• I downloaded the update to FF twice, but the web sites are not displayed despite my being on the page. Also restarted.

  Web pages (I tried different web sites) are not displayed, but the line at the bottom of the screen indicates that I am indeed on the web site. Previously, before, I downloaded the version nerw of FF, display web pages seemed slow unless I'm assured by cursor was "large" of the space on the screen that displays the web page.

  At a glance I'd say it's because you are clearing out the average divs, but not others. This changes the alignment calculations...

  Our family has a computer which is now 18 months old that it was loaded with Windows vista, again and we use Windows seven and Google as our browser. We have three users set up for my son and my wife who is the admin on the system by password.

  The button images and some pages are not displayed correctly the web they have a Red Cross in it if you hover over some of the buttons they invented the text boxes and work, but not all.

  However my wife who is the administrator has no meanings and we have removed all administrator rights, but the problem is still there for me and my son.

  Your help on this issue would be grately appreciated because he drives me crazy.

  The first to do in such a case, if you downloaded new files is to reload webpages and ignore the cache.

  • Hold SHIFT and click reload.
  • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
  • Press 'Cmd + Shift + R' (MAC)

  You have images on your web page with a backslash in the URL escaping from Firefox a 5% C and which do not work.
  
  You can see these images as gray in tools > Page Info > Media window.

• Web site does not correctly display in Crome, but is fine in Explorer?

  Can you tell me why my site does not appear correctly when I open it in Google Crome? I have to "Refresh" the page, and then it is displayed correctly. So far, it appears fine in Explorer.

  Since you seem to use Avast, let me explore a possible explanation...

  Did you know the secure certificate errors, for example the sec_error_bad_signature error code? If you have Firefox create an 'exception' to approve a suspicious certificate, concerning only the main server, and if the site gets its style sheets from a server secure, then the page without style.

  The most common reason for the 'sec_error_bad_signature' many sites seems to be the shield of Web of Avast. Web Shield intercepts your navigation and filter, but to filter sites secure, it has "fake" certificates for Firefox. Avast have set Firefox to rely on its false certificates, but which seems to fail on a regular basis.

  To test this theory, try disabling scanning of encrypted sites. I saw these steps in another post:

  1. Open the Avast dashboard on an affected system.
  2. Select settings in the left side menu.
  3. Adopt a Protection Active.
  4. Click on customize next to the Web Shield.
  5. Uncheck the option "Enable HTTPS analysis", and then click ok

  If that solves the problem, but you want to filter encrypted communication, you need to import the Avast! signature in Firefox Certificate Manager of certificates, References tab.

  Help the novice drifting!  I realized my first website using CS4 and the results show correctly in IE6 but the content box are missing when stated in IE9, the menu begins to the left of the container and the main content is not displayed correctly.  If compatibility view is selected in IE9 it shows correctly.  Any help would be appreciated.  The site is www.hugared.co.uk.  Thanks in advance.

  The menu is because you have assigned incoherent widths for list items and their links included in this menu.  Check them all for each State of the link and don't go wider than 80px.

  Like when I load some myspace photo or as a search for youtube instead of the image, it will be just a white square or a small picture of a frame photo like the one you get when your browser does not load an image or a thumbnail of what can so do to correct? help please?

  Go to start / Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced / Multimedia / and check the box to display pictures.  Click OK.  This should solve the problem for all browsers.

  If it isn't already, after return and we will check the other options.

  Many sites now use downloadable fonts to create their icons instead of the traditional image files. So, there are some Firefox settings that might be a factor, as well as the NoScript extension, if you use this (blocked objects).

  (1) in the dialog box fonts Advanced, unchecking the checkbox which allows the site to use its own choice of fonts. To check that:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content > button "Advanced".

  Here you must "allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  (2) on the deactivation of fonts downloaded in: config. It's less likely, or you remember probably not, but here's how to check on it.

  • In a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
  • In the search box at the top of the list, type or paste the gfx and make a pause so that the list is filtered
  • If gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled preference is bold and user, set false, double-click it to return it true.

  This seems useful.

  Try turning off the GPU. Go in Edition > Preferences > Performance (Lightroom > preferences > Performance on a Mac) and uncheck the box use Graphics Processor.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

• Some Web sites will not load

  Some websites will not load or partially charge and will be usually just load the site title and nothing else and will have a spinning wheel at the top which will not stop.
  They tend to work on FF before, but no more.

  Also, when I click on another link or something like that it will show the whole page as it is supposed to be for the duration it takes to switch the clicked link. I can, for example, (though I'm pretty fast) click on another link and then cancel it and I'll be able to see the page (in some really weird stuff).

  I read something about Java Script doing this problem, I turned off Java script and I could see some of the sites, but Needless to say that certain features of the Web site are lost.
  Happens on websites very little well but still enough to annoy me. I don't like not only 2 or 3 sites from switching browsers.

  You can check for problems with preferences.

  Delete possible user.js and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
