HP8625 printer: password lock control panel

My fax in the printer HP 8625 range is locked.

Using the control panel of the printer if I go to tools/configuration/control panel lock I am asked to put a "user name" and "password", I used the name and the password I have for the administrator when I am connected to the remote printer.  It does not work. The fax is enabled in Settings/Security(Administrator Settings).

What should I do?

Thank you

  • Inkjet Pro 8620: printer not displayed Control Panel

Allows to print from my computer to the printer - print & scan done doctor scan, service scan ok - printer power button (will stop not to when you press on)-made sliding your finger on the screen (from right to left).  Where should I go from here?

    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I hope that you are well @Help44,

I understand that your Officejet 8620 does not turn off when you press and hold the power button, and I wanted to tender hand for help.

My suggestion would be to try a power reset the printer, and then make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet to start. If this does not help, try checking for a firmware update. If all else fails, call telephone support to see about a replacement with HP unit. Here are all the links to help!

    Reset:

With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  • Upstream is not showing control panel not / broken

The preflight Panel does not appear. Call from the main menu (window > output > preflight), or the bottom of the window document or via the keyboard shortcut - none of them work - the preflight Panel seems for now shorter, then disappears. No other part of the interface seems to be broken or behave in the same way.

    System

Mac OS 10.6.8 InDesign CC version 9 and Indesign CC version 9.1

    Previous versions:

Exactly the same behavior in CS6 (8.0.1)

    Works fine in CS5.5 (v7.5.3)

Measures taken to solve the problems:

Reproduce the problem in a Mac OS X guest account.

Reproduce the problem after resetting preferences (as described in the post 101 troubleshooting: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990?start=160 & tstart = 0 ( )

Tried to disable the control (via the menu bottom of document preflight) upstream. Tried to create new profiles.

    Removed / reinstalled preflight profiles?

Don't know how I could do that, but it occurred to me, that might be helpful.

    Using non standard preflight profiles?

No, using the supplied preflight profile.

    All troubleshooting advice appreciated...

Turns, I managed to get the preflight Panel to display. Here's how: I changed my workspace to one that included the upstream ("printing and proofing") Control Panel. Simple as that.

However, the problem persists when I invoke the Panel in the preflight down window or shortcut menu - the preflight Panel still flashes and disappear instantly. It must be some sort of bug in the user interface.

However, I now have a workaround.

  • Admin Control Panel password reset

    Hi guys,.

I need help, as I am not able to access my control panel of the printer hp laserjet p1102w wireless. I recently picked up on a new internet service provider and unable to even log in the control panel to enter the parameters without news feed!

I forgot the password I had set for the control panel during the initial installation and have desperately need advice on how can I reset the password for this machine!

Please help I have a printer which I am unable to use it to its full potential

    Kind regards

    Kad

    Hey, Kad,.

Looks like your printer must have a reset done to it.  This will reset the device to a factory State, but will not affect pages, service ID or other static product values.

I send information to perform this reset for you in a private message.  Please read Bob_Headrick wire on the printer reset, found here, before you perform these steps.

  • HP3070 b611all in a printer: HP3070 unable to scan from the printer control panel

    Hello

Although I can scan a document from my laptop I can't do it from the printer control panel.

I tried following the instructions in the Support Center
"HP Deskjet 3070 e - all-in - One Printer Series - how Scan: from the control panel" but I didn't know where I could: ' activate the scan to the computer connection (Windows only).

Anywhere there is no mention of "Scan" under settings B3070 only in a separate file, HP Scan on my system...

Thanks for your help so far.  I now have much more HP files/programs that I started with.  What can delete and to be able to continue to print wireless & scan of the computer, or maybe I should ask what files do I need and I can uninstall.

  • HP ENVY 114 e-all-in-one printer - D411c control panel problem

The printer has been used for a HP Pavilion with Vista and an HP running Win 7 laptop.  It is configured on a local wireless network.

I've had the printer for a year and I am very very happy with it, but:

The Panel recently has stopped working properly.

It does not complete the boot process and remains with the small blue HP graphic on the screen.

The printer continues to print correctly on both computers.

On Vista machine I can run the series HP Envy 110 support demand and access to ink, preferences and analysis levels correctly.

Win 7 does not demand full support on the machine. I don't get the included links for features like 'see what's printing","Set preferences", the"estimated ink levels"and others. And I can't scan from this machine.

I have power drove the printer a number of times.

Is there a secret way to reset the printer, so a default configuration that could properly start whe the control panel is not available?

I consider myself at least able, both for the work of PC and networks of intermediate level.

I'm not aware of any HW or SW change other than the frequent patches issued by Microsoft.

    @LucyRicky,

If a print job is in progress, you should see an option 'Cancel' on the display on the printer. Press Cancel to stop the print job.

    I hope that helps!
