HTTP error 0 test being not not php pages please help

Hi all

I use DWCS3, the free version of MAMP on my MacBook Pro Leopard 10.5.6.

I've built a customer registration form with a transitional provision <! DOCTYPE >. I followed the instructions of The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3, by using a wizard to create a registration form, in chapter 15.

When I try to preview the form in the browser, I get a white screen.

When I click the live data button, I get one. 0 HTTP error has occurred trying to request the file http://localhost:8888/mywebsite/page_S9INUKZB.php test server.

possible reasons:

1 files in MacHD/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mywebsite with .php extension are not executed by the testing server.

2 MacHD/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mywebsite is not mapped to http://localhost: 8888/mywebsite URL on the testing server.

I went on the site several times definitions and that you have set up MAMP differently twice, using ports 80 and 3306 and 8888 and 8889. The same problem happened in both cases this is my definition of site info:

Local news:

Site name: mywebsite

Local root folder: MacHD:Users:myname:Desktop:mywebsite

links from the document: http://localhost/

Remote Info:

Access: Local/network

Remote folder: MacHD:Applications:MAMP:htdocs:mywebsite

Test server:

Server model: PHP/MySQL

Access: Local/network

The testing server folder: MacHD:Applications:MAMP:htdocs

URL prefix: http://localhost: 8888/mywebsite /

Web sharing is disabled.

Dreamweaver/preferences/Preview in browser/preview using temporary files is turned off, but in my error message 0 HTTP there are a string of characters after the page name, which suggests that dreamweaver uses temporary files.

I am attaching a compressed copy of the client registration form, the problem may be page. I went round and round in circles with this and I can't seem to do the sorting can someone help me please.

Thank you.

Both the record of the test server and the URL prefix should point to the same place. You have this:

Local news:

Site name: mywebsite

Local root folder: MacHD:Users:myname:Desktop:mywebsite

links from the document: http://localhost/

Remote Info:

Access: Local/network

Remote folder: MacHD:Applications:MAMP:htdocs:mywebsite

Test server:

Server model: PHP/MySQL

Access: Local/network

The testing server folder: MacHD:Applications:MAMP:htdocs

Prefix of the URL: http://localhost: 8888/mywebsite /

Links from the document/http://localhost: 8888/mywebsite /

The testing server folder: MacHD:Applications:MAMP:htdocs:mywebsite

Prefix of the URL: http://localhost: 8888/mywebsite /
