  I need to update my RAM on my HP Touchsmart laptop 14-b109wm.  I'm on a virtual OS on my laptop via Hyper-V. In doing so, I'm running out of RAM available. I find myself trying constantly to adjust the amount of RAM in my virtual Session. I think that the ultimate solution is to upgrade the RAM.

  It's your product user guide. Here is your product specifications.  It's your place of originprodut.

  You can upgrade up to 8 GB maximum. There are 2 slots available to customers & you can buy an identical plus 4 GB of RAM to upgrade both can act as configuration double track for better performance.

  Regarding the frequency of the RAM, the user guide gives no reliable information for Celeron processors. In order to better you find system through BIOS setup Diagnostics soon after off the laptop.

  See Page 66 Chapter 5 removal and replacement of the procedures of the user guide & you can see that, for installation of memory you need to remove the motherboard of the system. It's better to give you the nearest service center HP for the upgrade because they have all the necessary tools.

  Hi, I have a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n225nr Notebook PC, which is optimal for workloads but (A10 2.10 GHz AMD quad-core processor, came with 8 GB of ram and 750 GB HARD drive), however, recently tried to make a few games but this laptop has an intgrated GPU. I read that the upgrade of RAM will do not much but I ordered a second card of 8 GB of ram, because I want to increase the framerate by every single FPS I can ge and I'm coming soon, so I'll have 16 GB of RAM and the fact he'll be dual channel is a more. I have also read that by upgrading the RAM you can upgrade the amount of ram used by your integrated gpu because there will be more RAM available for use. I don't know if by upgradinng the RAM VRAM happen automatically or if I'll be able to do it manually, I read that you can do it via the BIOS, I don't know for shure if possible.

  So, is it possible to increase the fraction of my RAM than my integrated graphics card uses?, if yes, how?

  If it is not possible to what can do to increase my FPS on the game?, because I can't change a dedicated GPU because it's a laptop.

  According to the specifications of your computer, to graph total 4195 MB memory is the maximum that can be used. Regardless of the amount of dedicated, is all that can be used as memory dedicated. As a general rule, Windows controls the amount of memory used by the video card. • Envy Touchsmart laptops, 15: need to reinstall the fingerprint reader driver

  I accidentally deleted the driver for fingerprint reader, and now I can't use it.  I looked to see if there is an article of biometric device in the list of HW devices and there is no.  I have recovery drive if it would help to get it working again.

  I have a HP Touchsmart TX2-1275dx 2 years. About 2 months ago the laptop has suddenly stopped working.

  When I turned off and restart, lots of lights illuminate the laptop but the screen remains black.

  I tried to reset the battery unplug for 2 min then re - insert.

  No change.

  Just see a black screen. From all of the lights on the laptop. The caps lock and caps lock Num-led will Flash.

  Help, please!

  After calling the HP service, I have been informed that the CAPLOCK and NUMLOCK blinks once indicates that the CPU has failed. Apparently, HP expects multiple failures on startup and thoughtfully provided flashing different codes for each!

  In any case HP wanted me to pay about $350 for this problem. I was told that the motherboard will be replaced by "" parts of HP. Original HP on my laptop parts failed in two years, so it's really not very reassuring.

  Having a failure of CPU on a laptop of 2 year, is like the engine completely default on a 4 year old car.

  Judging my the volume of messages here in this forum, YouTube, and in other places, this indicates that it is a problem of design on HP laptops.

  This is my third laptop of HP. The first died for different reasons, but at least lasted 4 years.

  After this experience I will never buy another HP product again.

  For those who are facing this problem, see repair services available in EBAY. Some of them have very good users. I'll send my laptop in one of these shops. Less than $100, it's worth a last before ditching of this laptop. I'll post here again if I get my work laptop.

  HP should be ashamed to come out such a poor quality product.

  Yes-HARD drive is the hard disk. No way to know, without more testing, if it's hdd or other material causing a no don't start machine. Try to remove to see if you get any further as I mentioned above.

  I have a Hp Pavilion Touchsmart Pc e010nr 10 (this is a mini) well it was thrown to the ground by my 2 years and when I went to turn it on, it says please install an operating system on your hard drive, then it allows me to go to diagnostics of material where it gives me a memory test option an option to check hard disk. When I selesct the memory check option it passes check memory and when I select the disc hard checkit nsays its not installed. So my question is how do I remove the back cover so I can make sure that the hard drive is secure? His portable regulars not like who r easy to remove the hard drive. Can someone help me please w one link or a video or instructions on how to remove the rear handle to check if my hard drive did not have kocked loose when it was launched? Thank you very much

  Unfortunately, the HARD drive is not the best thing to do in your model in particular (you need to remove the top cover and the Assembly of the speaker), however the procedure is detailed from Page 52 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

• ENVY of HP TouchSmart laptop 15: local disk D is not accessible

  I get this message when I access to 'My PC' and click on Local drive D: "local disk D is not accessible. The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable. »

  This local disk D is partitioned with local disk C. The two units are on SSHD, 1 TB, Seagate asa series drive.

  A 24GO SSHD is also installed with 1 TB HARD drive, but the SSHD is not visible in WIN10 in 'My PC' (or, indeed, it is this local disk D?).

  During each reboot, a message appears: "fix local disk D." But the local disk D does not seek redress.

  I just finished installing WIN10 and spent the day to reinstall all printers, scanners and software (with hindsight, I shudda treated first with this corrupted local disk).

  I'm going to local disk likely damage C which has the OS WIN10 on him (I guess), if I reformat local drive D? I would like to reformat ALCO D drive while in WIN10 (not in dos prompt mode).

  My fingerprint reader has not worked in the month. It stopped working after I installed the update of the driver.

  Until I loaded WIN10, I tried to restore my inoperative SimplePass fingerprint reader by loading the newer driver for that I downloaded updates from the HP driver.

  Immediately after the installation of the driver SimplePass my laptop crashed with the BSOD on reboot.

  Each diagnostic single HP I ran in Mode BIOS says all readers and all components, everything going ON.

  What is happening with SimplePass driver software?

  I called Softex but no direct technical Support was available. I left a message, no one returned my call.

  I took the chance and selected the option "Format". The 'quick format' restored the local drive D.
