  When I tried to log into the Manager of Calc and Hyperion Planning (V.11.1.2.2) through the web URL, I get the 404 Error Messages.
  
  If I can get to Calc Manager via the workspace, but when I tried to access Hyperion Planning its launch an Error Msg: required Hyperion Planning.Application Wizard creating applications Module is not configured.
  
  I don't have the Installation/Configuration error.

• Unable to open the form and dimension on Hyperion Planning

  I'm working on Hyperion version 11.1.1.3 on my customer environment (Microsoft Windows Server 2003).
  There are two servers: one is at the database and essbase, the other is for the reporting, the Foundation and planning.
  
  Since a month ago this customer experiences this problem:
  When connect via admin user to Hyperion Planning (19000 and 8300 port can both be used), the menu on the upper part is loaded but the rest are empty.
  I tried to open the form by using the menu on the left, but also does not work, always empty. I also managed to try to open the dimension, it cannot be loaded
  restarted the service, and the server also, but does not work as well.
  
  NB: this error occurs only on the id of the admin, I tried to create another user account and give the same provision with admin, id works well, no problems and no case empty.
  
  could someone please advice what happened and the solution, I give my thanks to you.

  I've created a Hyperion planning application and validate it. It validates with an error. However, I can't open the llink validation log to view error messages. I removed the switch from the blocker in IE7. Are there other settings that I need to view the file or the journal of validation link.

  I need to save Hyperion Planning application database tables. I don't know what I need to back up the tables. Could someone share the names of tables or the docs that could help me.

  Hello Rahul,

  You must take the backup of application schema of planning instead of the planning tables.

  Hyperion 9.3.1 - 78 tables created on the back-end
  Hyperion 11.1.1.1 - 83 tables created on the back-end

  Taking the backup scheme:
  -------------------------------------
  Using export dump utility, export Oracle dump file

  c:\expdp hypapp/hypapp@hyperion dumpfile = pra.dmp

  Note: the above dump file stored in the mentioned location below
  Oracle 10g: G:\oracle\product\10.2.0\admin\orcl\dpdump\pra.dmp
  Oracle 11g: E:\app\Administrator\admin\hyperion\dpdump\pra.dmp

• Hyperion Planning crashes (ESSG_ERR_MEMORY)

  Hello comrades! I have a problem, Hyperion Planning hangs once a week. I looked at the catalina log and found something like 'exception Java Heap'. So, it's a fairly frequent problem, solution is to increase the size the Java heap through envoriment JAVA_OPTS variable max.

  So I changed it this way, after having read a few guides:

  JAVA_OPTS = "" - Xmx3584m - XX: MaxNewSize = 896 m - XX: NewSize = 896 m - XX: + AggressiveHeap ""

  Everything worked perfectly, until today. Today, many users are modifing data, so the server is loaded and crashed twice already.

  I found this message in the catalina log

  com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: ESSG_ERR_MEMORY

  I appreciate any help with this problem, and if it will be useful here my system configuration:

  Application: Hyperion Planning/Essbase 9.3.1

  Application server: Apache Tomcat 5.0.28

  Operating system: Solaris 5.10

  The error always refers to the size of a memory segment, it can occur when the main forms are open and there is not enough in the heap.

  There is also a Support Oracle doc on a similar question - "error when opening large planning form:"No Server backend available for a connection..." "" (Doc ID 789267.1).

  I'm trying to deploy the application, I created in Hyperion planning 11.1.2.1. When I click in deploying, I get the message, "Out of sync with deployment."
  
  In the window of console work, the State is displayed as "completed with errors. I tried to click the MESSAGES link under attachments to check for errors. But the window opens and closes immediately.
  
  Can someone please tell me where I can find the error logs.
  
  In addition, no idea why I'm having this error. I've validated the dimensions and has not encountered any errors.

  I'm just starting with ODI and will have some trouble, try to connect to the planning. I have looked at the documentation and still can not understand. I'll be a bit verbose in my questions, please bear with me.
  
  1. in the Manager of topology in Hyperion planning technology, I created a data source, giving it the name: port user ID and password

  in your project you imported the RKM planning? You'll need to do before the RKM is available for reverse engineering to measure.

• Hyperion Planning - invalid or did not find the configuration of the module

  I modified the essbase property file in essbase server and report as server below and restart all the services of hyperion.

  netConnectRetry = 30

  netDelay = 2000

  netSocketTimeOut = 20000

  After restarting the services, I am not able to open planning applications. I get the error message - 'invalid or did not find the configuration of the module.

  This error is straight after the restart services, usually that type of error can be caused if the jdbc connection pool is full, which shouldn't really be the case when the service starts up.

  Are you able to connect to schedule directly if? If this isn't the case, restart the new service and check if the errors are recorded.

• Urgent: Configuration of the various components of Hyperion a shared service

  Here are my requirements:
  
  We are updating our existing Version 6. X 7 X 11 Version EMP applications. I want to configure all applications installed in different servers in a shared service. All users belong to an Active directory only.
  
  Plan is like this
  
  Server1: Essbase component. I have almost 5 application created in this server.
  
  Server2: New Essbase. Again the application 5 is this server.
  
  Server3: Hyperion Planning,
  
  Server4: Hyperion Financial Reporting
  
  Server5: Hyperion workspace
  
  
  So, all these different Essbase and planning applications are installed in differnet servers. Can I have 1 Shared Service for all these applications. If so, can anyone suggest the approach and configuration details.

  I'm deployment Hyperion Planning 9.3.1. I read in many places that I need to configure a separate database for each component rather than use a single. Nobody knows the ideal of data distribution if I install the following components:
  
  -Hyperion Shared Services
  -Essbase Server
  -Essbase Administration services
  -Essbase service provider
  -Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management architect
  -Planning
  -Hyperion reports & analysis
  
  Can I configure EPMA and planning on separate databases as well? As for the configuration of data source?

  Hello

  Best practices during the installation would be to create the DB sql distinct for each of your products as follows (you don't have to follow the naming conventions)

  -SSP Hyperion 9 (hypHSS)
  -Essbase Server (without SQL repository Req'd)
  -Essbase Services Administration (hypEAS)
  -Essbase provider Services (without SQL repository Req'd)
  -Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management architect (hypEPMA)
  -Planning (hypPlanSys)
  -Hyperion Reporting & analysis (hyper)

  Remember, if you are creating applications to planning you will also need to create a db SQL distinct for the application, as well as planning SQL db.

  DataSource configurations can then raise the relevant DB.
