" and the screenshot will automatically record your desktop.

    Thank you.

  • Windows 7 will not recognize driver for HP Scanjet 5370c scanner

I was not able to get Windows 7 to recognize the driver for my HP Scanjet scanner on my new HP Pavilion Elite a9200z desktop computer.  I tried to install the original driver delivered with the software that not only failed, but it was necessary to do a system restore to an earlier date.  After downloading the software update and the driver on the HP website (for the XP operating system. (No), the software successfully installed but Device Manager said there is no driver installed.  I tried Udating driver in Device Manager, but none were found on the system.  I'm afraid that because the driver is not signed by HP, this is perhaps the reason that the system will not recognize it.  I do not receive a message about the driver being made and has been disabled.

Where would the driver have been installed under Windows and what would be the name of the file?  Is it possible to install a driver that has not been signed on Windows 7, even though I know that it comes directly from the manufacturer.  I came on this forum that says HP email support is no longer in effect for this scanner.  Scanner was working fine under Windows XP.  Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Thank you for your response.  I posted the same question to the Board of Directors Microsoft as well.  One of the technicians gave me a link to a website that has software in support of scanners which pilots the manufacturer has not, for some reason, took worth to upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7.  I installed Vuescan driver bundled with the program which works perfectly, and my scanner HP Scanjet scanner 5370c is upward and great in Windows 7.  They have a list of more than 100 scanners supported by the program.  So, anyone interested should check the list before you buy the program.  No, the program is not free, but it is much cheaper ($39.95) that pitching on a scanner perfectly ideal of work and having to buy a new one.    Anyway, if anyone is interested in the possibility of using their scanner ' is no longer supported "with Windows 7, the website below might help.

  • Want 5540: Blue light blinks and the printer will not connect wireless

Printer has been successfully implemented and operational, but today the blue light flashes, it does not connect to our wireless and will not be the same impression with ubs. I disconnected and reconnected several times and removed and reloaded the software, but the problem persists.

Turn off the router and the printer. Turn on the router, wait 3 min. Turn on the printer and see if it connects to the router.

  • LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw: Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw will not connect wireless - used to work properly

OK - I'm out of here.

I've owned a Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw for awhile, and it worked perfectly.

Installed the software for 2 computers at home and everything worked well.

Last week, I changed the password to my router for the home network.

The printer showed as "offline".  I couldn't change the status.

After much trying I totally uninstalled the software, deleted the printers on my PC and reinstalled.

I run the installer - tell him I want to go and so that it can detect my wireless network settings.  (I also tried the option where I have to enter the information manually). All else fails.

Setup starts and then asks me to install the USB cable.  I do that and the installation program is going very slowly (I mean it crawls along) and wrote "Product has been detected", "Waiting for installation of the product at the end. Then I get a big red 'X' and it is said that it took too long to run and a fatal error occurrred or he tells me that it cannot find a product to install.  If I run the installer and say USB only, it works very well.  Ugh.

When I press the button on the front panel wireless and it flashes only and that's all.

Here's what I did - full power / turn off the PC and the router.  Updated the firmware of the printer used the new installer (all from the HP website).  Tried it on 2 different PC to ensure that it was not isolated.

The USB cable is good because after the failure, I can print via USB (I lost a forest to print the test pages).  Same PC and OS for both when I bought the printer.

Ironically, I spent several years in this DOCUMENT, so it's not familiar works for me, just very frustrating!

Well, I finally had it - realized that the WIFI adapter on the PC had to have the new password entered.

It was step 1.  Step 2 followed another post where I attached the printer directly via ethernet to the router cable, and once the IP address appears in the menu of the printer, I entered on my browser and the name of the router is entered, pw and managed to turn off the wireless printer on.  Then, by running the installer worked like a charm.  Woo-Hoo

  • HP OfficeJet8600 suddenly will not connect wireless to my MacBook

I bought a HP OfficeJet8600 six months. Connect with the MacBook. Works very well.

Today, it stopped.  Printer works. Does not connect to the Macbook.

Makes all bases, reboot etc. No luck.

    Help!

    Hi alissas,.

    Thank you for your answer!

    I recommend the following:

    1. Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the printer software.
    2. Re-install the software from the website online. HP Officejet Pro 8600 series full feature software and driver-OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
    3. Take a look at this post, incoming and outgoing Printer Ports, to ensure that the router is not blocking ports. (If you don't know how to determine this, you need to contact your router company).

Hope this information helps, and have a wonderful day!
