hum

I have a HP pavilion a6600f desktop pc. Recently, he has begun to hum a little noise. It will disappear after about 5 minutes and may or may not return for 8-10 hours. Sometimes, more often and sometimes less frequent. At the same time I was able to lightly tap the top of it and it stopped. Any ideas of what can be the problem?

Hello ajay225, sometimes when a system becomes dusty/dirty they will exhibit a noise of the fans because of the accumulation of dust/dirt.

You could try to unplug the power cord and remove the side panel and clean the inside of the case, paying particular attention to the entire radiator/fan of the CPU and case fans.

You can acquire some canned compressed air and blow out dust/dirt of all about the inside of components. I suggest you take the outside system of the House to do so, because there will be some dust that may come from the system.

Make sure that you hold the case fans and the processor fan if you blow compressed air to clean. These fans can be damaged if they are allowed to run at a higher speed that they were designed to operate at.

    It's perhaps Backlight Inverter?

Pushing the monitor from back with the hand will be stifle this noise a little more.

    Maybe it's the resonance?

I don't know that it's NOT in internal speakers.

The monitor settings are in default factory State.

So, how can I or solve you the problem.

This affects the life expectancy of the monitor?

    Hello!

I was now at the bottom of this problem. And what I realized:

Problem: Hum / hum of HP (19-24 inches?) (models > 2008?) wide 'surface of mirror' screen.

Figure users: Brightness level that affects his 'pitch '.

This sound source: Inverter power and backlight (coil vibrance).

Question: Condenser filter bad or streamers or both.

Solution: HP will not fix this monitor but they will send you a brand newwarranty.

DIY solution: Fast: spray called "transformative varnish" to mount components close to the PCB so no vibration of the coil is possible. Best: Replacement of components (capacitors / coils). Warranty canceled if the varnish is used or components replaced or even follow removed case.

So call him directly if warranty HP support on the left. Otherwise, try a local tv repair shop or do-it-yourself (diy).

  • Taken helmet Mac Mini internal hum but works fine

My Mac Mini made headphones humming internal but works very well. The hum is not constant. When I boot it is quiet so if I play a sound in ANY format or any program that there is a strong buzz that starts and the kind of "" did ramp up the tone. If I stop then the sound of the source of the hum lasts almost exactly: 30secs and then all stops. Again, it is only through the headphone jack, the Interior is fine and works as usual.

I had plugged in a new audio line just before it happened... I wonder about a failure/problem of grounding. I have also used an IO just before Scarlett and the audio output. It is no longer connected.

I have "waved it a little" cleaned, tried headphones and speakers, disconnect the power source and replaced by another source and of course turned on again with and without the connected headphones.

It is a Mac Mini from 2012.

    Thanks for any help.

Could be a ground loop in your power connections. Try unplugging all unnecessary devices in power and to change the socket where the Mac is connected

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When the last time it was working fine?
    3. What is the file format of the recorded narration?

  • Random loud humming?

I had a problem with this here and since the night (30/05/12) last, turn of my computer has been humming along rather loudly at seemingly random intervals. Like one of the fans or something but ive checked the fans and they seem good. Would be - this snoring loud attack any by some type of spyware or malware or virus? Or is it something like my hard drive gets old. Ive had the computer for about five years, and it is at what age the hard drive.

    Hello

A humming noise is probably material especially if the noise comes from the case. If the problem is related to the hard drive then I would recommend backing up data as quickly as possible. I suggest you to connect with the site of factory equipment and download a hard disk diagnostic test. I also recommend that clear the system of dust with canned like that air could cause problems with the fans, heat and material failure.

  • A loud hum from the speakers continues to worsen

The hum of my speakers seems to be getting progressively stronger. When it is docked, I have to turn the volume down when I'm not playing anything because the buzz is strong enough to be stressful. When undocked it's a similar situation, only because the speakers are not as strong as those additional that I use when the machine is anchored, it is less noticeable.

I recently had overheating problems and the local store open my folder, he blew and put a little heat absorbing dirt on the fans. Overheating is no longer a problem. However, it seems that the buzz has gradually increased since then.

I'm sketchy on the diagnosis and repair of the computer. I wonder if I have a problem of fan, a sound card problem, a software problem or a "it is time to sell this laptop and get a new" type of problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

I must have forgotten the DSL model number on it. You got the Z61p, which produces a lot of heat because of the T7xxx and FireGL GPU.

I think the problem you are experiencing right now, is due to the Gourio, so please know more about what they were doing.

In addition, your internal microphone is turned on? If it is putting out of service.

    Hello

For a few days, my Inspiron 17R 7720 SE with Windows 8.1 has had problems with the audio from all sources (Media Player, youtube, games, etc.) often gel/hum/stuttering, as often as every minute for a second or two. I thought that this could be a problem with my power cable, but sometimes stack too. I've installed every update (including optional) and even disabled/enabled audio, but I still get this problem. Thank you for your help and your review!

I had the same problem as you.  What fixed it for me was uninstall the Dell "Agent SupportAssist". Something has increased with the update that caused this problem to happen.
