as I transferred it to the wrong forum, a quick translation in English:

I have a problem with a new HP LaserJet M4555 MFP (model CE502A) because user settings in settings fax-lan-disappear from time to time.

"Save to a shared network folder" is checked and the user data and correct file (domain, user, password) are data - access test says successful.

Suddenly after a few days the user settings, password and domain disappear and faxing is not longer possible.

the error log contains an entry of it:

County | Date and time | Print Sites | Action | Firmware | Description | Repeats

    14. 21.03.2013 | 13:35:03 | 982. 44.91.08 2201057_231936 | LAN - Fax Configuration error. 0

Re-enter the user name and click on save will store the settings, but the following Web site shows strange responses.

It is said that an "unexpected error has occurred. excuse the inconvenience, try again' but also 'process completed successfully '.

Fax settings are stored and everything works well, but a few days later, they are gone again and everything starts from the beginning.

firmware version is 2201057_231936 - have found a newer version on the web.

Any tips, tricks or other ideas to try? It would be logical to choosable firemware even?

has got a new version of Firmware per HP: FutureSmart 2 SP3 (2300274_376884) that resolves this problem successfully.

  • HP Officejet Pro 87625:8625 Question on... the fax settings and scan Windows

Using the touch screen on my brand new 8625 (aka 8520) all-in-one there is a fax parameter: "Scan and Fax" which is off. I think it is the way in which it is lacking. Despite this, I am able to fax a document (which is of course scanned into the process) so I don't understand what this option is for.

    Anyony to understand this?

I know that I can scan OK because I can see the scanned document on a web page of analysis test. I also received a numbe of HP fax test fax.

    Hello

Which must be defined as disabled by default in effect.

As of now, when you fax Fax dials and scan the fax during the process, which means that you hear the dial tone first and the scan is done during communication.

In defining it as scan them and fax the document will be completely analyzed in the memory of the unit first, then only the unit will begin to compose and fax the document from his memory, that the function must be used for specific purposes, such as printing a report of confirmation with a thumbnail, that requires storing the document first...

    2. on the keypad, press in and hold the # and 6 at the same time. While now the two buttons under the printer.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: Fax software does not load

    Hi people.

I had my 6700 for awhile now, but only recently required the use of Fax hospital.

What I've found, is that I have a problem with two things.

When I open HP Print Wizard there are two things that start to load but never actually do. They hang around 50%.

It's "Manage fax settings" and "digital SAF Setup Wizard.

I tried to remove and reload the software, but no luck.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi @BigDingus,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I see that you could reconfigure fax and digital fax, that is great to hear configuration settings.

I understand that you have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, which does not seem to heal. At this stage, I can only assume that the problem is a software conflict, which blocks the ability to use these features in the HP software. The SAP offers same utilities, I would use the built-in Web server in the future.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

  • Fax rings on the voicemails.

I just bought a Photosmart 7520 replacing laserjet 7800.  I only have one phone line w / voicemail capabilities.  the 7800 would auto answer when a fax is received without any problem.  The 7520 receives the fax but when it comes to a voice message, fax sounds activate during the voice message.  all solutions?

Hello walpanand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you fax related issues.  I would try to help.

This problem is probably due to rings to answer without setting accordingly.  I would recommend the document following Instructions of Configuration of fax HP.  I also recommend this document on linking telephone lines and set up the Fax settings.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Need a Confirmation Page after a FAX?

Never a fax "reception"? When you send a fax, there is a way to get a page letting you know where and when you sent it.

You will NOT be able to get a PAPER COPY of what you sent.

The confirmation page can be printed on the elements SENT or RECEIVED, or BOTH.

    The steps would be:

    1. go to printer settings

    2. choose REPORTS

    3. go into the FAX REPORTS

    4. power on (SENT, RECEIVED, or both) according to what fits your criteria.

On some printers, your fax settings may be available when the numeric keypad is displayed:

    1. go in the fax settings

    2. choose the FAX REPORTS

    3. choose FAX CONFIRMATION

If you have any questions please ask.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP 4630: HP 4630 fax function

Can the HP4630 fax a file saved without printing the file and scans it to the fax machine set up by screen.  I went through the process of sending the file to the fax in the print window, but I can't read the file when it appears on the fax window.  If she will send a cover sheet without printing it, it should send a saved file.  It does not seem to load on the fax window.  HP 4630 should be able to load a saved file and fax without having it go through the fax process printed.  Anyone have the answer?
