Photosmart 4380 cannot be connected wireless for Mac

Hello

I had the Photosmart C4380 for a little more than two years now. I have always used wireless in a network with multiple Macs. However, I lost the Setup wireless when switching to a new provider and a new router and have not managed to reconfigure to print wireless again. I can print without problem through the USB port.

Here's the problem: in trying to set up using the Configuration Wizard, the printer is recognized as connected via USB. However, when I check the possibility to configure the wireless connection, I get a message that I need to connect the printer via the USB port. Somehow, it does not seem to recognize that the printer is already connected via USB. I tried to use another USB cable, but that does not work either.

Strangely, the printer does not appear in Hello either.

I already tried to restore the default settings of the printer network, and allows switching on and outside wireless radio, but nothing.

I use Mac OS 10.6.5, which should have all the correct drivers built in.

I get the error message is 'to configure the network settings for the selected device, you will need to temporarily connect via the USB port. Can disconnect USB once the settings have been transferred". Problem is that it is connected, but somehow my stupid Mac does not seem to understand.

Someone knows what to do here? I'm getting desperate!

Here are a few ideas:

1. to connect the configuration wizard, make sure that the USB cable is disconnected.

2. maybe you software HP DO NOT intended to be 10.6?  If so you have to get rid of it with the 'scrubber' option: If you are using

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

Restart your Mac

Now run a software update.

Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" driver and software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

Last week, I got a wireless connection between my iMac and my laserjet P1102W printer, but it was disconnected so far. I followed all the instructions on the pdf user guide, but they do not work.

    Thank you

Well, the printer seems to have lost its wireless settings. Ideally, to address this issue, you can run the installation program for the printer on a Windows PC. If this isn't an option, then proceed as follows:

    1. Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.
    2. If the printer is connected via the USB cable to your Mac, delete it.
    3. Turn the printer off.
    4. While the printer is turned off, hold down the two buttons on top of the printer.
    5. While you hold the keys, turn on the printer.
    6. Continue to hold the buttons for ten seconds.
    7. The value of Safari as the default web browser.
    8. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    9. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
    10. Click on reset printing system.
    11. Plug the USB cable from the Mac to the printer.
    12. Click on the printer on the left.
    13. On the right click on Setup, then utility, open utility printer and EWS Server.
    14. In this window, click the network tab.
    15. Click on wireless on the left.
    16. Click Activate.
    17. In the list, select the name of your network.
    18. Click on the button with the arrows.
    19. Select your type of encryption WPA/WPA2.
    20. Enter your password wireless in this window.
    21. Click on apply.
    22. If the light on the printer wireless to allume lit in blue, disconnect the USB cable.
    23. Back to Apple, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    24. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
    25. Click on reset printing system.
    26. Click the more in the lower left corner.
    27. Select your printer from the list.
    28. Click the check box next to and select your printer from the list.
    29. Click on Add.

Please let me know if you are able to print. If you are not, please tell me what has happened by following these instructions.

  • New routers cannot connect wireless for HP 3510

I have a new router and you have to reconfigure the connection Wireless for my HP 3510.  I go to the printer and the installation program and to reconfiqure and it States to connect to a USB cable which I am there my new SSID and password on my PC which is correct, and then when I go to then it fails to connect.  What should I do?

Called Technology Services, it took 2.5 hours to solve the problem.  It seems as the Deskjet 3510 series (mine is actually and 3512) has a big problem with the connection to suppliers IP router which I just got.  They did fix after taking possession of my PC, the software, re - install the software and then spending a lot of time to get an IP address for the router of unistalling.

  • Photosmart 7515: Impossible to connect wireless to Photosmart 7515

First of all, the printer worked before end of June when a patch Win7 crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system. I immediately upgraded to Windows 10; I am running anniversary of Windows Update (AU). I don't have reinstall the printer before last night. I am running Windows 10 a a full charge 18 Alienware. I am writing from this computer so I'm connected to the Internet and I'm connected wireless.

I download the updated 2016 (PS7510_1315 - 1.exe) displayed for my printer and installed it, but when it came time to connect to the printer, it didn't - do not see the printer.

I've reconfigured the printer twice and during each installation, the printer sees all networks wireless (including me), I select my network, the printer asks the password of my network and then it connects successfully to my SSID. I print the results of the wireless network Test with the bottom line of "no problem found" for the correct SSID. My computer is connected to the same SSID. On the printer, the blue wireless light is solid on and signal strength is displayed on the printer shows also strong.

I then connected to my router and updated all the connected systems. The display shows four wireless devices, one being the printer. The printer didn't show the MAC address, not a name or one IP address like the other three, then I restarted the routed with the same results. Then, I opened an OS command window and ping the IP address - failed with "request timed out" and "destination host unreachable".

So, I'm looking for help. The printer says that it is connected properly wireless with intense beep and a DHCP IP address which is also in the appropriate interval. I also tried the host name: dhcppc3 and that did not work (didn't expect really, since the INVESTIGATION period did not work but I wanted to be thorough).
    In advance, thank you!

    Nick.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a: 8500 a plug the USB to the PC and wireless for Mac

Our Officejet Pro 8500 a is connected via USB to our HP Pavilion running Windows 7. This connection works well. However, I tried to connect my iMac (OS 10.10.2) to the wireless printer with no success. If I disconnect the USB from the PC, I can connect wirelessly from my Mac. My question is: the Officejet Pro 8500 a does support multiple types of connections - one by USB and the other by wireless? If so, then I would appreciate help to understand why my Mac is not the 8500.

Other details: our wireless router is Apple Airport Extreme. The wireless connection on the printer seems to work (I can print the details of this connection). However, when I try to add the 8500 to the Mac by using add printer, the printer does not appear. (The printer is lit and shows five bars of signal strength, SSID is correct and a valid IP address).

My Mac is connected to the wireless network.

    Any suggestions?

I was able to solve the problem of the printer with ethernet connection to the router that provides network wireless for PC and Mac. Now two machines are able to access the printer with no problems. By connecting with an ethernet cable, connect the printer wireless has been disabled. It had to be done because the wireless radio had become unreliable. The idea was that the blue wireless light never came. Thus by connecting wired LAN, all problems are gone. Thanks to the team of Geed for help.

  • Photosmart C6180 cannot detect the wireless network

I have a Photosmart C6180 for over a year, and until recently it connected wireless very well.  But since a week ago, it can't detect the wireless network.  I turned off the printer and wireless router several times each without success.  The "Wireless Setup Wizard" running on the C6180does not help. Watch simply screen printer "looking for... wireless router. "indefinitely, until the function Cancel.  The wireless router is about four feet from the printer, in a direct line of sight.  In addition, I have wireless Internet access using the same router and continue to do this successfully, then the router itself works.  Recently I have updated the firmware on the router as well (after the beginning of this problem).  Running the network Test report wireless on a 'PASS' C6180 returns for "Radio on" but a "FAILURE" for "use of Radio". The radio broadcasts as "about" section of the Menu Radio wireless network.  My router is a Belkin Wireless G Router model F5D7230-4.  The printer prints very well with a wired connection, but wireless connectivity has been a key reason behind my purchase.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but your wireless radio is dead.  Its time for a new printer.

  • Connecting TPT for Mac computers

    Hey all!

I was very surprised and very disappointed when I plugged my TPT to my Mac using the USB > Micro USB cable and nothing happened. I expect the Mac to mount the internal storage of the unit. Should be like with all other Android device so shouldn't it? For example, you are asked if you want to enable the USB storage device, you click Yes and that's all. But nada!

Seriously, how am I to use this product, even if I can't copy my documents on it?

Don't tell me to put my stuff to a USB connection on the Mac and the Tablet back!

And while I'm asking, although not necessary, send the files via WiFi would be nice as well.

    Thanks and greetings

It works for me using "Android File Transfer". Free application that connects to my TPT.

It is not a pretty solution, but it works...

  • W7 PC on the router LAN port cannot find connected wireless OJ Pro 8500 has more router suite upgrade

My broadband provider has replaced my internet router with a new one with dual N band Wireless LAN GigE ports and. The 8500 a printer has been successfully connected WPA Wireless and works very well with a laptop Windows 7 Sony connected wireless and Apple devices.  However neither the desktop PC connected windows 7 Dell LAN or even Sony laptop when it is connected to a router LAN port can find the printer.  I tried to reinstall the printer software with the latest version on the site of HP OJ8500_A910_1315 and the installation fails as auditor of network environment cannot find the printer. I ran the diagnostics of HP network with two firewalls in the PC and router disabled without success. The LAN itself seems to work OK as the PC can meet, Exchange files and and can access the internet.  The router has been checked by the technical uupport of the broadband service provider.  The printer is visible as a network connected device in Windows Explorer so you expect the HP software to see. The only option to set the printers IP address and use it in the installion process or is there other settings that I can change to get the HP network environment checker works correctly?  Thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you very much.  Unfortunately the router (a BT HomeHub4) does not have such a context, in the hub Manager, which is accessible by the user but I have now found it has the ability to set the IP address of a wireless device if I did. I reinstalled successfully on the printer to all computers.

  • Photosmart HP 6510 cannot print in Parallels for Mac using Windows 7

Currently, I use the model above the printer with my Macbook (OS x Mountain Lion) and have no problem printing with the Mac.

The problem is when I'm in (Parallels Desktop 8) mode of the virtual machine and I am trying to print from Windows 7.

Although it seems to be recognizing the printer it tells me the printer is "offline: 1 document waiting."

Parallels support pages say that printers should operate automatically.

    Can anyone help?

Looks a bit like a mixed configuration here, where you are using a Macintosh with Windows loaded on the system. My first question is on the profile that you are working with you have loaded the appropriate drivers on the site for the Windows machine? Here's a link to it:

  • set up a Brother HL2170W to print wireless for Mac book Air

I have a Brother HL 2170W printer that is able to print wireless.  Having problems becoming it implemented.  Do not know what I do and there seems to be too many options.  Y at - it an easy way to put in place to work with my Mac book Air...

It took me 6 years to finally make it work on Mac OS X Sierra and Win10 wireless! I used to connect to the router with the Ethernet cable.

FORGET what brother can offer about the installation, they make unnecessary difficult.

    1. first of all use your connection Ethernet (printer with router) and mark the IP address of the printer: 192.XXX. XX. XX

    2. use any browser, type the IP address in the search bar and press return.

    3. you will be to set up printer Web page, allowing you to make changes: SSID, WAP2 password, etc.

You will need administrator access to change settings: user: admin password: access (can also be found in 'Help')

Better to download and install the BRM clear admin tool to find the new IP when a wireless connection for the changes to come.

The Mac automatically finds the printer and driver.

    Good luck.

  • Photosmart 6510 does not communicate wirelessly with Mac 10.8

I have a photosmart 6510 and an imac on 10.8

Both worked very well together, with all functions wireless works very well, until two days ago.  Two days ago, I changed my ISP and I have a new router. My mac and printer are connected properly to the new router, but they don't communicate wireless now.

I am able to print the wireless network test results and everything seems fine.

But when I send anything to print I get a message saying that the printer does not communicate or can't find the printer.

So I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers and all of the HP software. Everything was fine - the installer sees the device when the usb cable is connected, it indicates that the device is connected to the correct network and upon request I have unplug the usb cable.  But then I get an error warning:

Device not found on the network:

Wireless network settings were downloaded successfully on your device. However, your Mac could not locate the device on the network.

    Please make sure that:

    • Your Mac is connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to your device.

    • Your device is connected to the network wireless "TALKTALK".

Click on "Start over" to try to connect using the current settings. Click 'Go Back' to enter different settings.

And at this time, I'm stuck.

Can someone advise please how do I get the printer to work again wireless?

    Thank you

I think I've solved. restore the factory settings and then reconnected and the corrected IP itself.

  • Mac & HP 6500 A Lion won't be a connection wireless, tho Mac & airless 6500 Fund

I set up my MacBook pro with Lion and downloaded the update OS X 10.7 HP through the software update from Apple, through a referral from another thread on this forum.  After you have configured my Officejet 6500 E710n z, the wireless network Test report said "No problems found" and the wireless on the front of the printer icon is lit.  My Mac (Preferences > network >) shows "Wi - Fi connected" to our Wi - Fi access.  It prints very well with the ethernet cable.  However when I try to print with Airprint/free Wi-Fi, a message appears with "printer is off-line, printer is not connected."  IMac OS X 10.6.8 wife prints very well with this same printer wireless.  We have activated the "printer sharing" on our system.

I searched this forum for a few hours and did not find it.  Sorry if I missed it.

    Appreciate any help.

    Hello world

I found where my problem was.  Default printer installation has chosen its model number for the driver.  That did not work.  I found the solution by going to System Preferences > print & scan > Options & supplies > driver > print using.  I changed the selection of pilot for the specific model HP (HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z) number "Airprint printer" in the menu drop-down "with the help of Print."   Works like a dream now.

Hope it useful if someone else can't get their Mac with Lion to recognize a Wi - Fi printer.

  • Photosmart C4780 "cannot find the wireless router.

OK so apparently I'm not as tech savvy as I like to think of myself. I just got a used C4780 and spent 12 hours trying to figure how to set up so that I can print wireless. I had zero luck with that.

I read that the WPS connection method is more easy then I tried that first. After a few failed attempts, I tried to download the software for Windows 8 (as the disc that comes with it only goes to to Windows 7). I got the same error message 4 times (something Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error), so I then tried the method of the PIN code. After several settings (with the help of my brother on the phone, so I don't really remember what I did unfortunately) just as many failures to connect and I gave up this process.  I printed the 'Network Configuration' Page and the 'wireless network Test report", but I don't have much of a clue as to what it now means. I don't understand what I am doing wrong or what I could do different. The thing that really stumps me, is that the test report said that the printer can't find my router, but at the bottom of the Configuration Page, it lists my wireless network...

    USEFUL/IMPORTANT INFO:

    -HP Photosmart C4780

    -Lenovo all-in-One 8.1 Windows 64 bit

-router made by ARRIS and provided by my ISP (CableONE)

-J' installed all the updates that are available for Windows

-J' restarted the printer, computer, router AND several times

-my wireless router is in another room, but not more than perhaps 20 feet away

Side note: I have also a mini iPad... just throw it out there in case it might be a better tool to put up with... If you need to know something more to help me let me know! Thank you for cause in advance that I'm going stir crazy trying to figure this!

    JanessaMarie92 wrote:
I went on the website of my ISP and discovered that I can't get a new router because of this little note...

"Cable telephone Service is supported only on Arris modems rented your office of a cable or bought by http://yourbroadbandstore.com/solutions/cableone/."

Copy + paste directly from their Web site.

It's OK... you're using their product.  they can always put the Bridge mode.  Call them and tell them that you want to use your OWN router and they put it in Bridge mode.

EDIT - Bridge mode just turns off the router part and use it as a modem only.

I recommend you update your BIOS. Go to http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html , and then type the name of your product in the search box.  Choose the Dv5 Entertainment Notebook that you have and select.  On the next page select your operating system Windows 7 Home 32 or 64-bit. Once on the correct driver for your laptop page choose BIOS in the list of drivers. Please update your BIOS and reboot. This should bring your WIFI connection. Please let me know if that solves this problem.
