  I recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 on my HP G71-340US notebook.  The installation went well except that when the computer is started, I found that the PC did not find any wi - fi connections.  After further investigation, I found that the network controller do not have a driver installed.  I downloaded the latest software of NIC driver on the HP website (via ethernet cable) and directed the pilot.  Updated the Realtek PCIe Controller Family driver, but the driver for network controller did not.  As a result, I could not even connect to wi - fi networks.  The information of the network adapter are listed below for reference.  Your help would be greatly appreciated to resolve this issue.  Thank you.

  If your wireless device is a part of Intel and Intel has a driver download page which has a driver update utility you can download (maybe on your desktop) and let it scan your system and see if it suggests a driver for you:

  It is generally not a good idea to use Windows Update to hardware device drivers (video, audio, network) because Microsoft does not know what are the best drivers for your system.  Always get material on the www of manufacturers if possible device drivers (if you want your system to work properly).

  If you ever see updates of hardware driver provided by Windows update that I would refuse them, and then hide them if you do not install the wrong drivers accidentally.

  Here you can see where I chose not to install and then hidden Windows updates for an NVIDIA graphics card since I know that they are probably not right and I know I should get only the right NVIDIA from WWW NVIDIA site drivers.

  Hello guys, sorry for the late reply, I just reinstall the audio driver of Lenovo for Y50 - 70 website, that's all, if it doesn't work try to restart and reinstall the driver, I figured it out by accident.

  Here's another interesting event. I use sleep mode all the time, that's what happens "when I close the lid. After upgrade Windows 8.1 for Windows 10 RTM, "standby mode" is not found. "when I close the lid" and related parameters in power management have an empty selection, sleep does not appear in the drop-down list of choices. It seems revenue to "Put to sleep" by default. By reading the other Windows 10 forums I know sleep is supported in Windows 10, how can I get that back? I tried to download and install the latest driver for power management (as dated 17/07/2015, I think) but I get the message that "you already have a newer version of the driver installed", I cancelled out of the facility. Are there newer drivers planned for soon? I can shoot with Microsoft Basic Display Driver (3200 x 1800 only, see my other ad in the forum), although I used a different resolution in Windows 8.1 and hibernate instead of mode 'sleep', but I hope that these features will work soon.   I upgraded my computer windows 10 laptop and it cannot detect a network.   The network adapters that appear in the Device Manager - controller Realtek PCI FE and Qualcomm-Atheros 802.11 AR9485 wifi adapter but I can't see any network.   I tried to install several drivers for Atheros without success.   I went back to windows 8.1 and network drivers works, I have upgraded to windows 10 back and I can't connect to wireless networks. I tried to update the drivers without success, uninstall and reinstall without success, I have alos tried the solution published on the microsoft unsuccessfully Web site: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3084164

  I get an error message saying "the system was unable to find the key to register specified or the value '. '" I didn't install any software VPN or another, is there a solution to my problem?

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I understand that you have a problem with your Wi - Fi on the laptop HP Pavilion G6. You mentioned that you can't detect a wireless network.

  I did some research and found a great document for you called HP PC - troubleshooting wireless network and Internet.

  What happened with you have attempted to use the resolution of the problems mentioned in the link you so much?

  Have you tried to restore the BIOS?

  Have you tried to connect directly to the Modem/Router?

  Have you tried to boot mode safe?

  You can maneuver in Mode safe without problem?

  In my research, I also found a Support Forum on the page called Microsoft Community after upgrading Windows 8.1 for Windows 10, no wireless networks are available.

  There is a post of RajithR. Read his message in its entirety. (I also provided it below.)

  

  You said you tried to uninstall the driver. Are - what you got to do it in the order shown below?

  • Uninstall the driver of network card in Device Manager,
  • Reboot the laptop twice,
  • Reinstall the driver.

  Please use the HP Support Assistant, it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase or this update of need.

  I know you said you tried to update the driver also. Have you tried to do it in the Device Manager in the order given below?

  • In the Device Manager
  • Click the network adapters to expand
  • Right-click on the network adapter family
  • Select software update of the driver
  • Choose search for automatically updating driver software.
  • Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

  Please follow the troubleshooting steps above and the re-post with the results, information from the above questions and HP Pavilion G6 Notebook PC model number.

  I had installed version of bad for graphics drivers intel so I opend laptop in safe mode and then deleted bad drivers after that I restarted the laptop, then it opened again, once disappeared from the blank screen I installed the latest version of the graphics drivers intel BIOS driver from following link:

  Hi Brucgovn, thanks for the answer! Just sorted and came here to update the post.

  My method is similar, I just do the following:

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\CoreSyncExtension (this was the only file on the left, all others had been removed from the CreativeCloudCleaner use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems running
  2. I came across the problem trying to remove, so used Unlocker (Download Unlocker 1.9.2 - FileHippo.com) to unlock. Then deleted. It's explorer.exe using the process, which I think caused questions... the process is using the file
  3. Reinstalled and everything seems to work.
