• Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 to 11.1.2.2 applications Migration

  We need to migrate a Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 to a 'classic' Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.2 application application. Why classic? Because we don't see the need to have an application of EPMA.
  
  We are not quite sure of the procedure. Can you please help me check the steps?
  
  1 save the relational tables of demand in the 9.3.1
  2 backup essbase objects (rul, otl, CSC, rep)
  3. install EPMA 11.1.2.2 in a new server, including a new instance of sql server.
  4. create a new application database name and connection and apply a 'create', ' create a new request of planning on version 11 ensure that the admin is the same name as your old 9.3 planning app.
  If the admin of your 9.3 planning takes a native user and not the system default hyperion (account = admin) admin then
  'Go into the database for the planning tables app and HSP_USERS table, store the value of the user 50001 SID' JohnGoodwin:
  Re: upgrade planning 9.3.1 to 11.3
  
  5. stop services to stop the application.
  6 restore all relational tables of the 9.3.1 application (step 1) in the application only (step 5).
  7. change in the application of database XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  9. copy of objects (step 2) except otl.
  10. export the data of the 9.3.1 and import data from 11.1.2.2 application.
  
  So I guess this we will have a new Hyperion Planning application in 11.1.2.2 with contour, web forms, to-do lists, etc.
  Other questions:
  • Is it feasible? Or I need to first import a 11.1.1.3 planning application instance? And then from there move to a 11.1.2.2 instance?
  How can • what business rules, I import them at calc Manager, which is simple operations?
  • What security? What do I need to create security groups and users to the SSP before step 6.
  • All of the warnings?

• Hyperion Planning - display of security filters

  Hello Oracle Hyperion Planning gurus,

  I have a question. I have two applications Hyperion Planning. I've been editing filter security for users and have found an inconsistency.

  In one application, the user name is present as a given name + family name, and in the other application, the user name is displayed as user name.

  I tried to be consistent and change the view, but I wasn't able to find anything.

  Is there a setting for this option?

  I installed Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3 on linux 32-bit and trying to create my first application.  I have validated my datasources and uses the wizard to create my first sample application.  When I click on create, I get an error and inside the /home/oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/EPMSystem/servers/EPMServer0/logs/Planning_WebApp.log error is:

  Error running query SQL_ADD_ACTIVITY_LEASE with parameters [1, 1138881444, 11:01:27.0 2014-07-06] []

  java.sql.SQLException: ORA-08177: can't serialize access for this transaction

  Is it because a certain table is locked and I need to unlock it in the comic book? Any idea would be appreciated.

  I think that you can be referring to the following parameter - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/planning_admin_11122300/ch06s04s09.html
  If you have several forms that are opened in the workspace it can invalidate the cache from the earlier form, if you go back to the previous shape and save an error can be generated, with the configuration property it is possible to set the number of forms that can be cached.
  I think that this always refers to multiple instances of an open in the workspace and not planning adf application.

  Two methods are pretty much the same thing, LCM is fine in the latest versions, and you have more control over the artifacts that you want to export/import.

  I agree you must guide far using scripts calc for the planning of apps, well, if you have a night or more processes not requiring variables, then they can be useful.
  You have the choice of the classic original way of the rules by EAS and calc Manager to version 11, both you can assign a user/group level security.

• Hyperion Planning security - updates to the ODI

  I have two or three dimensions in planning where security has been implemented and I need to update the members of low level (level 2). If I delete all the members of the security will be lost.
  
  Is there an option to remove all the members of level 2, reload them (with modifications) and then rebuild the dimension with Level2 members who all located on the existing ground floor (level 1 - parent)?

  Planning in ODI adapters are not designed to maintain security, you must export security using the exportsecurity utility to plan first, update your members and then load the security using the imporsecurity utility.

  If you cannot log into the planning, the application via the workspace with hypadmin it is a problem of commissioning, check that the provision of Shared Services, was this a migrated/updated application up-to-date, if she was and commissioning is correct, then it might be useful to run the updateusers utility.

  Repeat the process for all the access permissions.

• Hyperion planning and EAS console is unable to connect Server Essbase

  We had essbaae in active/passive cluster and the environment was ssl is activated.

  Recently, we removed the ssl configuration

  Now, we are not able to connect to the planning and the Regional service console essbase Server

  Have no problem connecting to essbase maxl or view smart server. We were also able to import into fdmee essbase.

  If you are able to connect to the server of Maxl Essbase.

  1. I suggest you to take a look at the Source of data for planning application. Since it is an Active/Passive with SSL configuration URL would now

  For applications in non-unicode mode, type script and plan worksheet names should be maximum 8 characters. But your artifact (FSTSOCT13) is to have 9 characters. Test by renaming the name of the script.

  And come to the rejected members, you are facing this problem only with the members of the entity? You are able to import other members of the standard dimension?

  Have you changed the destination application name or database name?

  Take a look at the following support doc - ' java.io.InvalidClassException: com.hyperion.planning.HspException' reported when attempting to return a genius Hyperion Planning data warehouses (ID of Doc 1378423.1).

  I've seen usually the error when the username/password of planning name is either incorrect in ODI or has no administrative privileges

  We also tried to use RKM Essbase Module, and the result was the same.

  Is there a problem because Installation of the ODI has been conducted by FDMEE?

  The port is not correct, the port must be the RMI port, which by default is 11333
