• Options of FDM and Hyperion Planning Mapping

  Hi, good day
  My team has an implementation of FDM and Hyperion Planning worm 11.1.2. We essentially use foot-and-mouth disease, because we need a place to keep the mapping tables different (friendly) to the dimensions of accounts, to be able to load the data.
  
  My questions are; When loading the data, we should always map sizes? Is it possible to avoid it?
  
  For example, in the model, we have 300 accounts, 20 entities and 400 products. We need to map accounts because they are different for all entities (in the source data), but not products. That is why I want to avoid mapping products (and maintain this mapping) when loading the data. Is this feasible? Any ideas?

  Only you can do that, if you need to your dimension product to identify the data point in your application target, it must be active and must therefore be sought.

• Pierce of FDM Hyperion Planning

  I use FDM to load the data into the Hyperion Planning application. I am able to load the data successfully.
  
  But in shape cells planning I am unable to see Pierce option, are there any settings that need to be changed?

• How to integrate HFM with Hyperion Planning?

  I was wondering how we integrate between the HFM and Hyperion Planning?

  I'll use HFM to consolidate different companies and then I'll use Hyperion Planning at the consolidated level generated by the HFM.

  But I don't know how does this technically happen? We use the FDQM to collect the data from different sources and to consolidate in the HFM? I can't find what is the backend of the HFM... I read somewhere that it is not based on essbase... so please advise.

  And so, how connect the HFM planning or it will load the HFM data to plan the Hyperion/essbase?

  Please tell us in this integration as I am confused in it.

  There are several ways to extract data from HFM and loading of planning/Essbase.

  Some options are ODI, Extended Analytics (now export data), EPMA, EAL data synchronization (even if it was only Essbase)

  I am interested to know the size of construction planning.

  1. What size technical construction available for Hyperion Planning 11 other than DRM, FDM and technical manual?

  2. I read in a blog this load utility contour doesnot work with Hyperion 11 x for dimesion building and "Hyperion Dimesion Library" is available in its place. Is this true?

  But we use the contour load utility to load exchange rates in our 11 version application.

  3. I worked on the ODI 10 g and 11 g with Hyperion 9 x

  Hyperion provides 11 compatible x in dimensions of building using ODI from scratch and also adding members to an existing hierarchy according to the evolution of the business?

• Hyperion Planning and Essbase

  I have a question about how essbase is related to hyperion planning.  specifically, I would like to know if you can vectorize in essbase and then associate them with or have them cross to a hyperion planning an application.  I read that if you make a change to an essbase outline, and then refresh the hyperion application applications settings, including an outline, will be replaced.  It seems that master control is integrated with EPMA or hyperion planning because all the dimension and the main lines of work needs to be done here.  However, it seems to me that there may be times where you want everything works on and change the contour in essabase and have changes go through the application of EPMA, because it's maybe easier.  Is this true and if so, how do the changes so that they appear in the hyperion application that was created by EPMA.

  The flow is planning for Essbase, it cannot be reversed.

  If it's a planning request EPMA then the stream is EPMA > planning > Essbase

  I am very new to Hyperion Planning. My main goal is to prepare a demo for the integration of the planning of Hyperion with OBIEE (via Essbase cubes). So, I thought to install and configure the samplecode healthcare kit provided by Oracle. I managed the installation and configuration of the EMP 11.1.2.2 and everything works fine. MY OS is Windows 2008 Server R2 64 bit. But I was struck during the configuration of the application of health care on page 7 of the document provided when he asks:
  * 1. Connect to Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management workspace as an administrator.* of financial information
  * 2. Select tools, then the database connection Manager.*
  * 3. Create new connections to data source for all types of HCSamp.* plan

  Have you installed RAF and financial information, if so you should be able to connect to the workspace, go to the discovery and then selects the tools-> database connection manager.

• Hyperion Planning DataForms security access migration

  We use Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.1. We have successfully passed the DataForms to development server Usiing LCM Production, but we don't get security on DataForms. Do we usually get access security on DataForms using LCM or do I need to do any other steps to get security on DataForms.

  Just to add that if users can log on and see the shapes, then it looks like you have not migrated the planning permissions, the access permissions are not integrated in the forms.

  Yes, you should be able drill in form data that has been loaded to essbase FDM.

  Can you please tell me how to send data from Plan of Hyperion Essbase or Hyperion Planning (which is always Essbase data) of IOP? I looked in the Administrator's guide, but I'm afraid I missed where you can do. Could you please direct me to the appropriate guide?

  We don't support snapshot using MDX query command to export almost any segment of the IOP cube in a relational table. Once the export is complete, you can use Essbase loading rules for loading data in areas of interest. All these commands can be put inside a javascript or jacl command and then packaged as a script model. This script can be invoked from the IOP UI planning workshop.

• Hyperion Planning 9.3 BPMA vs classic

  We are on Hyperion Planning 9.3 (including all the latest patches). We are building a new planning application. Currently we donot have an ETL tool and it does not appear we will get for each other a few months up to what our new planning application is deployed into production. So in summary we will not have an ETL to solve the below problem.
  
  I used classical planning as an ETL tool to build my meta - data in recent implementations and have not had the chance to use BPMA. Recently, I started to get aquinted with BPMA and understand some of its benefits. However, I have a few specific questions;
  
  1. I know classical planning allows a manual creation of members, BPMA allows the same? BPMA should have flat file or table interface to create or add members? Our business users would be manual creation of some members, or for example to change the month of beginning or end of a "scenario". Thus, BPMA allows manual editing and push metadata?
  
  2. If an application is created using BPMA, they would have to interface via BPMA not classical planning and more. Is this true?
  
  3. I understand that it is possible to convert a classic application of planning in BPMA but 'NO' to vice versa. Is this true?
  
  4. Finally, a more difficult question, a more specific question that a little, dictates the choice for us.
  
  My customer wants to each Department to make their respective budgets (noting unusual there). However, most of these departments 'Project' and more specifically budget for budget based on 'Project name' (which are unique and not generic) as opposed to "Project numbers" (is not a standardization project number as yet). The challenge will be "project names" in Hyperion Planning (unfortunately it does exist not in the ERP/GL because these are new projects).
  
  Thus, although the finance team approves the budget of each Department, ultimately they like each Department would be able to create their respective names 'project' in Hyperion planning. And planning of such capabilities that support retail, etc. wouldn't work because they love resulting variance of "Names of project" and slice-n-dice from "project names.
  
  Now if we had an ETL tool above would have been simple, that I would have just created an automatism to say pickup a file with "Project Names" from a folder location is pre-determined. However, because we donot have an ETL, I was wondering if BPMA could do the same thing, i.e., in way automatic pick-up a file to a folder and create members and refresh Hyperion Planning? Could the "batch processing" in BPMA handle this?

  If you go down the road of the use of an ETL tool to integrate as a result of the EMP, so, my suggestion is ODI (Oracle Data Integrator)
  I wouldn't go too EPMA up to version 11, otherwise you'll be on here post error messages

  I understand that you use 9.3 and to prove that it is not a question of ODI, log into planning from the web, add one manually with thai characters, then refresh the application to push information to essbase, then look at the Member in EA.
