  • Edge 530: Screen black when turn

I just got a 530 Edge. The screen is black when I turn on. The solution is to press and hold the Fn + F1 keys. It takes me to the configuration. When out to configure the machine starts normally. Anyone who knows how to fix this?

    No, did not help

I actually describe the bad workaround solution: I don't have to press Fn + F1. Simply start the machine twice.

On the first time: the fan starts and the red light comes on, but the screen is completely black (no backlight, no noise, nothing)

    Off: Stops immediately

On the second time: starts normally

  • Random computer screen Black-out / turn off.

    Hello

first is my laptop: HP Pavilion dv6-6160se Entertainment Notebook

    the problem now

A few days ago my laptop screen started off sudden shutting down/turn black (no lights at all). This was happening when using the laptop randomly. The screen had no lights, and if I use a flashlight on it there is nothing. like his turned to the wide completelly.

Before that happens. THS behavior varies. Sometimes, she Shimmers from my office to a black screen then back on and sometimes not. Most of the time screen replaced by a green of radom (for most) and then goes black / shuts down.

NOTE: The laptop keeps runing, I can hear the videos playing then it is probably not a chip gpu or problem gpu, music and games.

I searched on the web for all sorts of reasons this could happen and tried a few fixes.

Here's what I've tried and all or the details I could accumulate in Cup for days:

    1. If the screen flickers, turns off and then turns on I get a message that gpu drivers stopped working and valued (on amd and intel).

    2. If the screen turns off, on the rare occasions if you close the lid of the laptop and leave the laptop to go to sleep, when to wake up to the screen works again (noticeable because of the screen moving)

    3. I tried to install 4 different drivers, all with clear install. (did not work)

    4. I tried to recover the system with the restore point. (did not work)

    5. I tried to turn down the brightness of the screen. (did not work)

    6 tried this trick:

    1. Turn off the laptop
    2. Remove the battery
    3. Hold the power buttong for 30-45 seconds
    4. Plug the charger (do not put the battery in)
    5. Turn on the laptop and see if it works.

    Very sensitive details:

    7. given that on rare patches requires to move the lid I tried to shake the screen a little or by slightly pushing from different directions. Actually, this does the trick and back lights up the screen (I have right now typing this after using this 'trick')

So, with this as a hint, there are a few things that I have in mind but I don't know and need help because I am not a technician.

    (a) there is a LCD cable and when I hit a small vibration upped it and ends in a black screen.

    (b) I have read that if you use a flashlight and you can't see your desktop he means that it is a bad converter.

    (c) the inverter can cause a cabe lose instead of the LCD?

It's all the comments that I could give you that I remember now.

Currecntly the screen seems ok (this is the angle of sure there once I moved it and I would aprecciate quick response until it goes black again so maybe)

EDIT: Tried to play a game for a few minutes and I got the black screen again. Closed the lid and the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' then opened it and it worked. Just for the records.

EDIT #2: Just tried to play a game again. got the blackscreen, shaked the screen a little bit and it worked, but for the 1st time that I get the message "the demand has been blocked access to the graphics hardware," it may be it's the GPU after all or drivers maybe?

EDIT #3: Tried to replay a game and it seems to trigger the problem. (I am currently under the laptop with only drivers intel installed)

    Thanks in advance

    Sincerely,

    NTAS

    Hi @Ntas

I read in your post and it seems there are two possibilities, and I noticed that you have already tried several things that I would normally say.

I will, however some of these links post anyway for you to review, it is still possible, there may be something in one of them that have been missed or can inspire an idea of the cause. Since you mentioned that sometimes simply move the screen will cause the problem or do disappear, that seems like a loose connection, or maybe something like a pressure on one part of the screen, causing the problem.  Of course, that last part may simply mean that the display is not to his last breath, but if all goes well.

First I will give you a link for the service manual to help you control connections. Just be careful to read the sections on precautions, protect you and to prevent further damage. This manual is also useful in that it lists all compatible parts, so if the display is faulty you can use this guide to help control a compatible replacement if you choose to do so. • Screen distorted when turned on Satellite U405

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me with what to do - I bought a Satellite U405 laptop in the United States last summer (June 2008) and I used it fine until last week. When I turned on the other day, I got this on the screen - http://i34.tinypic.com/20ixjli.jpg and http://i34.tinypic.com/2j32ngx.jpg for a second opinion.

What can cause this problem and how can I solve this problem?

    Hello!

It seems that the internal screen is broken and needs to be replaced.

You can fix that if you replace the screen by yourself or you go to an authorized service provider. Exchange of the screen is a little tricky and you need very careful. Also a lot of screws must be removed, so this should be done to professional people.

I recommend you contact an authorized service provider that you can find on the Toshiba site. They will help you.

    Good bye

    Hello
I have a toshiba A100, Go 7600 Gpu, just bought there is two weeks and im very pleased with the quality and performance far :), just noticed one thing today, the room was turned off and the laptop turns off with the screen in open position, I leave it open normally when at home, I noticed that the screen flashes as fixed every 1 min in what appears to be an interval of time with or without AC connected, not a flash very bright but not easy to notice, but I'm sure the flash, so my question is should I worry about this? Thanks in advance :)

    Hello

What do you mean with the screen? The LCD internal? Maybe you didn t stop the machine itself.

I also suggest you update your bios and your drivers, maybe it s just a software related issue...

  • Yoga 14 700 screen white when turned on

When I turn on the computer, I see the Lenovo logo. After that, the screen turns off but the backlight is always on. Everything on the computer still works except the screen. I tried to connect to an external monitor and a projector, but they both do not detect the computer. My model is the i7 and nvidia graphics. That this has something to do with faulty nvidia drivers?

Looks like a problem with Windows Me. In fact, it can be also a Nvidia driver problem. I would say OneKey recovery to solve the problem. To do this, hold down the key of Lenovo OneKey recovery on your computer. Here is some information about the OneKey recovery, alias Novo button button. https://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht062552

I tried different hard drives and if you start without a HARD drive there still a blank screen. I also replaced monitor, keyboard, mouse. The real kicker is that from time to time after a lot of power downs and restarts it will boot to the BIOS and load the MBR and everything will be fine. I see that no error it connects.  Any ideas would be apresiated. Thank you!

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

No registration necessary data and re - install Windows 7 might be the best option, but here are a
    few others.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer or an external hard drive enclosure, then
saving them. Do this using several methods to redundantly. Of course, a real computer
Shop or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is CTRL +.
ALT + DELETE - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is available by
repeatedly tapping F8 as you start. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC also begins the Task Manager.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all hotfix is usually a hit or miss
base. That there is no information on a black screen as there is just a blue screen
adds to the difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect.

You can try a google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these
cover a wide field of efforts.
