Inspiron N411z / 14z stuttering-hum

A stuttering buzz that interrupts / audio breaks only started this week and that seems to happen every 60 seconds or more whenever I play audio or video w / audio.

I have installed McAfee and clear improvements in the speaker/headphone setting nothing helped.

I really need a practical and quick solution and which is understandable for a non computer guy!

Solution: I uninstalled help Dell Support Agent - I started to see notifications for her that I had not seen before at the same time that the buzz has begun, and now the hum is gone and I have not missed audio return...

Other forum posters have noticed this also, see: en.community.dell.com/.../19618183

  • Stutters audio during media playback all the

    Hello world

This problem seems to have been haunts many people - I read this days, but everything I've found are unresolved threads.
During multimedia playback - who is watch videos stored on my hard disk, streaming from youtube, listen to music on my hard drive and streaming music on the net - my sound triggers or stutters for a fraction of a second. A bit like a record jump. It happens every 20 seconds or more. It is therefore impossible to enjoy movies and music, but my main concern is recording.
I've updated my edge from the website sound card driver Dell as well as card external sound (Line 6 KB37) that I use for recording. Stuttering product regardless of the sound card I have cross so I doubt that it is a driver problem, although I'm not gifted in computer science so I could be wrong. I tried to disable all the sound improvements but that becomes me anywhere I spent the last two days that I wanted to use record new songs to scouring the web for answers and I found nothing that works.
I use a Dell Inspiron 1545 age of 2 years with 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. 4 GB of ram and a Pentium Dual - Core CPU. T4300 2.10 GHz, 2.10 GHz.
Any ideas what I can do? This has worked well in the past and only recently begun trolling. What other information can I provide to facilitate this? Virus tests reveal nothing, not even in safe mode. I just defragmented it, ran CCleaner and Temp File Cleaner and I'm completely stumped.
Thanks in advance for your help, I'll watch this space and pass on any info you may need on my system.
    See you soon,.

    Justin,

We discussed the same here: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517/t/19412524.aspx?PageIndex=3 and we found the solution to the problem, it seems that MS Update wants to install an "optional update' - storage - Intel Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller (until June 2011). But Intel has a more recent version updated to: Intel® Rapid Storage Technology, here:http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2101&DwnldID=20215&lang=eng&iid=dc_rss and after having removed the Updated MS a and replaced by Intel (Second link here). The problem has been resolved and no more stuttering, hum at all. I did a wipe full hard drive, Format and Fresh install of Win7 Home Premium x 64, and it fixed my problem too. I ignore MS Update for it and installed the Intel One rather after reformat and fresh install, just to make sure that it doesn't happen. So two options to see if you get as your fixed. Good luck to all.

    Thank you

  • Satellite L750 - suttering her vibrator trolling during multimedia playback

OK, I bought this refurbished Satellite L750/L755 and Ive had for almost 2 months now.

Ive been implemented with this problem so far because everything I tried initially had no effect.
So now im coming straight on the toshiba forums in the hope of a solution.

OK so as the subject line says there is a problem during multimedia playback. Any media. YouTube streaming, DVDs, games etc. It is difficult to describe what is happening over a stuttering / hum, which seems trolling for about a second and then again be well.

However this can happen anywhere up to 10 times in a single song on YouTube. But it is not localized to the sound. As the sound lags, made the video, but not to the same extent.

The video is usually stops and then cut off after. The sound seems just stuck to the second, the last buzz he played.

Another thing I noticed was that the buzzing, accompanied each time a huge spike in my CPU usage. sometimes at 100%. but the task mannager shows nothing by using the CPU at these moments there.

So now to the solution and what I tried

While I was shopping I noticed that - Dell - owners seemed to have a similar problem which was caused by a pilot defective in fast Intel storage system files, but I have installed that it couldn't have been.

I noticed that Toshiba had released new drivers for a problem similar to that caused by the Atheros WLAN card, which has my laptop. I did download and try this driver, but that the problem online but also offline, I thought this might be a longshot. of course, I was right.

If anyone can help I would really appritiate it.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

    > Another thing I noticed was that the buzzing, accompanied each time a huge spike in my CPU usage. sometimes at 100%. but the task mannager shows nothing by using the CPU at these moments there.

I think that's the key, it looks that this buzz seems due stressed CPU.

  • Update the bios of the DELL laptop under ubuntu

    Hi all.

    I have a dell inspiron N411Z (or N14z).

I installed portable ubuntu 12.04 as a single operating system on the computer. Current kernel is 3.2.0 - 30, gnome 3.4.2.

Are the details of my BIOS: A02 19/10/2011

I opened a session in the DELL support web page, and after giving my serial number, I was redirected to the following web page: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/gr/en/grdhs1/ServiceTag/ maintain the label removed by privacy policy >

As you will see, there is a new update for my BIOS, namely A05 19/04/2012, however is a ".exe" file and therefore cannot be used with Microsoft windows operating systems.

I'd appreciate very much if you will guide me in the process step by step how to upgrade the BIOS of my laptop said, because the operating system is linux - ubuntu 12.04.

For your info, my laptop is certified ubuntu: http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201106-8252/

    Thank you.

As I opened this thread, I'll you know how I managed to update my BIOS.

First of all, I think that since the update of the BIOS is a very sensitive issue (taking in mind that if something is wrong you can brick your laptop), the best way to do this is to follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly. Since there is no official record for the use of linux, it is advisable to use the .exe for windows file.

So, I managed to find a way to actually update my BIOS through windows without installing windows.

    What you need:

    (1) a 32 bit windows7 installation. On another PC or even install via Virtual Box. (In fact, I installed win7 via the virtual machine. I found the iso of win7 from google. I don't have not had to save windows as they give you a period of 30 days of grace and we have actually windows for 5 minutes).

    (2) a USB stick with at least 1 GB of space

    (3) the right bios.exe file that we get from the manufacturer's web page.

    (4) a specific dll file. In my case it was oledlg.dll.

    (5) a blank CD.

    Step 1.

We start windows and create us a rescue disk from windows7.

    Step 2.

Format us the USB drive in FAT32.  We copy and paste all the files within the USB rescue disk.

Let's open up command prompt and we follow the following sequence of commands to make the USB bootable:

DiskPart (it turns at the diskpart prompt)

listdisk (he will give the list of available disks)

Select disk 2 (you select the USB stick drive. In my case it was the No2. Be very careful during this step).

list partition (it lists the partitions on the usb key. It will be only 1 since we have just formatted it).

Select partition 1 (we choose the partition)

Active (make us active or bootable)

    Step 3

We open the USB and we create a file called BIOS. Inside this file, we put the bios.exe that we need, as well as the dll we need. In my case it was oledlg.dll. I found it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?oledlg

    Step 4

We start the PC from the USB port. In case your PC doesn't have an option to boot from USB do via Plop Boot Manager CD.

Windows will start loading, you choose the language and you will get a window titled "system recovery options". Choose the first option «use of tools of recovery...» "and click Next.

On the new window that opens, choose the last option named "command prompt". The command prompt opens. Type the following commands pressing on enter after each one:

c: (it replaces the C, i.e. the drive usbstick letter guest).

BIOS CD (it changes in the BIOS file, we have created)

BIOS.exe (he runs the bios.exe file we downloaded from the manufacturer's website to update our BIOS).

I hope that the BIOS window will open and you just follow the options to update your Bios. In my case I had to restart twice. In this case must boot from USB as well the second time.

That's how I updated my BIOS of N14Z of Dell from A02 to A06.

    Notes:

-It is without saying that I take any responsibility in case something goes wrong with your laptop. I said just above how I did it in my laptop

-In case you have a friend who uses windows you can kindly ask him to use his computer for 5 minutes to create the rescue disk and the updated use the stick (without having to install windows on VB). I just had to mention the VB option to tell you how to do 100% on your own.

-Regarding the dll file: when I was experimenting with all the above, the first time that I actually run the bios.exe file in the command prompt I got an error message that the oledlg.dll is missing. So I found it via google, added even within the BIOS file and then the bios.exe work fine. In your case, it can ask another dll or dll. Act accordingly.

  • Driver webcam has been removed from the Dell computer and now am unable to fix it.

    Original title: Webcam Dell problem

    Hello

I have laptop Dell Inspiron N411Z. Dell did not provide users with any webcam device drivers and windows update does not install the drivers by itself. In addition, it happened that windows update installed the driver webcam last time and webcam works for two days after that I don't know how but the driver has been removed, or I don't know exactly what happened.

If call us Dell they ask us to install Dell central webcam which has nothing to do with driver (I don't know what kind of support they have).  If there is no driver Dell webcam central does nothing.

I don't know exactly how it goes, but if windows update installs the driver which means driver exists. If anyone would be able to send me or give me a link to the Dell webcam driver?

I hope that Microsoft would be able to help me with this. I tried what you might think. I installed windows several times. There is no imaging device in Device Manager in case someone wants me re-install the drivers that I said before windows ever installed the drivers. I just need an .exe file that runs my webcam.

    Dell Inspiron N411Z

    Webcam part number: T3NPC

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jeet,

This problem is usually caused due to hardware or driver related issues. As you mentioned, I was not able to find all the drivers for the webcam. But I've seen threads in which he asks customers to install the Webcam Central software. I suggest the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try the procedure described in the following Microsoft Help article and check if that helps. This article consists of the steps to use a webcam.

See the following Microsoft Help article to learn more about the use of a webcam.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-webcam

    Method 2:

As tech Dell mention of the support team, try to reinstall the Webcam central software and check if the problem persists.

Step 1: To uninstall the Dell webcam central software, perform the following steps:

    a. Click Start.

    b. click Control Panel.

    c. using the drop down next to the opinion of: in the upper right, select large icons.

    d. click on programs and features.

    e. click Dell Webcam Central.

    f. click on uninstall.

    g. confirm uninstallation by clicking OK.

    h. Once uninstalled, restart the computer.

Step 2: Check out the link next to the Dell forum to reinstall the webcam drivers.

    ftp.us.dell.com/.../Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam%20SW%20RC1.1_%20R230103.exe

    Method 3:

Try to update the drivers BIOS of the computer manufacturer's website and check if the webcam works.

See the following article from Microsoft Help to update a driver.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.

  • Hum/stuttering/freezing on Inspiron 17R 7720 Windows OS 8.1

    Hello

For a few days, my Inspiron 17R 7720 SE with Windows 8.1 has had problems with the audio from all sources (Media Player, youtube, games, etc.) often gel/hum/stuttering, as often as every minute for a second or two. • Inspiron 14z N411Z undesirable & quot; Auto & quot; Brightness adjustment

I just got my second inspiron 14z N411Z. One was sent back because of some loose rattling around inside the case and because the light would change randomly. Although my new replacement doesn't have any spare parts, it has the same problem of brightness. While some sites Web, the brightness will automatically change slightly. If it's not a huge change in brightness as using the actual brightness controls, just to be annoying.  This adjustment is not random, as happens only on some websites or parts of some Web pages. If I'm on weather.com and scroll to the middle of the page, the screen will noticeably dim itself three notches. If I scroll up, however, he goes back to its original luster. It's almost as if there is a setting of the auto brightness depending on what you are viewing.  It is a normal characteristic of these monitors, or received another lemon? If it's a feature, I'd love to tun it took off.

    Thanks for any help,

    John

It's an Intel graphics framework that should be modified for maximum performance. You can find this setting by going to control panel, power options, change the parameters of plan, advanced to change power settings, graphics settings intel. Change the power for maximum performance plan, and this should solve your problem.

  • Dell Inspiron 14Z 5423 windows 10 start-up questions?

    Hello

I've updated my laptop (inspiron 14Z 5423) to windows 10 July 29. After the upgrade, wifi wifi settings and options don't appear in the settings menu. I tried to run the dell diagnostic tools but all results are reported as 'past' (how could it happen?..) and I thought it might be due to driver problems and tried to re - install the wifi drivers. to my surprise, I couldn't find the drivers on the dell site and after making "detect label service for the driver update." ... He says that drivers are up to date.

So... after the disappointment full... I have restored my OS on windows 8.1 and everything worked fine. Once August 1st... a menu jump on my cell phone saying... .your laptop computer is good to upgrade as the team tested DELL and no sign of any problems... blah blah. I thought that maybe this time the upgrade can run and updated my OS... and again disappointed to notice that wifi has not detected in windows 10. .the without option... I tried the "Reset" option in windows 10 to clean install.

This time wifi worked and I am happy and 'sound' has not detected. Yet once ran all the dell diagnostics... all the results show 'passes '. Tried to download the dell sound card drivers... dell site but I could not see anything in the site

When running the tests in the start menu... I met error blue screen and then my laptop could not start and I heard only 3 beeps?

Tried to reset the button located under the latoptop... but no use. All other users 14Z facing the same issue?

    Hi douglas,.

Has your laptop it guaranteed? If yes you can call support technique dell to repair the laptop

    sgasrock

I think I have a possible solution to replace the cmos battery. Since I have no warranty and most of the tech people say outright what chipset or motherboard failure. Please open the youtube link and find a 'James C' comment that says it fixed 3 beeps changing a cmos battery

    www.YouTube.com/watch

I propose this solution... only if you have not guaranteed, and besides I thought to change the cmos battery after purchase

  • Dell Inspiron 14z Wi - Fi connectivity issues

I have a brand new Ultrabook Dell Ispiron 14z.  I keep having problems with Wi - Fi connectivity.  I can use the Ethernet connection very well, but when I try to connect to the Wi - Fi I'm getting no access or limited connectivity.  I have other devices and laptops that work very well on the same Wi - Fi networks.

Help, please.  I hope that I don't have to send the laptop back but if Wi - Fi does not work it sort of defeats the purpose.

    Thank you

    Dave

I bought the laptop series Inspiron 5000 14 at costco, a week ago. I have problems to major wifi adapter, which if you look at the thread on the community support forums, seems to be a design flaw with the location of the wifi radio models in this (and a few other Inspiron).

    See: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-internet-wireless/f/3324/t/19589278

This is a showstopper for me and I'll return the laptop to Costco as soon as POSSIBLE. I'm looking at a similar replacement machine (non-Dell) and found a decent deal at Best Buy for a Toshiba Satellite 14 '' touchscreen with similar specs as the Dell.

    http://www.BestBuy.com/site/Toshiba-Satellite-14-touch-screen-laptop-Intel-Core-i5-6GB-memory-750gb-hard-drive-satin-gold/6128128.p?ID=1219191185727&skuId=6128128&St=i5&CP=1&LP=3

I hope this helps others who are considering this phone or who bought this laptop to understand the issues with the Intel Dual Wireless 3160 adapter. This is not an incident isolated - just do a search on google for 'wifi dell inspiron 5000 14 problems' and there are many stories of customers with similar problems.

Shame on you Dell to put out such a piece under the normal material. I'm not impressed.
