• I downloaded the update to FF twice, but the web sites are not displayed despite my being on the page. Also restarted.

  Web pages (I tried different web sites) are not displayed, but the line at the bottom of the screen indicates that I am indeed on the web site.   As long as your "encoder" don't mess with embedded scripts and style definitions, fonts TypeKit will remain intact. It may not appear when editing the code, but in the browser. The rest is of no consequence. There are hundreds of different FTP clients or other ways to get your files on the server. Just put the entire folder of the published site.
