• Since the update, I can't open a JPEG file: "Could not complete your request because the file was not found."

  My subscription to creative cloud updated Photoshop the other day. My iMac is running 10.8.5. Ever since this update, I can't open a JPEG file and get a message indicating "could not complete your request because the file was not found." I'm sure it's related to the update, but how can I cancel it and get things to normal?  (do not include your email)

• What does "Could not complete your request because that Brendan is a fool"?

  I got this dialog box message "Could not complete your request because Brendan is a fool" when you try to load a png file. The only way I could open it was with GIMP!

  Anyone know what this means?

  I would have uploaded an image, but this feature does not work on Chrome/Mac.

  On a side note: I worked many years in the sector of software products and I am surprised that such a non-professional message could have in the product. This makes me think that the in-house development process is out of control. Not cool!

  Yesterday, I turned on the computer and wanted to work with files NEF (RAW) image. After that I clicked on the file, it should open Camera raw from Photoshop CS6 as ussually, but I had this strange WARNING "Could not complete your request because of a program error".

  It's strange, since the last time I worked with Photoshop, everything was fine. I have not installed anything new, nothing change... all of a sudden this came up to the top.

  I have enough space on my computer, all the latest drivers and the latest camera raw and regularly updated everything.

  The files are not corrupted since I also tried with the old files which, in the past, worked normal and also with a few new files. That's the problem with all the files. JPG works normal in Photoshop and I can even export RAW from LR to CS6 and open Photoshop. But not in camera raw, in the General window.

  No idea what should be wrong?

  Maybe this will help someone.

  In one of the latest entries of Camera Raw, I saved a preset of a few parameters (parameters of export in XML format). These parameters have been updated with the xml format in the subdirectory camera raw. And what makes something for CR faild to load after that.

  The answer to your question depends entirely on what camera Canon photo come from your CR2 files.

  CR2 is the file used by Canon Camera Raw owner format. CR2 files are different for each camera model which is Canon. As a result, Adobe has update the mounting bracket in the Camera Raw plugin whenever camera manufacturers release a new model of camera.

  Different versions of Camera Raw are supported by different versions of Photoshop.

  It is likely that your plugin needs version of Photoshop Camera Raw updated via help > updates.

  Photoshop CC 2015 is not compatible on Mac OS 10.7.5, however if you only use the version of Photoshop CC, then you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop back to default values.

  "To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

  I did a project on Photoshop cc and registered as a .psd file. I could open and save it completely normal until my Photoshop has crashed. I had not all the files open when it crashed, but since the crash, it is impossible to open my project. Whenever I try to open the error 'Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document' pop-up.

  However, my other .psd files open without problem.

  I tried to change the file to a file .png and .tiff without resolution file. I also tried to use psd files recovery software, but the same error 'not a photoshop document valid'.

  With version 2015.1, I ran into problems of handling certain types of files Photoshop used to be able to open.

  When I try, I get an error message: could not complete your request because of a disk error.

  So since the last update to the new user interface, I was not able to reframe my documents (patterns of web page) without getting the error "Could not complete your request because the file is not found" - the file is clearly there and can be saved, and I can restart photoshop and open it again without any problem, but still suffer the problem of harvest tool.
