• SimplePass 2011 problem

  A few days ago my new TouchSmart 520-1030, began to connect to a temporary profile at startup. Investigation revealed that a TrueSuiteService of the Image was breaking and had the open register/profile, not allowing not window to use my normal profile. I was able to rename the image and get Windows to start correctly.

  This image is part of SimplePass 2011, which has been pre-loaded onto my PC. I've not got a fingerprint reader and do not need this software, but here the problem, this isn't a problem in the future.  I could not find a pointer to the SimplePass software. I'd rather not completely restore my PC, if possible. can someone give me a pointer to this software?

  I tried to update Hp simplepass 2011 and when I hit updates, it says successful download, but the file is not valid.  Is could someone please tell me what I can do?  Also, when I update to the latest internet explorer, the simplepass will no longer work.  Thanks for your help!

  Hi again. Until there is an appropriate update you must deal with passwords of fashion old way.

  The simplepass is savvy to Internet Explore so I wanted to say that if you cannot access accounts through simple use of other browsers and key user names and passwords.

  This is the best that can be done with it at the time.

  HP Simple pass 2011, the latest version of the software "HP Simplepass", made by Authentec (so, NOT of Egistec or similar) does not work with Firefox 6.

• Account problem HP Simplepass 2011

  This is partly because of my own stupidity... in gasoline; That is the problem - I registered a few fingers on SimplePass on a Windows account, later, I created a separate user account and deleted the original account. Now when I try to use Simplepass on my new account, it says I've already enrolled fingers. Worse, it then disconnects me from my current account to try to connect to my original one but fails since I deleted it...

  Since I already deleted the original windows account I could just open a session and remove my impressions, is there a manual way to an inscription ' a finger or delete data printing HP Simplepass?

  This solution worked for me, should work for everyone.

  Uninstall the drivers of the fingerprint from the Device Manager.

  • Go to Device Manager > pilot biometric > validity sensors > uninstall > check delete the driver software

  Uninstall the HP Simplepass software

  • Go to control panel > uninstall a program > HP Simplepass

  Restart the computer

  GoTo edit biometric parameters

  • Option 1: Type "biometric settings" on the start menu
  • Option 2: Control Panel > hardware and sound > biometric devices

  Trigger biometrics > APPLY

  SET ON Biometrics > APPLY

  Trigger biometrics > APPLY

  SET ON Biometrics > APPLY

  Install the drivers fingerprints

  Install HP Simplepass

  It works like a charm.

  When I got the HP dm4 pavilion helped me disable simplepass2011.  Now, it started working and do not have my fingerprint.  I can't turn it off permanently.  If I use uninstall it warns me that it will remove all passwords, etc.  How can I get this program off my laptop?

  Avoid any problem of uninstalling the app Simplepass from your PC if you are not going to use it anyway.

  Hello

  My question is about obtaining quicklaunch to work with simplepass 6.0.100.276 on Win 8.1 on HP Envy Touchsmart laptop

  I use simplepass to connection OK.

  This allows me to assign Web sites to the fingers once I am connected.

  It allows me to "tick" quicklaunch.

  But I can't assign a shortcut to the application of a finger - I can only 'Add' a Web site and assign it. Most of the other options/buttons appear just as HP online documentation suggests that they should.

  I can see the various config files that relate to applications.

  I did find a configuration file that shows the websites that I have already assigned.

  All the help online means simplepass 2011 or 2012, mine is Authentec V6 Copyright 2012.

  Ah, Chrome is my default, but looking into it I see IE is the default value for .url shortcut Internet and he will not give it away. A quick google seems that it is a common question.

  What is interesting, is if I create a shortcut of 'Internet' on my desk, it launches a chrome tab, but simplepass still use IE.

  I found that there is a "BrowserLaunch.exe" program, which receives "http:/// and if I replace with my own I can launch applications.

  I have a laptop HP DV6-6120us, bought less than 3 months ago. My validity sensor HP Simple pass suddenly stopped working. I looked in my device manager in the control panel and located the biometric device such as validity sensors (WBF) (PID = 0018). I checked the status of the device and received this message: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). "I checked to see if the necessary driver update, but it seems that I have the latest version. What should I do now to restore my HP Simple pass to the State? The version I use is 4.3.118.0. Thank you.

  Welcome to the world of HP SimplePass 2011 / 2012.

  OK, take a look through the forum and you will find a large number of (MANY) entries on HP SimplePass 2011 / 2012. There is also a replacement for the HP version called EgisTec SimplePass that some people have used successfully.

  The system on which SimplePass 2012 is / was responsible is in the shop for repair of webcam, so I can't comment or experiment on it for you on the error code 43.  I found that after some looking around...

  Error code 43 may have a USB taste - you may be suffering from problems Validity Sensor (driver).  The mechanism of material of fingerprints may have failed - unlikely in a new system.

  The software is probably trashed for a similar reason that HP SimplePass does not for everyone - it is fussy software and is subject to driver problems.

  It is not a lot of fun at the moment - all Rate Digital Persona.  The smile.

  You're updated to HP SimplePass 2011 as much as you can.

  So, what to try.

  An idea:

  • If you can get in SimplePass, do it and get it saved - you must ensure that you have your saved web cards.  (I can help if you are unsure how to do this.)
  • After graduating SimplePass saved, delete it.
  • Next, clean your registry database.  If you do not have a registry cleaner, CCleaner is a good, find another, and use one of your choice.
  • Restart, even if you are not told to do.  Windows like it when you reboot.

  Next:

  You might go to HP SimplePass 2012.

  So, uninstall and reinstall your driver to the latest validity.

• SimplePass only works with IE and not other browsers

  SimplePass v5.20.205a should work with other browsers like Chrome or Firefox?

  On my dv7-4295us w / Win7 - 64 bit, SimplePass only works with IE8/9. Use IE, suddenly me in connects to the listed sites. With Chrome or Firefox, suddenly won't open the password manager. After scrolling to and by selecting the entry with the correct connection info, an instance of IE opens and connects me.

  If Firefox is set as the default browser, one touch opens the password manager. You select the Web site, a warning message (Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the Protocol (dpql) is not associated with any program.)

  If Chrome is the browser default, one touch opens the password manager. The selection of the correct entry, results in a new instance of Chrome to open to my home page.

  BTW - the link for help does not (never) bar of tasks or SimplePass inside.

  Welcome to the Forum!

  Firefox will work with your version of SimplePass, called Digital Persona.

  The limitation is that you must use a PREVIOUS Firefox version: ~ 3.6 28

  Download of Firefox 3.6.x

  If you're ready to do this (use the old version), then you can use all the sites to your connections and also use the HP connection to access your account on your computer when it starts.  This old version of Firefox also works very well with IE8/9.

  You can update Firefox to the bosom of the version 3.6.x, when they ask... just don't get excited and upgrade to the latest Firefox or Simplepass balk.  Tip: You can keep a copy of your download 3.6.x autour just in case you lose the installation or something else happens and you need to reinstall Firefox later.

  IE8 is quite Rocky.  If you have no choice, be it, immediately update IE9.

  I don't know about Chrome.  Couldn't get anything to work with it.

  SimplePass flavoers Digital Persona and HP SimplePass 2011 / 2012 are MATERIAL dependent.  This means that your computer hardware dictates what kind of software SimplePass, you should run on your computer.  If you run Digital Persona SimplePass style, you must continue to run such - at least for now.  The software code is different, and are the two types are not interchangeable.

  As to the original question; I work around it.

  The answer is, as I understand it:

  • HP SimplePass 2011 / 2012 V5.3.1.7 (the most recent of the 'old' versions still in use)

  • HP SimplePass 2011 V5.4.0.402 - buggy and not recommended
  • HP SimplePass V5.4.0.620 (from AuthenTec) - is no longer available

  NOTE: None of the above versions work with newer versions of browsers Firefox or Chrome

  • HP SimplePass V6.0.100.257, V6.0.100.272 - obsolete, while 272 is always used and works for these books for which it was originally planned.
  • HP SimplePass V6.0.100.276 latest version, series 6 AuthenTec - available at HP

  The latest version of series 6, if already installed AND that if he worked previously with Chrome, can still work with Chrome IF a particular solution is used AND of workaround is installed before the original Extension nonfunctional is removed from Chrome.  Confusing?  Yes.

  Series 8 HP SimplePass, the Softex version that now comes with new HP laptops, works with Windows 7 to Windows 8.x - when it works at all.  (Personal observation).  Series 8 requires Internet Explorer.  Series 8 worked for about three weeks with Chrome Google stomped on it.  Series 8 HP SimplePass seems to work with 4.3.205.0 drivers and newer.

• Error HP SimplePass

  I just got a new computer and for awhile SimplePass worked very well. However, I recently had problems with it crashing and was unable to go to Web sites, I used to frequent.

  I use google chrome and there was once a small HP SimplePass icon at the top right next to the star of the Favorites. The only way I could stop SimplePass crashing constantly was to remove it. But now, I can't scroll my finger to enter the webcard I already saved. The webcards are still there, but I was unable to access as small pop-up offering to reach my finger to log on did not come at all.

  So I need help to restore this icon on my browser.

  That will probably reinstall the plugin to Chrome.  It will not solve the problem of crash.

  Essentially, you may just need to "Reinstall" your current version of HP SimplePass above itself and then RESTART / reboot the computer.  Who must give the Plugin in Chrome.  Go into the settings of Chrome to make sure that the Plugin is "enabled."

  Try to repair the SImplePass software:

  Regarding the crash...
  You may need to upgrade your version of HP SimplePass to a later Version.  Depending on your exact computer model (not supplied) and your version of validity sensor driver, you may be able to upgrade to a version of HP SimplePass who may not have the problem of crash with Chrome.
