HP w2007v-hp pavilion slimline: upgrade to windows 10

Hi all

I just wanted to know how I can go from win7 to win 10 before the free offer runs out. I use an hp pavilion slimline with a display of hp w2007v.

When I go into the audit tool win 10 pc says:

NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 - the manufacturer of the screen did not your display compatible with windows 10. Check with the manufacturer support.

can anyone advise me on what to do? It's easy to download a driver or hardware do I need?

Thanks in advance

David

My Pavilion dv6 upgraded to windows 10 what happened to my external screen does not

    Hi @Jake08,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and questions with external screen works not properly. You can try this without the connected external monitor.

In Device Manager, click the arrow next to display adapters to expand this category
Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
Select search automatically for updated driver software.

The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • Pavilion Slimline s5780t: compatibility Windows 10

    Hello

I have a friend with the model listed above. It was recently upgraded to Windows 10 (translation: Microsoft forced the upgrade on him without his consent). His PC was working fine before the upgrade, but since then, he has been presenting all kinds of different problems.

Before you start to look at the details, I just wanted to know if this model of PC is compatible with Windows 10 in the first place. I came across the site of HP in the hope of finding this 'picture' of the models tested, but have not been able to find it anywhere.

Could someone be tell me if the s5780t flag has been tested with Windows 10 or direct me to where I might find myself?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello:

HP does not support this model for W10, and there is no W10 driver for it on the support page.

Here is the link for the product... it's 2011, which is older that the deadline for what tested HP of the PC for the W10.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-PC-series/5035352/model/5060992/document/c02682452#AbT0

Here is the link to HP on compatibility with W10...

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/document/c04731185

This PC must be able to run W10 OK on the basic material.  I have two HP business class PC with Sandy Bridge CPUs and chipsets, and they work fine.  Audio different chips well (Realtek).

Now if this model has a tuner TV and other optional devices, those who can not work.

The Beats Audio may not work... However, try this driver W10.  It works on many HP PC with audio IDT bat.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

  • Pavilion Slimline: upgrade to MS10

I upgraded to MS10 and now my graphics (JUA190) does not work.  I was told that HP does not support the new driver to get my card to work.  I bought this computer before 2013.  This HP can be upgraded to accept the new adapter?  Currently, my Manager shows the basic graphics card.  How to add or change this, if I can.

    Thanks for providing the info.

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not.

HP does not provide more recent than Win7 for your PC drivers, so there is no updated HP driver to fix the problem.

Here is the link to the page of the drivers for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-Slimline-s5500-Desktop-PC-series/4162194/model/4206331

To see the drivers for Win7, click change and select Win7 in the menu drop-down.

You MIGHT be able to install the video drivers Win7 using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/

  • HP pavilion 6910us: upgrading to windows 7, or even 10

Hello everyone. I have a hp pavilion 6910us, who finally died on me. The drive decided to die on me. I'm planning on upgrading to windows 7, but can't search for drivers for it. I know that this laptop will be compatible because it has 4 GB of ram (4 GB but 1 GB is used for video) and 2.0 GHz processor, which is enough for windows 7. I just need a little help to find drivers for 7.

Also, is it an update of the bios that I need to install it for 7? This computer will be compatiable with 10? are there drivers for 10?

    Hello

    No, ONLY drivers for Vista:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv6000-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/3725196/model/3740554/drivers

But many users successfully upgraded to Windows 7, I don't know about Windows 10.

After I installed Windows 7, you must run Windows 7 updates several times, and he will find drivers for you. In the end, the machine can miss one or two, please post back and our friends will help you.

    Kind regards.

  • s5510f HP Pavilion Slimline running MS Windows 7 Premium Edition, graphics card options?

Before I disassemble my pc, I am able to add a new graphics card with HDMI output? I would use my plasma HD tv as a monitor with my wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. There is no keyboards made for my model of 'smart tv', and tab through the menu alphabet with an arrow on the remote TV is very annoying. Thank you, BAK333

    BAK333, welcome to the forum.

While the Slimline models are not intended to be upgraded, it can be done. Here's a great thread by Erico that should help you:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/can-I-upgrade-the-Pavilion-slimline-180-Watt-PSU-to-a-300-Watt/m-p/67620/highlight/true#M6343

The reason why this thread is relevant is that most likely, you will need to upgrade the PSU also.  Most of the cards that are capable of providing the type of tasks you want to do will require a card with more power that the existing PSU can run correctly.

When I upgrade to windows 10 that he almost finished then it gives me this error message "0xC1900101 - ox40017 installation has failed during the SECOND_BOOT with an error during the BOOT operation" what should I upgrade to be compatible windows 10?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message want to upgrade your HP Win7 desktop PC to Win10 and wanted to help.

You think about the amount of work that you want to post just to run Win10.  Seriously.  Old machine Win7 tend to come in two flavors when it comes to upgrading Win10 - really easy and really difficult.  I have an older HP DV6 that falls into the second category - as your machine.

To upgrade the really tough machines, you must be willing to do three things:
    (1) make a full image backup on external drive or high-capacity USB key
    (2) modify the system reserved hard disk partitioning scheme
    (3) uses a very different approach and maybe more than one, that the use of Windows Update to do the upgrade.

1: the backup image.  This is VITAL, because the machine is most likely failure of the upgrade, and when that happens, you will learn that GoBack to Win10 function is NOT reliable, and leaving you with a machine corrupted which will require the factory reset and lose all that on it, to get it working again.

You can avoid this by making an image backup to an external hard drive or a USB drive using Macrium reflect (MR), which provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    2. reserved resizing system: there is a small partition on the HDD with Win7 preinstalled machines known as system reserved.  It is something known as the boot loader code.  There is 100 MB format: all that is necessary for Win7.  But Win10 needs 350 MB and, in some cases, is NOT able to resize it on its own.  IF this happens, you must manually use a partitioning tool to resize it yourself.

    3. using a different approach: Windows Update is easier, but less reliable, how to make the upgrade to Win10.  A much better and more reliable way is to use Microsoft Media creation tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10 choose the upgrade this option now PC.

After all this, you know that MS install drivers with only the most basic features.  Given that HP does not have drivers for your PC Win10, this limited functionality is the best you're going to get.  HP does not actively write new drivers from Win10 for the old PC Win7.  To keep all the features of your PC, your best shot is NOT to upgrade to Win10.

    Good luck

  • 15PC Notebook Pavilion 15: upgrade to windows 10

When you try to upgrade to windows 10, my 25 character product key comes up as invalid.

This machine has never been repaired or updated since purchase in 2014.

Is it possible to assign a different product key that IS recognized as legitimate by windows 10?

I applied the automatic download of microsoft upgrade to Windows 10 about 4 - 5 times and every time it reported "unable to install files.

There is nothing wrong with our internet connection, so I tried to install it from the DVD and got the routine "invalid key productkey/decreased demand."

A representative of HP since called me to explain why the upgrade is not to proceed and sends a disk via postal mail to correct the problem.

I was very impressed by his coutesy and his true interest in my problem.

I don't have the same answer when dealing with HP service centers in the past.

  • HP Pavilion dv6700: upgrade to Windows 10 Failed 0xC1900101 - 0 x 30018

This laptop originally supplied with Windows Vista. I've updated years ago to Windows 7. Last night, I tried to upgrade to Windows 10. The upgrade hung up on 32 percent install for hours. I rebooted and got the following error code:

    0xC1900101 - 0 x 30018 phase FIRST_BOOT failed with error while running SYSPREP

I'm starting to think that the laptop will not be able to upgrade. It has been installed the drivers at the time. Microsoft says Windows compatible 10 PC. It seems not to be at the moment.

Problem solved. Reinstall all the drivers from the HP Web site. Some worked and others not. I remember 2 update drivers. The KEYBOARD shortcut and chipset drivers updated. I also removed the Windows 7 desktop gadgets and sticky notes. The installation of Windows 10 then completed successfully.

OEM operating system installation disks are not the same as the operating system retail installation discs. Sometimes, the OEM drives are built with differnet pilots and other tips for brands and models of PC OEM.
