HTTPS

Hi, my Iomega Home Media is configured for IP 192.168.0.100 (obtaining configuration of DHCP on the router) and I have a server configured as 192.168.0.2. My router is 192.168.0.1. I did a port forward external port to an internal server on port 443 (https). When I try to access my https://myexternaladreess it open the Web Interface of Iomega. If I disable the Iomega, it goes to my 192.168.0.2 server. There is no way to disable the https Iomega?

Thanks and greetings

  • "Failed to read your feed. Result code bad http: 504 "

Recently, I restarted my show. ' oh indeed ' and I'm unable to know certain things. I downloaded a brief show on talkshoe.com as if I had years back and when you go to the application of Podcast or Itunes. You can download the program as long as your capital. But it will not be displayed in the search.

When I go on my podcasts connect page, it says "cannot play your stream. Result code bad http: 504 "

I don't know what is the issue. my RSS URL is http://recordings.talkshoe.com/rss93020.xml

    Any ideas? Thank you.

As you say, the episode seems when you subscribe in iTunes, the iTunes Store is not show it again. I can access the food OK in FireFox and Terminal; It validates in FeedValidator but CastFeedValidator cannot read the stream even after 3 minutes. It is possible that the store can catch up later (it is may be slow because food has not been updated for four years) but there is no way to know about it.

All this points to your server not responding to certain types of application. When I tried in Podcasts connect he simply says that he was unable to read from the stream. You have a 504 error - this is a 'GateWay timeout '. This page says:

"A (not necessarily a Web server) server acts as a gateway or proxy to meet the demand of the client (e.g. your Web browser) to access the requested URL." This server has not received a response in due course to an upstream server, what it accessible to treat your HTTP request.

This means that the upstream server is down (not), rather than based on the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the data exchange protocol.

Correction of errors of 504 - General

This problem is entirely due to the slow IP communication between the back-end computers, possibly with the Web server. Only people who have set up the network on the site that hosts the Web server can solve this problem. »

Your next step is to take it up with the people who run your server.

  • How do force you HTTPS in Safari?

Safari would there be a way to force HTTPS, as a plug-in, or it do it automatically?

Not sure about a plug-in to add support for the HTTPS protocol. In other browsers, support

are automatic and browsers such as Firefox display the possible icons

see what level of support the browser gives to security on specific sites.

    screenshot of Firefox

Usually, I check manually by adding the HTTPS to a site page to see if it is supported

and well it does, before she really works. Sometimes this page prefix does not work.

An example of a site that has or had used a standard http: who had seen the switch

Mac users to, was a curiosity for me because the site of the company (IMO) should support

HTTPS. So I tried and found that it did. A few years ago. So, if or when I'm talking about others

for one such page, where we ask the serial number of product or other info, I try & provide HTTPS.

    example: https://www.powerbookmedic.com/identify-mac-serial.php

We had usually seen working in standard http, but works in https.

Some sites do not have a permanent secure (depending on the browser), if the prefix is changed to the of '.

My first browser of choice is Firefox, saw the old Macs that have unsupported versions of Safari.

    {For my more old use a generation custom PPC of Mozilla Firefox, TenFourFox name.}

Safari Extensions gallery displays not precisely something HTTPS:

    https://extensions.Apple.com/

However, I use three different browsers in my more modern OS X in the last Macintosh. Most

sites that support HTTPS or have their page so addressed, just works. Tests of others to see

If they actually have a second page that could be safer, can be a different matter.

    In any case good luck!

  • Message "Connection not secure" HTTPS when you view the yahoo mail website in firefox

I have a recurring problem with the yahoo mail page reported that the HTTPS connection is not safe. The Green lock becomes gray with yellow padlock symbol as soon as I open an email.

    He reports that:
The site contains content that is not safe.

I can see Web site to yahoo mail on IE without problem, but all too so I have zero problems with any other HTTPS site seen via firefox.
It seems that there is some specific problem with yahoo mail on firefox and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem.

I played a bit with turning off Add ons, no effect.

Hello, this will result in emails that integrate the content loaded via a connection http (as an image). the gray lock with the yellow warning always means that the data that you view and enter the site are secure and only passed on to yahoo. Firefox may be more proactive you warning about it than other browsers.

You can also configure firefox to block the loading of http-elements such as images in another way encrypted https-site - then the Green lock should always stay in place on your mail:
enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named security.mixed_content.block_display_content. Double-click it and change its value to true.

  • The 42 version show HTTPs EV for youtube

I've upgraded to version 42 of the previous version and now I see https://www.youtube.com displayed as no extended validation (green lock display) where as shown in the previous version of the same site youtube as a registered association. -Why this change occurs with the new version of Firefox?

I think I understood. the former website of mozilla on the lock icon is no longer applicable to the new Firefox version 42. All https connections are represented by an icon of green padlock but the EV is represented by a green lock over the name as "mozilla foundation (US)" all illustrated in green with the paadlock.

There should be a section of the documentation for the new icon of representations that the 42 version now offers.

  • Supported HTTP/2 trailers

HTTP/2 project-14 section 8.1. allows a frame to headers optional ("trailers") following frames of DATA in the HTTP request and response.

    https://Tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-httpbis-http2-14#section-8.1

This is necessary to support the implementations as Smoc in the browser (and future protocols built on HTTP/2).

Firefox does support HTTP trailers or just ignore them? Thank you.

Hi Alexander_Litus, I asked in the channel developer for the network component this topic...
apparently trailers are not supported now in firefox (or rather ignored) - they not get read in order to maintain the appropriate State in the compressor of the header, but then they are simply thrown away.

  • How to determine which software performs HTTPS scanning?

In my work computer, Firefox has always gives the error "sec_error_unknown_issuer" and only on HTTPS sites.

I browsed the forums and understood that it is most likely caused by software that scans of HTTPS. (See [this] (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1030927) and [this] response (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1026631#answer-650916))

However, I don't really know what software is running exactly the HTTPS protocol scan.

Is it possible that I can determine what software did the sweep of HTTPS so that I'll be able to add its certificate to Firefox and so be able to use Firefox properly?

Thank you very much in advance

    Concerning

Apparently, the proxy server that uses the KFSCaRoot certificate (which does not much research) is imperfect if it allows some sites around.

Try using Chrome for this next step, which is to display and export the certificate signature, assuming that you trust little matter it is to read all your traffic.

    Export

    • Open a secure chrome site and click on the padlock icon in the address bar. Click Connect to find the link to display the certificate.
    • In certificate Chrome display, switch to the Certification Path tab, click on the cert you want to export and use the button view the certificate to open directly. (This isn't the site's certificate, but the certificate used by the proxy to sign certificates fake site.)
    • Click on the Details tab, and then click the Copy to file button. This will start the Export Wizard. Use the DER format and save to a convenient location.

    Import

    • In Firefox, open the Certificate Manager using the: button menu '3-bar' (or Tools menu) > Options > advanced > mini-onglet Certificates > "view certificates" button.
    • Click on mini - the References tab, then on the 'Import' button and find the DER file. Note: I suggest allowing the certificate for Web only, unless your IT suggests otherwise.

I enclose a few screenshots for reference, obviously not with your actual proxy...

    It work?

  • How to prevent the FF loading all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol

FF is trying to load initially all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol, including of mozilla.org. Then I get the error of no reliable connection of course. Mozilla .org is the "invalid security certificate" and "the issuer of the certificate is unknown." I tried to delete the file cert8.db as suggested elsewhere but that did not help. If there is an option for this somewhere, I can't find it. I have the latest version of FF and Win7 running. Thanks for the help.

There must be some sites that are still using a secure connection, as http://www.amazon.com/. If even a link to Amazon is redirected, you can check if you have an extension like HTTPS Everywhere.

For Mozilla sites, Yes, you establish a secure connection.

But you shouldn't get certificate errors! When you get this for virtually all secure sites, the problem is usually as follows:

    (1) error of date, time, or time zone who throw checks validity of the certificates of your system. Sometimes allowing to use a timesource on the internet, the computers can introduce this problem.

    (2) not be set up to work with your security software that intercepts and filter secure connections from Firefox. Products with this feature include Avast, BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky; AVG has a shield search function which can cause this error on search sites.

    (3) malicious software on your system for the interception of secure connections.

    So... who is?

If you have any of these specific security products, which would be the first thing to check. We might be able to help with specific next steps based on what you have if you tell us.

Alternatively, you can examine the certificate to which Firefox is opposed to see if the issuer information pointing to the culprit. Take for example my test page:

    https://jeffersonscher.com/RES/jstest.php

You should see a section "I understand the risks" in the page. If you expand this section, you will find a button Add Exception. You don't need to complete the process of adding an exception (I suggest not adding one until we know that it is not a problem of malware), but you can use the dialog box to display the information that makes Firefox suspicious.

Click Add an Exception, and then view. If the view is not enabled, try first the button get certificate. Then in the certificate Viewer, refer to the section "issued by". What do you find here, or under the hierarchy of certificates? I have attached a screenshot for comparison of screen.

40 Firefox no longer displays the login prompt of authorization basis for a framed page that is hosted on a different server. This is to protect you from accidentally giving your credentials for the external page for an attacker.

One solution is to use the page framed directly, but if you prefer to disable this new protection, there is an option to do so. Of course, please be wary of this guest appearing on other sites.

Firefox 40 change something that affects authentication: is no longer, it appears a name of user and password dialog box to prompt for credentials for embedded resources if they are hosted on a different server. These can include a framed page, an external script or an image, for example.

If you right-click on the error page, "This frame" appears on the menu? If so, who might follow and Open Frame in a new tab to see if it is hosted on a different server? If you reload the page without frame, it works normally?

If you are unable to work around the problem by unframing page, you can undo the change as follows. Of course, please be wary of this guest appearing on other sites where it can be to get you to reveal your credentials to another site.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

Hmm, I noticed that your Firefox identified herself as the beta of Firefox 41, 64-bit version. You would have better luck with the current version, which is Firefox 40, 32-bit (which of course is running on Windows 7 64 bit). You want to try it?

  • We operate in a very restricted DNS environment and sites with a signed wildcard SSL download is very slow, so how turn off all controls and keep HTTPS?

If we use a self-signed certificate, we could add an exception. But we use a DigiCert Wildcard certificate. Our sites use a DNS very small with maybe a dozen of the URL for which a name points to an IP address. When Firefox is used to access our sites over HTTPS it is slow and often does not drink serving error messages on the security of the site. I think it's because he needs to verify the certificate or revocation. We do not have this problem using HTTP. I disabled 'OCSP request', but it did not help.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

So, I have a solution for this, but I consider ideal.

Our certificate provider utilizes both URLS resolve to a single IP address to validate certificates. Adding restricted these records to our DNS solves the problem. However, IPs addresses change from time to time and each site would have to be updated if that happened.

Ideally, it would be nice if Mozilla would add a white list or 'trust' option to Firefox.

    Thank you.

  • Https (sec_error_unknown_issuer) sites display problem

Lately, I have upgradet Windows 8.1 to 10. First of all, it seemed all right.
But when I opened Firefox and wanted to open Google.com I got sec_error_unknown_issuer error.
First of all, I cleared my cache. But it did not work after that. So I uninstalled Firefox and installed it again.
The error message is still there.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Many users are updating their security software or activate the parental control during or shortly after their upgrade to Windows 10 and Firefox may need to be put in place to work with these changes.

Using Avast, BitDefender, ESET or Kaspersky Security software?

If not, could you try to disable the parental controls from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/turn-off-microsoft-family-settings
