  One of them is probably related to the problem you see. Unchecking in Autoruns will prevent them from starting. Once you're ready, reboot your computer (restart, not stop and start again).   Please, report your findings, didn't this come back after that?

  Something unrelated to the original problem - I see that you have installed a software IOBit - these come with a very low reputation and the level of protection they offer is very low compared to competitive suppliers. In addition, they were taken to cheat and steal things propretiery by other sellers. Personally, I recommend you to uninstall them and replace them with something better like ESET, Kaspersky, etc...

• dialog box "Choose the program you want to open this file" is displayed when I start (after shutdown or restart) with my windows username listed in the file to open

  As I mentioned, the dialog box appears after every restart.  It occurs after I entered my credentials to logon and proceeded to windows.  It seems to be pretty late in the boot process that things like the chat programs and widgets are fully charged at the time wherever the dialog box is displayed.

  The dialog box appears to be the 'Open with' dialog box in Windows 7 standard.

  Specifically the dialogue reads as follows:

  I solved the problem.

  I found that when creating a new user, no longer had the open with dialog box.

  I started the process of resolution of a corrupted user profile (which seems little more than creating a new and copy and paste a few old values), when I decided to try one last thing.

  I logged on my account corrupted again and when the 'Open with' dialog that I open the file with Notepad.  I tried to "save under" to locate the file and found that it was located in C:\Users.  Something in recent weeks seems to have put a file without an extension, called "Mathew" (my log in name) in this folder, and it began when I started windows.

  I have since deleted the file and am no longer get the "Open with" dialog

  Be very careful that you disable.  I must say that I have disabled the update of Google because it was a real pain he having to download updates on a daily basis.  These Adobe updates are a pain as well, and if you miss a couple of them, it will not be a big deal.  Complete PDF and Logitech camera software updates should be safe to turn off, but I doubt if that would save a lot.  Be sure to not very many changes at once so that if something goes wrong, you have a good idea of what caused it.

  I do audio recording and mixing on my HPE 510 t i7 2600 in Cubase recording software - it's streaming audio in real time is an intensive process of same CPU. To keep the CPU and Ram devoted solely to the tasks of Cubase, I always disable my network adapters in Device Manager and stop the Norton to silent mode during these sessions. The goal is to get rid of - temporarily - all substantive activities that capture the CPU.

  Something is still ongoing in the background that causes sudden spikes of CPU and interfere with the program registration. Sometimes a pop-up HP appeared in the middle of a recording session, asking if she should go ahead and update the drivers now. I need to disable this option. I don't want to update the drivers when they are needed, but manually rather than automatically.

  Disable hpwuSchd in msconfig to stop the activity of background? Don't know exactly what hpwuSchd does, but it looks like it could be the firmware for HP support assistant who is fidgeting in the background tries to access the Internet with the LAN card off... Thanks for any advice.

  No, it's always in the same way, may need to adjust how you hold on this application, so it wiggles, instead of the 3d button.

  Since last week I have been having a problem where my computer screen appears with a reading of the question 'your system has sold out of the memory of the application.' This happens around every 20-30 minutes to use my computer, where the issue is resolved by restarting my computer. However, this message appears when I have 1 or 2 applications open (including the permanent Finder application). At my computer without a doubt a lot of memory left and I installed only 5 additional applications: League of Legends, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook. I used OS X El Capitan for the first half of the week and macOS Sierra for the second half, but the upgrade did not solve my problem.

  Your system is running out of RAM, not disk space. 4 GB is the absolute minimum of RAM. Try to remove all unnecessary startup items (Preferences > users and groups > you > login items) with the key less (not simply uncheck the boxes - which hide just the app but it still works).

  You can also run activity monitor (Applications > utilities) to see what is using the memory.
