HP Slim line s3631

It seems that the power supply has failed. I can't find how to order a property I found a part number on the site of HP Solutions. I asked 2 computer companies if they could watch, but they wouldn't know. I'm not a technician IT but would like to have my PC works again. He is not yet 3 years old

Boswick,

OK, so you call these guys to the United Kingdom and order the power supply. They service (fix/repair).

  • S52060f Pavilion Slim Line: how create a set of recovery disks is service pack 1 burn on the disc

    Hello

No problems with one of my desktop windows 7 but have some questions and concerns.   Outside my thin line, I have 2 other computers hp windows 7.  They are p6510T CTO Desk Top clubhouse and Pavilion HPE H8m Desk Top.   I created my own set of recovery for each computer cd.   When I created the recovery discs, I don't remember if my computer came with service pack 1 preinstalled by buying them directly at Hp.     My first question is this.   Do plant purchased hp computers come with service pack 1 already preinstalled.

Next question.   If they do and the recovery discs that I burned for each service pack 1 image, too, be burned on the disks.   Finally.   Is there a limit to the way in which many times can I use my recovery by computer disks.

You place your order of recovery disks is not possible that they are discontinued.   I also undertand after reloading windows I can load the service pack 1 back when running a windows update.   But it is easier to have service pack 1 already imaged on any set of recovery disks.   If some can please please point this out.    Thank you.

If you create recovery discs when you got the computers, you can use them as many times as you want as long as they continue to work.  SP1 would not be included.  I don't think that they were not in what you received initially.  They come through Windows Update, see the center of update and the Service Pack

The recovery disc for the p6510t are available at the surgeons of the computer if necessary:

The model s52060f turns out to be incorrect, please confirm.  The number of HPE H8m is incomplete, shall be read as

  • HP slim line s3401f updated

I am wanting to upgrade the video card in this machine and I'm not sure about some things. First off I put my model number in and got several different video cards. My first question is, what would be the best video update map without having to buy a new power supply? Secondly, I just upgraded to 4 GB of RAM and after looking at my case, it seems that I might need a video card "special size ', is - it true? And finally say that I did not buy a new power supply which would be the best route "cost wise" to go to get a new PSU and video card. I am currently studying full-time and a budget to please let me know the best route to go, I'd do it honestly prefer to get a decent upgrade without having to replace my video card, but at the same time I still want to know my savvy cost options. Thank you!

The s3401f unit comes with the onboard graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE and uses up to 256 MB memory system.

It has PCI Express x 16 slot on the motherboard for the update of video card. In addition, the system comes with power supply 160W.

You can install all the video cards low profile as the GeForce 8500 GT 512 MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x 16. I wouldn't recommend not high-end.

In addition, this power supply is different form factor. I'm not sure of the availability of this update.

  • The use of recovery of product with external devices?

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite and it is that I wanted to re - format my windows XP. But I realized that my CD Player no longer works so I decided to put my external CD burner on my pc.

When the laptop is turned on, the CD is well recognized from this source. But now, my problem is that I can't find a way to boot the CD in the external drive (USB-Boot).

How can I do? Or someone has a better solution for me to format my laptop because the internal CD player does not work? (I already tried in BIOS for external devices as the first boot device, does not :-()

Unfortunately the guy... I have bad news for you.
Boot from the external USB CD/DVD drive is not possible. BIOS do not support this feature.

If you need to boot from the CD, you will need to purchase a new, compatible internal CD/DVD drive and supported.

Note that not all CD/DVD slim line drives are supported because different master/slave/c-salt settings.
Usually, the user manual should provide information on the supported CD/DVD burner.
If this isn't the case, then ask the maintainer authorized Toshiba and a compatible player.

  • CD/DVD-compatible players for Satellite P10

Punctual, after the end of the warranty of my Satellite P10 831, seems my dvd writer (Pioneer DVD - RW DVR-K12D) to have at the end of his days.

During the warranty, they have changed the drive 1 or 2 times, because of the same fault, after awhile, he could not read its own burned dvd. I tried several different blank DVD + and - (R or RW), they spelled correctly (can be read by other readers) but my burner does nothing with them.
Toshiba and Pioneer have no updates of the firmware to fix this problem, so there is only one option that remains for me, a new record.

Is each compatible slim-line DVD burner for me (with change of the façade) or can I use only a limited number of readers? In the latter case, which?

    Thanks for the replies

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

In principle, any optical drive the same form factor will fit in your laptop, but you will need to make sure you select the one that has the same features of connectivity that you current drive.

In general, the reader can be master, slave, or Cable Select and it is normally defined by the manufacturer on the slim laptop drives.

Try to use a disk with the wrong setting will result in an error in the IDE.

Unfortunately, most internet retailers don't document the parameter for the readers they sell so you may as well get an ASP, even if it may cost much more.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro M70, Possible replace the DVD - RW drive?

I thought that in the future come lightscribe Slim DVD - RW. Is it possible to remove the build - in the disc that came with the computer, with a slim-line DVD - RW. I think the connection, it is standard on all readers optical slim for laptops, or is it IDE/SATA or something like that?

    Hi whc

Physically, it is possible to remove all parts of the laptop. On your device should not be a problem at all. The problem is the compatibility of the player.

Each car will not work (can not recognized correctly) on each laptop Toshiba and, in my opinion, you should check the compatibility of the player by the service partner before buying one of them. Your unit is a mobile most recent with fantastic super multi DL drive. As James said, wait and you'll see if Toshiba will be those and also compatible drivers for your device.

Do you know if I can replace the drive for a DVD burner? And if yes - which model?

    Hi Piotr,

You can replace your new CD burner with vurtually any DVD burner that is the same physical size, but you should make sure that the new Recorder has a set-up similar to your current drive configuration.

In general, the reader will be configured as Master, Slave and Cable Select (Csel), by the manufacturer and must match the configuration of your current player. One of the tools of Nero will show you the current drive configuration.

Unfortunately, most retailers do not show configuration and with slim-line readers, there is no DIP switch that allows you to change it.

    Kind regards

  • FH971AA wireless card compatibility

I have installed in my HP DC7900 SFF FH971AA wireless card that works very well.

I think I have the same kind of card for HP DC5750 Microtour my wife.

    Is it compatible?

    It should work fine.

    The dc5750 also has a location PCIe x 1.

The specifications indicate it is compatible with all the form factor of the PC, and that it also comes with a slim-line mounting bracket, you'll probably need to install.

You first need to remove the support that adapts the format microtour and CMT PC form factor of.

  • my monitor plug broken off on s5703w slimline motherboard, anyway to fix this?

Hello, my monitor plug broken off the turntable on the computer. It's a pavillion s5703w computer.  I don't see a way to fix this without having to replace the Board of Directors, which consist of the entire computer.  Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello:

Yes, there are... Get a good video adapter.

For your video card, you must use a map of low profile with a slim-line mounting bracket, who works within the constraints of your 220W P/S.

It should work just fine.  You will need to remove the regular profile card comes with and replace by the low-profile support included in the box.

This card comes with an HDMI port output, which means that you may lose your onboard video after that you install.

If this occurs, restart the PC after installing the card and press the F10 key to access the BIOS.

Find the onboard audio setting. It will have the value Auto or disabled. Change the setting to Enabled here and press the F10 key to save the setting, and again, when you go out (save the settings and exit).

When you restart the PC, integrated audio system needs to be restored.
