  • Wireless connection lost after only five minutes

    Hello

New on site, but you have a very annoying problem, here go us
I just got a 2nd hand laptop Toshiba Satellite S1800-402 and has decided to add this to my setup wireless at home (big mistake), anyway I have a router wireless 802. 11 b of mentor and my main pc connected to the router and another pc which has a mentor 802 wireless pci card. 11B. Pcmcia card from the laptop is a mentor 802.11 g card is compatiable back, so I was told by bloke in-store pc.

Just the problem I have is the pc successfully connect to internet the laptop will be fine OK, but 99% of the time I would say 5 minutes max before losing the connection and only way to get the rear connection is either reboot the laptop, or remove the pcmcia card and hope that it detects the wireless again. the wireless network is not secure on it and checked on the router page and there is no filtering or configure... I have Digital wireless home phones that I unplugged and get always the same problem.

Would be - what this model has received a wireless card already and there is a conflict.

It becomes a default really annoying that I head in fact.

Any help would be greatly appreciated no matter what other requried info I will try to help

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As much as I know this model doesn't have a WiFi card and this kind of conflict is not possible. In my opinion connection breaks are caused by software settings or false. If you make a permanent download happens the same thing?

Try to check the power consumption of your network card WIRELESS and also Idle timeout option in the router.

  • Correction of installation Photosmart Wireless with SSID of SigmaplusEOL1 problem

    Hey,.

I have a Photosmart C4780. I have set up for a little wireless printing back and it worked fine. Recently, I had to reset my router for other reasons, which forced me to set up my printer wireless again.  But I can't too. First of all, I used the Setup Assistant that has been installed on the iMac when I previously installed it.  That did not work.  Then, I just uninstalled and tried to reinstall it back. I tried to implement wireless first. When defective, I tried to set up via USB, and then wireless, which still did not work. The problem I meet is during installation in the Setup Wizard, I get 'Select unit.' My printer is connected via USB, and it appears on the list of devices. I click on "Continue" and the following window is an option that says "Set up your device for a wireless network." I check the box and click "continue." The next window is 'Select Network'. And here the problem comes in. A message appears that says "Device not connected", even if it is clearly. I even tried not to connect the printer via USB until it says "Select Device." But I get the same result. Also, when I click 'OK' to the message, window "Select network" not said no "Wi - Fi network discovered."  I can't do anything on this subject. I tried to reset the settings of the printer, and the printer for 15 seconds unpluggin wireless to reset the printer as a whole. Still having the same problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I finally thought to it! (Sorry I'm answering my own posts btw, but I want to put the solution for someone else with the problem of SigmaplusEOL1). If you have the SigmaplusEOL1 as your SSID when you print the "wireless network Test report", you have NO need to come back (I know it's a hassle for people).  To resolve this issue, follow these steps.

    (1) disconnect your printer.

    2) go to your router's IP address (such as 192.168.1.1 or whatever it is for your router).

    (3) replace the SSID of your wireless network with "SigmaplusEOL1".

    (4) for the security option for your wireless network select None (of the sort that a password is not required to access your wireless network).

    (5) Please turn your printer back and reprint "The wireless network Test report". It should say «No problem found...» »

    (6) the report shall also give an IP address of the printer (under Configuration Summary below). Type this address into your browser to go to the printer setup page.

    7) click on the 'Network' tab at the top.

    (8) under the heading "Connections" in the left pane, click "Wireless (802.11).

    9) click on "Start the Assistant" at the bottom right.

    (10) in the wizard, edit (the SSID and encryption wep or wpsk) password that you want your network to be wireless. So probably everything what he started as before you changed the SSID to SigmaplusEOL1

    11) click on 'Finish' at the end. The page will probably try to keep loading but it won't because you have changed the network settings on the printer. Just ignore that

    (12) back to the IP address of your router and change the SSID and the encryption password for everything what you change printer SSID and password.

    (13) reprint of the wireless network Test report. Admittedly, the SSID is the same as your wireless network, and everything is good.

That's all. You should be good to go now.

  • HP Laserjet 2542: Wireless connection to 2542

I'm trying to connect my deskjet 2542 to my wireless router.  The router has a WPS button, but I can't get the blue light on the printer wireless to stop blinking when I try to connect.  I press the blue wireless button on my printer for 3 sec and then press the WPS button on my router within 2 minutes.  My router is a CGN HiltonTechnologies provided by my internet provider.   The blue light continues to blink.

Then I tried to connect via the USB cord using the HP utility that I downloaded on my Mac.  This time, the assistant said that he was not able to configure my camera with a USB connection, even if the selected network is correct.

I can print from my Mac if it is wired to the printer, but not wireless.  I can't print from my phone or my ipad.

The printer was purchased a year ago and worked well with a USB and wireless.  I went for 4 months and when I got back my internet provider rebooted my service and the wireless printer has not worked since.  Also, when it worked before it was on an older operating system on my Mac.  During the period of 4 months, I've upgraded to El Capitan.  All my other wireless devices work fine.

    Hi @PEP52,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your problem, wireless.

I understand that you have had your internet service turn off while you were there, but you were not able to get your HP Deskjet 2542 all-in-One printer connected wireless again since having your internet service restarted. I would like to help with that.

You need to reconfigure the printer for the new network. Here is a document of support that can help get everything connected on the network - printer not found during Network Driver Setup (OS X).

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • HP Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one stop wireless print whenever it is turned off

My HP 4620 stop wireless print whenever it is turned off, although it is connected to the network (by the results of the test network wireless, pass & the quality of the signal is excellent).  No troubleshooting - HP Print & Scan Doctor work there is no help, I have to uninstall & reinstall the printer each time to be able to print wireless again.

I use it on/on button to turn the printer off, don't disconnect not.

Please help, or I need to return to the store, this is the third time!

I also had the same issue and after a few game it seemed to have fixed so here's what I did... Hope this helps someone else.

-My printer is connected to my wireless network.

-On my computer that I'm connected to the printer through the IP address 192.168.1.153... (Yours may vary) in a browser

    * You can find the ip address printers on the control panel of the printers by pushing the wireless button and pushing the ok option 1, it should appear with the intensity of the signal and the ip address is at the bottom.

-Once I was on the Printers page in my browser, I went to the tab network at the top.

-Then to Internet Printing Protocol section (on the left in the advanced settings)

-On my own PPI was already on, but the location was empty I put a '1' in the location box and then applied settings.

-C' is the only thing that I changed and now my printer is asleep as always, but when I print something from my iphone, mac or pc it wakes up and prints as it is supposed to!

BTW before I went to the printer via the browser. I changed layout sleep in 15 minutes via the Control Panel on the printer itself, don't know if it helped the issue or not because I still had the problem of sleep after I set the timer to 15 minutes instead of 5 min. But I solved my problem after performing the steps above!

Also note that on the one hand some ppl on here say it's a network problem or a router! This is NOT the case I never even tried these roads and I solved my problem only by changing the setting of the printer! I have not set a static ip address or something like that!  The above steps is things ONLY I touched and my problem is SOLVED!

  • E 7520 HP All - In - One Printer: turn off the power to the wireless printer

I have not printed for a few days I have not noticed if my Wi - Fi connection worked.

I tried to print wireless today and got the error message that the printer was not connected to the internet.  I tried to go wrong, but it did not help.  I checked the connection to the wireless router and put the password in.  It has not yet recognized it.  I tried to disable printing for my smart phone (I think it is called), but the screen froze on the circle showing the progress.

I tried to turn off the printer with the power button, but that no longer works.

The Wi - Fi light just keeps blinking.

How can I disable the printer may reset?  Or can you help get my printer to recognize my wireless again?

    Thank you.

    Hi Rhonda, there.

I would suggest to unplug the power cord from the printer without turning it off with the switch, it will do a reset without getting rid of all the parameters. You simply leave unplugged for about 1-2 minutes to clear out any power.

I recommend then reconnect, and doing as much as you can from the guide below:

Printer keeps no connection Wi - Fi

Good luck and let me know how it goes

  • On 16 October, lost my PC is wireless connections?

I have a Linksys Wireless G adapter and I can not find the wireless after a update can I? I've restored around October 15 and was able to connect again.  Once I power cycle my PC I lose Wireless again?  I uninstalled the Linksys device and reinstalled but still no go. An error message that Windows did not load your device because this 'Linsys' name is already in use?  I then did a full system restore to day 1 and I return my wireless connection. I then ran updates and got more than 100 before again losing connectivity.  Very frustrated.  If I knew the name of the update that caused it I would just delete it?  Any ideas out there?

    Hello

Restore the computer to 14 or 15. Visit the website of the WiFi router manufacturers and sdownload and install wireless router last drivers and firmware. This shoul help.

    May peace be with you.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 wireless problems

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer, set up my wireless network. It is connected to my Linksys E2000 wireless router (wireless, do not use the LAN cable). I print from my Win7 64 bit laptop, my iPhone / iPad (via airprint).

This configuration is used to work perfectly, and 1 day to the other, I can not connect to the printer. I think that this happened after the printer has proposed an update of the firmware. No changes have been made to firmware on my laptop or a router, without the router settings have been changed.

If I use my i-devices, no airprint printer is detected. From my laptop, I get an error indicating that a connection to the printer cannot be established.

I tried selecting the IP manually (192.168.1.120), I did a factory reset the printer and run the wizzard wireless again and finally I connected a router LAN cable direct to the printer. I managed to connect the printer to the network, the network printer diagnostics detects any flaws, but the machine is still invisible to other devices...

    Now, I'm quite stuck...

wingwalker1, is the light on the printer and a solid blue wireless? She has the same IP as before (which is the IP address if it has changed)?

When you say thayt it has not completed the wireless configuration wizard, at - he gave a specific failure message?

I want you to do a reset of network. First turn off the printer and the computer, and then unplug the power to the router for 10 seconds and plug it back. Wait for all lights to come back on the router and turn on the printer and the computer.

Go to wireless menu, reset the network defaults and restart the wireless configuration wizard.

I would like to know how it goes!

    Help?

    Hello

I would try to run a system restore to see if that helps.  If you have Norton installed, follow step 2 first on the link below.

    http://us.Norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docURL=20091112171719EN&LN=en_US

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to bring up the Windows Recovery console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press return.  When this mode is loaded up, click on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point before you deleted the driver and then proceed to the restoration.

When Windows has restarted, see if you can now connect wireless again.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Ranging from the wired wireless and vice versa

I have users who have laptops and connect to the network via a cable, and then decide to leave (as due to a meeting), so that they log off and back on the radio.  Then, at some point, they decide to reconnect.  When they do, they lose the connection to their files and lose changes and others.  I think it's normal behavior, is it?

The wireless network is natted on the cable network, so the TCP/IP addresses are different. Wired is 192.168.100.x, wireless is 192.168.10.X.

I actually found the reason, but thanks for the reply.  Additional examination of the end-user concluded she was disconnected while she had open files across the network, then re-login and turning off the wireless, again with these files open.  Then she stated that the files have been insensitive.  I think that, since our wireless is a range of different addresses, which she connects to the without wire when you are connected to the wired network, then disconnect, but when going back to the wired network, it is probably turn off the wireless before she was able to negotiate a connection on the cable network.  These valleys have a problem to connect via ethernet, while the wireless.

    Thanks again for the response.
  • Photosmart 4380 cannot be connected wireless for Mac

    Hello

I had the Photosmart C4380 for a little more than two years now. I have always used wireless in a network with multiple Macs. However, I lost the Setup wireless when switching to a new provider and a new router and have not managed to reconfigure to print wireless again. I can print without problem through the USB port.

Here's the problem: in trying to set up using the Configuration Wizard, the printer is recognized as connected via USB. However, when I check the possibility to configure the wireless connection, I get a message that I need to connect the printer via the USB port. Somehow, it does not seem to recognize that the printer is already connected via USB. I tried to use another USB cable, but that does not work either.

Strangely, the printer does not appear in Hello either.

I already tried to restore the default settings of the printer network, and allows switching on and outside wireless radio, but nothing.

I use Mac OS 10.6.5, which should have all the correct drivers built in.

I get the error message is 'to configure the network settings for the selected device, you will need to temporarily connect via the USB port. Can disconnect USB once the settings have been transferred". Problem is that it is connected, but somehow my stupid Mac does not seem to understand.

Someone knows what to do here? I'm getting desperate!

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. to connect the configuration wizard, make sure that the USB cable is disconnected.

    2. maybe you software HP DO NOT intended to be 10.6?  If so you have to get rid of it with the 'scrubber' option: If you are using

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now run a software update.

Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" driver and software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.
