HPNetworkCommunicator.exe

A week ago, I bought a new 8600 more printer officejet. I have loaded the software on my laptop Sony Viao (running windows 7). The printer is connected to my home wireless network. Now whenever I'm away from my home wireless network my laptop cursor continue to busy (blue wheel rotation) every 4 seconds. I ran the Task Manager and a file called HPnetworkCommunicator.exe seems to be the problem. The issue does not exist when I return to my home wireless network. This problem is very serious and makes the job very difficult, if not connected to my home network on my laptop. You have another solution to the HP printer for a refund. John Kitchener

I have several instances of HPNetworkCommunicator.exe being run, but only 1 printer configured.  An escalation manager HP/engineer? connected to my PC to help solve a problem that I had with Efax.  He used a tool of the scrubber and left all instances previous HP printers I had and then reinstalled the PhotoSmart 7150 software.

Everything worked fine after that.  However, Windows did an update on my computer and after that I could not the scanner, no printer software worked (to check the ink levels, scanner, etc...).  Responsible for the escalation, said there are problems with Windows updates because after the update, Windows does not see the printer as a scanner and it is a threat to the network, so it disables the scan from the printer part.

He has reinstalled the printer that a printer wireless and then scan will work again.  However, he had several (3) instances of HPnetworkCommunicator.exe running after that.

I went into the control panel and saw 2 7510 s PhotoSmart configured, so I deleted one of the printers.  I thought that's why there are several instances of HPneworkCommunicator running, and delete the redundant printer would solve the problem.

I rebooted and checked everything was working on the printer.  However, I have yet 2 instances of HPnetworkCommunicator running.  Is this normal?

    Hello

It is normal to have more than one instance running at the time sime because of several communication actions occouring simultanly (e.g. alerts of ink. Front panel to scan, the device status, etc..)

This is the mode of operation of the specific software version.

If you see the affected PC performance, it's another story.

For such a question, I would recommend you to set the alert of ink as shown below, restart the PC and check any changes:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03191239

If performance is still affected, also disable the front panel scan option.

If the software does not affect the PC somehow, you have really not hae any reason to take action.

There is a version recent software that corrects this "Hourglass" or "blue circles" mouser cursor behavior.

I suggest you go here to find the latest software for your hp printer: http://h20614.www2.hp.com/ediags/gmd/welcome.aspx?

For users who may be affected by similar behavior on another product, new software has been published for many inkjet printers HP (corresponding with the release of Windows 8) which corrects this problem.

If a newer version of the software is available for your product, I strongly suggest to install.

  • Re: HPNetworkCommunicator.exe

On a new one-week-old Officejet Pro 8600 Plus,.

I had a very similar experience, but a laptop was not involved, but rather 3 desktops WIRELESS networking.  The first computer has no problem, but both the second and third computers on which I loaded the printing software have the problem.  When the printer is not turned on (similar to the laptop used off-site) these 2 computers show in 'processes' in the Windows 7 Task Manager which
    HPNetworkCommunicator.exe
TRYING to 'run' about the intervals of 10 seconds when the printer is NOT TURNING ON
and that causes a "busy indicatorgreen circle" to run (as the hourglass with slider) which is very annoying to say the least.

As soon as the printer is on the Windows 7 task manager then shows a SECOND instance of

    HPNetworkCommunicator.exe

added to the list of the 'process' with TWO instances of

    HPNetworkCommunicator.exe

stabilized and the "busy indicatorgreen circle" is not running every 10 seconds.

The first computer that is not the problem is NOT ALL instances of

    HPNetworkCommunicator.exe

running (or trying to run) in the Windows 7 task manager - not with the printer TURNED OFF or TURNED ON.

At this point, I'm tempted to uninstall all the info from the printer by number of computers 2 and 3 and do a "clean" from the installation CD install or maybe just the drivers only and I hope NOT to do something in the printer software installed on several computers 2 and 3 I had the chance to not choose on machine number 1.

I'm sorry to hear that support did not help.  And glad to hear two changes did the trick:

I found there is now a HP document explaining the two actions.

The mouse cursor turns into an hourglass (the system is busy) after a network HP printer Installation

  • hpnetworkcommunicator questions

Problems connecting HP 8600 more N911a after the unit is in mode 'sleep'.

1 can not print or scan to unit when 8600 remained inactive, (standby mode). Problem solved in 8600 power cycle.

    2. an induced effect of the above is hpnetworkcommunicator.exe by turning the mouse in the small circle every 5 seconds.

I removed it from startup until the problem is resolved. (Disables scan of the computer to the printer.)

Running Windows 7 64-bit on computers with cable and wireless.  Problem exists on both.

I gave to 8600 a static address. This did not help.

I had this device for a few weeks. As the characteristics, but the bugs are very annoying.

    Anyone?

Thanks for the Dean of entry. If you will notice the problem is both wired and wireless. You could have something on the PC goes into mode 'sleep' who contribute to this issue with hpnetworkcommunicator, but after this deletion since windows started the problem seems to be resolved. This is not disable anything I need, so I'm very happy.

I have the latest updates for the operating system and HP firmware / software.

This problem can easily be re-product by executing the hpnetworkcommunicator.

It is my humble opinion that this software component is wrong.

    Thanks Dean.

Are there other HP file or file windows called scanner of HP who participates in the scan Communication that must be added or tried?

    A short history:

After spending 4 hours and countless computers, printer, router restarts, channel changes etc, on the phone with HP printer support, to solve this problem, I was called back to my firewall provider (Trend Micro) when the product is disables scan works. (Yes, it's the same question that I started.)  As you can imagine made me unhappy...? Since I had already made contact with them for advice on how to configure the product before posting here in the first place and, possibly, appellant assistance from the printer.

The solution was finally trend had me to rename a file in the registry, which, I presume, caused the trend product regenerate a clean version of the file.  As trend firewall exceptions had already been saved, scan over wireless works now! I post the location of the file and registry name, unless you use the identical product etc. to modify your registry database is scary business.

Naturally, because it was just going to be like that, scan network worked, but then the network printer showed offline and I couldn't online despite shooters evil etc.  In the end today I completely uninstalled the product and the resinstalled it and now everything works.  Hard to be too crazy about HP, when, notwithstanding this saga, HP was right to send back me the vendor of the firewall... everyone gets their turn in the barrel of the dysfunction of the technology, and it was mine.

What a striped set incredibly complicated of technologies that we depend on.  Travis, thanks for your help and trying on it.

In order to disable the dreaded hpnetworkcommunicator.exe, I need to be able to access controls to check the ink levels, preferences, etc..  However, following support forums online here, it seems I'm missing software etc. which allows me to access preferences such as checking the ink levels after printing etc.

  • Cannot scan with my Photosmart 7510. Installed any printer software

    Windows 7 64 bit

After 10 hours on the phone with HP support, service Cloud and a HP escalation Manager, I can do everything except Scan.

After that the escalation of HP Manager allows a 'scrubber utility' to completely remove all previous, all HP printer software now runs on my printer except SCAN.  From the printer control panel, it says: "make sure that the HP printer software is installed.  Since the PC when you select the HP Scan utility, is said: "HP Photosmart series 7510 not found '.

    Help please!

This has been fixed by a HP escalation Manager today!

Apparently, when windows is an update of security for your computer (Windows 7 in my case), it disables the ability to scan your printer because it doesn't recognize as valid a device on your wireless network and disables it so.

We had to reinstall the printer as a new wireless printer and then 'activate' it as a scanner.  After having done that, you should have a background running which is called, "HPNetworkCommunicator.exe" process Now, I can scan the computer, as well as from the control panel of the printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 causes the computer cursor indicate that the system is busy (turning circle)

I have connected the Officejet pro 8600 printer to my wireless home network and continuously now the cursor on the computer will indicate that the system is busy producing a turning circle every 5 to 10 seconds. The computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system.  I went to the Task Manager on the computer and has determined that a file named HpNetworkCommunicator.exe is the origin of the problem in cycling on and off (looking for a signal). I turned on the printer and the file remains on and the problem is solved. However, I don't want to leave the printer at any time, is anyway to stop this file from the search for the printer when the printer is turned off?  Thanks in advance.

  • All-in-one Officejet 4620 HP loses connection wireless network when it starts in mode 'sleep'

My printer HP 4620 all-in-one wireless works fine until it enters mode "Eve".  Once it goes into sleep mode, it is not wake up if a print job is sent to it.  If I wake up it manually by pressing the power button flashing, she does still not print.  If I've completely put off and then on again, the print job that has been put on hold on my computer will start printing, but it's a huge pain and loss of time almost everytime I want to print.  I installed all available updates.  I also assigned a static IP address in an effort to correct this, but nothing helped.  I see that others have complained about this problem, but I see not that anyone has had success resolving this.  My operating system is Windows Vista.  I use a Sys-Link Wireless G Router.  Thank you.

Ok.  My printer worked flawlessly for a few days, and I think I can declare the problem solved.  I think the problem started when I applied a HP recommended workaround for a different problem, that is, HPNetworkCommunicator.exe kept running and goes out 10-15 seconds, with the cursor displays activities whenever the program is running.  When I reversed this workaround solution, solve the problem wireless (but of course, I had once more the annoying problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe).  I then discovered that HP had published a software release that fixes the problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe.  I installed the new version of the software.  HPNetworkCommunicator.exe is now fixed, and my wireless connection remains stable even when the printer goes to sleep.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Print more stuck in the wireless network that

My windows computer uses XP with SP3.

I recently installed this new printer / all-in-one. The printer is used in a business office. Earlier in the day, the print function works fine. The function scan and I works pouvons fax direcltly to the computer. I can print from my I phone. But then, without any error message printouts begin to get stuck in printing (QC)

I can always print from my Iphone and I can always use the other functions (scan & fax). I can print to other printers on network.

I noticed that hpnetworkcommunicator.exe runs twice in the Task Manager when this happens and I end a session to release sometimes draws. In addition, when this occurs I can restart the computer and which also enables the printer working properly again. When I restart the computer, I'm going to finish the rundll32.exe process I've ever had to do before installation of the new printer.

I tried the HP print and doctor Scan and everything removed but she recommended that disable the firewall settings. I still have the problem with the firewall disabled.

    Thanks for any help.

Follow this document, sounds to me like you may have to uninstall/reinstall the printer software. Try reinstalling from the downloaded driver at www.hp.com under Support and drivers/Drivers and software. Good luck!!
