HP split 13 Convertible Tablet PC laptop

I have 4 GB of RAM in the original purchase.   Is it possible to increase this, say 8 GB of RAM, and if so where to buy extra of RAM memory

Thank you

Mike

Unfortunately the answer is no.

The amount of memory installed is something you chose when you were configuring it to buy.

  • Fact my tablet / computer laptop support WiDi?

    Hello

I just bought a new laptop / Tablet:

    PC HP Split 13-m100la x 2 (E7H88LA). *

I bought the tablet in South America (particularly here in Chile)

However, I'm confused.  I am not sure whether or not it supports WiDi.

I read similar tech specs on similar HP Split 2 x supporting it.

When starting my laptop with Windows 8.1 (Yes. I've updated as soon as I have it), I see an icon "Intel WiDi Remote."

This would mean that it supports? good or bad?

The problem is that I click on it.  Then I try to extend the screen, but I never see an option to find the SSID name with the WiDi receiver.

More information on the wireless device there: "RT3290 of Ralink 802.11bgn wireless adapter.

I'm really confused if this tablet certainly isn't compatible WiDi or it's a driver problem.

Please help and delete this info for me.

    I would be very grateful.

    Why have it there?

    It uses one

    Another thing.

Subsequently he post sets out to download the Ralink driver like the one I have on my laptop.

"I found a link to the Ralink driver. Click on the link and update the driver. If this does not resolve the problem, please let me know and I'll be happy to discuss the matter further.

I tried to restart the phone several times, but the issue continues to occur. Also, when I try to check out the new updates, that there no more than to download, it is not even download.

You probably have two very different questions here - HP upgrades and Windows updates.

On the first, if you are past this PC to an earlier version of Windows, he probably still has the old version of HP Support Assistant on her.  That being the case, you must use this link to download and install the latest version: HP Support Assistant. HP® Official Site

Regarding the updates of Windows, the birthday is deployment in the world right now!  This will slow down the MS servers to a crawl.  I wouldn't worry Windows updates for a day or two.

If you still aren't getting them within a few days, try to reset Windows Update: Windows Update - reset Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

  • Satellite L670-12J - need to install the tablet on laptop buttons

    Hello

I have the problem "tablet buttons are not installed on this computer.
I have connected a drawing tablet, but cannot access the settings of the Tablet because of this.

I don't know which driver should I install, can someone help me please?

    Thank you.

To be honest, I think that this isn t Toshiba related issue.

I mean the laptop satellite L670-12J seems to work fine and you have only a problem with the installation of a 3rd party drawing device.

In my opinion, you should check the support page of the tablet manufacturer how to get this working of the unit.

Maybe, you need to install some software/driver that is provided by the developer of the Tablet?

    Check it!

Hi @mikjben, welcome to the Forums of HP. I understand that your Windows button remains lit when detached, even in mode "Eve".

Try the configuration in hibernation, to see if the button turns off then: Manage the power (Windows 8) Options

If this is not the case, go through power options and see if there is a specific entry for the Windows button. Let me know what you come up with.

  • Adobe Muse Tablet Design laptop display on PC - HOW to FIX?

I created a few sites that have all 3 built (desktop, Tablet, phone) design platforms and they all work well, but there is a question that I need help. On laptops, sites appear in the design of the tablet. I have read other discussions of the forum on this, monitoring of some pointers on how to solve this problem, chatted with Support Adobe, just rebooted the computer and downloaded sites again, and nothing seems to work. Does anyone know of a surefire way to fix this from happening on laptops? I also understand that laptops with touch screen capabilities are those mainly affected by this bug.

    Help!

This version includes the fix for the redirect, I think that should solve the problem.

If this isn't the case, then please specify the url of the site with portable touch screen.

    Thank you

  • tx1308nr tablet PC laptop

    Hi guys

I bought a computer laptop tx1308nr on ebay. laptop did not come with a battery, so I had to buy it different seller. Anyway, battery worked when the first is about 15 days. I was working on and off battery and I didn't watch the carfuly levels. Now the battery is dead and I see that this laptop is not charging the battery.

Before I am looking for new battery options I was wondering if there is something that I can check on the laptop. Like to check if the laptop is charging? I have the multimeter and I can check the plug of the battery. but I don't know what to look for. Y at - there a way or a document that could show me what to look for.

For clearify my main question; I want to know if the laptop can charge the battery.

    Thank you

For the battery that you already have in Notepad, you can run the test of the battery in the bios. You can also read this:

  • Turn off the backlight of Split X 2 Tablet Windows Logo key

When you use the computer in tablet mode, the "home" button for Windows logo on the bottom of the frame lights up bright white. Is there a way to turn this light off? At night, it's blatant and annoying.

I found a solution. It's a little dramatic, but it is effective.

I downloaded the service manual for the system see if I could identify the material associated with the button. It seems that the 'button' appearance is actually only a part of the touchscreen table. The "Backlight" is a completely independent piece of equipment. On page 63 of the manual, the component is called the 'Home LED Board'.

To get a better idea of what looks like this 'advice', I used the number of terms of reference to find the part on ebay:

I have concluded that the simplest action plan would be to simply shut off the power to this Commission. I removed the two screws on the base of the Tablet, then removed the two screws. Use a spudger, I coaxed the back cover of the case open to expose the circuits below. I don't have to remove the cover. There, I could see a small black cable.

I used very narrow beaks pliers to disconnect the cable.

I tightened the lid back and replaced the screws and covers.

Voila! The backlight of the 'home' button is now disabled and the button itself is still working and still causes haptic. It is a reversible hardware change as the cable can just be reconnected if necessary. For the most part, I can't the need for this blatant backlight, in any case.

I hope this helps someone else out there!

  • It's going to be a Latitude XT4 or other laptop / tablet PC convertible?

I am a maniac of the computer laptop convertible tablet/PC where the screen can rotate and fold into the keyboard (i.e. the type of series Latitude XT).  I don't like the services currently offered by Dell that apparently replace the XT3.

    My future computer convertible to replace my XT3 once he falls down after the warranty is up must have the following characteristics;

    • The keyboard stick point as the XT3, I hate the touch keys.
    • Same type convertible; screen swivels and folds on the keyboard for mode Tablet as the XT3 or keyboard is removable like the Compaq TC1100 or Lenovo Thinkpad Helix.  I also have a Fujitisu Lifebook P1630 and U820 I like.  The P1630s and the U820 are my UMPC to travel in the short term.
    • 13 '' or small screen.

I hope someone from Dell of engineering and marketing is reading.  If nothing comparable to the XT3 is available from Dell, when I'm ready to buy again I'll probably go to Lenovo as the manufacturer of my laptop / tablet convertible PC primary.

    Hi LouisCyphre,

Dell Announces never advance, what new innovations they release. All that we can do is wait and see what they release sales.

  • Why has my connection AirPort Extreme recently stopped with my Tablet Android and Windows 7 laptop, but connects very well with all Apple devices?

Why has my connection AirPort Extreme recently stopped with my Tablet Android and Windows 7 laptop, but connects very well with all Apple devices?

What exact model of AirPort Extreme do you have? Either have your tablet or laptop Win7 been updated recently? They were both able to connect before and not now OR they were never able to connect? Can the laptop Win7 access Internet when connected by Ethernet? One of these devices have problems connecting to other networks Wi - Fi?

  • Could someone tell me what a Tablet does or does not do compared to a laptop?

I can buy a Tablet rather than a laptop. I don't know anything on the shelves. I now have an office. So before talking about sales REPS can / will anyone share with me the difference of tablets and laptops and current problems that are compressed affectting consumers if there is, and if so what is a problem? If I would have known about the problems so far had with Vista, I would not have used it. I was a newbie to computers and heard and discovered later that Vista has problems common among users. Thank you.

I'm not one that suits to answer your questions as I had only one tablet for a short period.

That being said right from the start, I discovered the following problems/features/limitations:

Some tablets to connect WiFi with only an encryption scheme limited (SECURITY), in order to check which will accept your home router (even with the school, etc. everywhere where you will use it more.)

Most of the tablets (Android) are not easily expandable to its latest OS versions, and if you are unable to update to OS, some of your applications may not work under a more recent version.

Some tablets can extend the 'memory' via a microSD card, but restrict its use to store music, photos, or other data only, but NOT applications. To release the 'main' memory in tablet, you need a file manager application is uSD for the applications card trick more.

Not all bluetooth keyboards will pair properly.

Be extremely careful when charging battery connector is easily damaged.

Do not leave your battery of the Tablet less than 15% if LiOn type (most are now).

You cannot connect all USB options for Tablet using the port of uUSB (it is designed as a 'slave' and no master/host to allow USB connectivity) (also reason you would use a Bluetooth keyboard).

You can transfer them to your Tablet using a laptop or desktop (windows) by using uUSB to the USB cable or Bluetooth.

Even with all the restrictions, the tablets are very useful if you understand their niche.

I use mine more everyday to: check email, watch movies (downloaded), surf the web, read books, listen to music, play games.

I have a 15 "laptop that I could use to do all these, but tablet is lighter, battery lasts longer, is smaller and easier to carry (fits almost anywhere).

Most of the users in trouble with a Tablet by installing the latest version of the OS (Android) and find that some things won't work anymore and to recover from it, do a cover of the plant. This means that if their data has not been saved on the cloud or a lost laptop/desktop...it's. Good news is that if you bought apps through GooglePlay, they will be charging. I'm not sure of the Amazon App store apps.

There are Windows tablets out there who have most of the features of a laptop and the mobility of a tablet.

These you can usually update and patch as needed (Windows), but drivers are not available, but for the most recent version of the OS, so you should check with the manufacturer's website.

    Kind regards

    Louis

  • Problem with laptop 2 in 1 look at a site muse as tablet version

    Hello!

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem, if it is posible? My client has a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 computer laptop and the Web site I created in shows Muse it the tablet version, not the desktop version.

    Thank you!

It actually has nothing to do with what you set in the Muse.

Muse determines whether to load the computer desktop, tablet or phone based on the smallest dimension of the screen (horizontally or), and if the device supports multi touch. The size of the screen is measured in the browser "reference pixel" (the size of the screen returned by the browser, about 96ppi) and not the 200 + ppi the latest ultra high resolution poster.

A device with a reference 960 pixels minimum screen size or less that has a multi touch screen is classified in tablet form (read iPad standard or smaller).

A device with a screen size minimum of pixel reference 415 or less is classified as a phone (everything except the biggest phablets).

A Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series 2-in-1 laptop has a display of 1920 x 1080 in terms physical pixels and a multi touch screen, so it should generally be classified in office.

At least two different things could cause the tablet to load:

    (1) if the scaling of Windows display, is something else that 100%, then the dimensions of the screen reference pixel will be something different 1920 x 1080. For example, if the customer has display scaling set to 150%, so everything is a little bigger, then the actual size of the screen will be less and the actual height will be less than 960 so it would be classified as a tablet.

    (2) Windows 10 reports unexpected for the dimensions of the display values when the display scale is equal to or greater than 200%. We are still working on a solution for this. It seems likely to be the situation in this case and when this happens usually the pages loading, rather than office phone, but I am here just in case this site has no updates phone (because if there is no available phone presentation of the Tablet would be the load).

For what is sensitive, that adobe announced support for the delicate design is under construction at the Conference from Adobe MAX in early October. The current beta versions include support for the delicate design. However, sensitive may not be a remedy for this situation. With reagent only design you for a width of the screen with much less thought to the device used by a visitor to the site. As the overlap between tablets and laptops and tablets and phones continues to fade, you're pretty much going to always have to design to reach all screen sizes and there will always be a group with between peripheral who feels that your design is "too compressed" or 'too much office' or 'too much phone' for any device they use.

FOR INFO. Adobe Muse beta program is open to all active subscribers to Muse (via a subscription to creative cloud) that can accept the terms of the non-disclosure agreement. You can join by visiting http://museprerelease.com
