Hyperion Planning setting memory for web forms large

I've seen some previous post Hyperion Planning that may have errors of memory for large web forms. Any recommendation of the size limit of web form?

If we use 64-bit Windows, Hyperion Planning supports larger sized web form although it seems that Hyperion Planning application itself is still 32-bit software.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello

It is definitely a cache where many objects in the planning are cached in their current state and which is held in the JVM, this has probably been implemented to speed up the response time. I'm not sure on this 2 GB limit you keep tapes even if, as it has always been my belief that it is down to the size of the JAVA virtual machine.

  • How to set 'save for web' to 96 DPI

The new stanard for web graphics is 96 DPI, instead of 72 dpi, because the internet becomes faster and monitors become sharper. Still Photoshop affects still images at 72 dpi when you use the function "save for web". I tried and tried and can't seem to find a way to change this. Someone knows how to do this? -Chad Spillars

"A picture of dpi 7 would charge faster than a 72 dpi image because it would have a smaller file size?

No, you're always Associate CIO with the size of the file. Do not. There is no link.

DPI only relates to how you print a picture and makes no sense without thumbs (size of the document) also be specified (dpi = dots per inch of paper image how) for example 10 "x 8" @ 300 dpi.

On the web, all that matters is the number of pixels (width x height) and compression of the image: (JPG, GIF, PNG)

If you want a 300 x 300 pixels for web image, prepare the image for these dimensions, then save for Web as a JPG, GIF or PNG. Forget the DPI because it has no influence on the appearance of your image on the screen.

Just width x height, measured in pixels. The more pixels, the larger the file.

Pictures small (less than pixels) with a compression more download more quickly.

100 x 100 pixels download images faster than the images of 300 x 300 pixels, but they are smaller on the screen.

Doesn't seem to be unless you export rather than save it for the web.

  • Planning Web Form (mode Non - FAD) member selector Drop Down Format

    Hello

Looking to see if there was a solution to a question that I ask myself.

We are developing a planning system using several web forms. We recently put out ADF mode to see if that helps with stability problems we had. We've had some success with her, but our user base didn't like that the bottom of drop of Member in the POV selector became limited to only about 10 members. Also, rather than using a scroll bar to browse the available members, there are arrows on the bottom of the drop-down list that require the user to 'page' in the list of available members.

I discovered that you can view the drop as a much larger list and using the scroll bar if you hold the button of the mouse on the drop down arrow POV, then operate the cursor on the bar in the drop-down list and scroll ther carefully, but we would much prefer to have the default of downs drop to this format.

Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, there is an application setting. In the application-> Settings, then Current default Application and display settings, in the options page so a parameter called "allow to search when number of Pages exceeds" and then you can specify the selection of the page returns with a shortlist and a search feature or the ability to complete scroll. The value of the number larger than the number of members in the dimension on the page of the form

    Thank you

  • The IKM selector selection error: IKM SQL for Hyperion Planning

    Hello

On the tab 'Flow' of my model, I click on my head to target. Then on the drop down 'Selector IKM', select 'IKM SQL for Hyperion Planning. It gives the error:

Internal error: ODI-15526: IKM IKM SQL for Hyperion Planning not accepted for stage director and target technology

Any ideas? I am really new green on ODI and I am at the end to try to run my dimension build. Any help is appreciated.

You must select a transit area which is different to the planning, because this isn't an intermediate technology supported. What you need to do is to go to the tab definition of your interface tick the 'target different transit zone"and then select a relational technology (that is, one that takes supported SQL) in the drop-down list below. If you have no relational db on stage your data and then select ENGINE SUNOPSIS MEMORY which is the memory in DB that is provided as part of the ODI.

  • Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. And I would like to create web forms via Adobe for my site. What I have? or is it included in my Acrobat Professional software?

Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. And I would like to create web forms via Adobe for my site. What I have? or is it included in my Acrobat Professional software?

When you say that web forms, do you mean HTML forms or PDF forms? For web forms, Adobe has a number of products, you can use, including FormsCentral and Dreamweaver. For PDF forms, you can create them with Acrobat.

If you want to create HTML forms with FormsCentral, which calls the web forms, you will need a subscription for the FormsCentral service. The FormsCentral application that comes with 11 Acrobat is used to create local PDF forms, but if you want to create web forms with him you will need a subscription. Note that there is a free subscription, but it is quite limited.

  • Web form - text

    Hello
In my type of labor, I'm a member of account set as the text data type. In the web form, you can type anything to that Member, and it will store as a number in essbase, which is great. In the other type of plan for the same application, I just created another Member as a text data type, but when I try to type the text in this member in the web form, I get an error - invalid value. I can enter numbers very well, but the letters give an error.

Both members have the exact same properties, but we're in the workforce and the other is in plan 1, which is the only difference. Anyone know why I can't conclude letters of text type data member? Is there another setting on the web form, which must be defined?

    Thank you

    DQ

    Hello

I don't know where you're going wrong because I can't reproduce the problem, it is around the orde of the evaluation you need to put it to all types of plan, you may be using.

I created a new account member against plane1 with a data type of text
I created another account on the active population with a text data type.

Define the evaluation order counts against plan1
Attached to the order of evaluation for personal account

Created a form against plan1 and included the text member account plan1
Created a form against labor and included labour text member account.

The two forms that I could enter text against.

  • Web forms server load

    300 - 550 active sessions
    1000 - 12000 idle sessions

I wonder if a server can handle such an application? Is a better solution to JDeveloper (which has a huge cost is a huge demand) or to use a very powerful server fact? Any idea?

  • Improve the performance of web form of Hyperion Planning

    Hi all

I don't know if anyone has tried the method recommended Oracle to compress the forms used in Hyperion Planning to improve the network performance?

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E12032_01/doc/EPM.921/html_hp_admin/frameset.htm?/docs/CD/E12032_01/doc/EPM.921/html_hp_admin/hpamin-19-17.htm

Slow performance when opening data forms using a Dial-Up connection

    Scenario:

Opening a form of data using a slow network connection (for example, with a modem) takes a long time.

    Solution:

You can greatly increase the bandwidth network at the opening of the data forms by modifying the web.xml file, as described in this section. This option compresses about 90% of the data stream sent from the planning to the client server.

Note: If you are using a WebLogic application server (versions all supported) Web, fill the second procedure, which is specific to WebLogic. If you use another Web application server, follow the first, which contains general instructions.

To modify the web.xml file to improve performance, for any application except WebLogic Web server:

1 with a text editor, open the web.xml file located in HyperionPlanning.ear or HyperionPlanning.war.

2 after the tag < / description > and before the < earphone > tag, insert the following lines:

    < filter >
    < filter-name > HspCompressionFilter < / filter name > < filter -.
    Category > com.hyperion.planning.HspCompressionFilter < / class filter >
    < init-param >
    compressionThreshold < param-name > < / param-name >
    < param-value > 2048 < / param-value >
    < / init-param >
    < init-param >
    Debug < param-name > < / param-name > < param-value > 1 < / param-value >
    < / init-param >
    < / filter >
    < filter mapping >
    < filter-name > HspCompressionFilter < / filter-name >
    EnterData.jsp < url-pattern > < / url-pattern >
    < / filter-mapping >

    3. save the web.xml file.

If you use WebLogic, you must manually change the .ear file and redeploy to the Web application server.

To improve performance with a WebLogic application server:

    1. unzip the file HyperionPlanning.ear to C\:ear, for example.

    2 unzip Hyperion.war under C:\war C:\ear.

3 with a text editor, open the C:war\WEB-INF\web.xml file and change using the instructions in step 2 in the previous procedure.

4 compress the contents of C:\war to C:\ear\HyperionPlanning.war.

    5. compress the content in C:\ear in C:ear\HyperionPlanning.ear

    6. deploy the new HyperionPlanning.ear for the WebLogic Web application server.

    Hello
Yes we did it with a bank that had branches connected to a server through a dial-up line. They are complaining about the amount of data transferred between the branches and the servers. This has worked well on it and has greatly increased the performance of data transfer. However, nowadays the performance bottlenecks are usually not due to the amount of data transferred on the network, but the javascript components that need to run on the client and heavy computing/data and the report creation process.

  • Organize records form in hyperion planning by alphabetical order

Is it possible to organize the files form hyperion planning in alphabetical order? We can, and we can't if it's the only way, sort the folder names in relational tables in backend?

Or is there a way to the web planning to do the same?

I would like to know if there is a second option that I may be adding new files periodically and it will re - arrange files alphabetically each time.

    Thank you

    Pawan.

I can suggest a way. Planning takes the order in which you create files in a specific folder.

So, either you create a new folder in the order you want even under your existing folder name (give some suffix at the end). Delete the old files and rename them again.

    (GOLD)

You can try to move/rearragning under a new folder. I don't remember if it worked for me. I have a very bad memory

  • Slow opening of web form of planning

    Hi all

I have a web form which consist of 12 dimensions and shapes, I talked about the stored data members. These stored data are members of level zero in the hierarchy and the form opens fine. When I moved this data member of level 0 to level five, the form takes longer to open.

Problem: After changing a position of the Member from level 0 to level five, it takes more time to open the form. Still, he is a member of stored data and the IDescendants have a lot of members dynamic calc.

Could someone explain to me why it takes more time being a member of stored data. Thanks in advance.

If there are many members dynamic calc or member based on the dynamic Calc so maybe it takes much time to calculate them who is originally from slowing performance.

It is probably useful to have a reading of the RFSO following support for form design - Hyperion Planning data form Design Considerations (Doc ID 779502.1)

  • Looking for hosting companies with web form processing scripts

I'm a beginner when it comes to creating web pages.  I have created a website for the first time and am looking for a Web host that can provide the form processing scripts.  I'll try HostGator, but when I asked about it on their online chat, the lady who answered said that they do not have what I was looking for.  Due to technical difficulties with their online chat program, I don't have a chance to ask follow-up questions, but I had the impression that the Lady, that I was talking knew what she was talking about.

I would ask here.  It is my understanding that if you have forms on your website, you need form processing scripts to run.  Can you name of hosts which can give them?  Is this something that most web hosting companies can normally provide?  Are there any that you would recommend for someone like me who will use forms on their web site?

I think your priorities for web hosting should be based on other more important criteria - availability, services, space and affordability.

Canned scripts are a secondary issue.  Practice for beginners, Yes.  But generally UN os without any room for customization.

Not my favorite web host, GoDaddy shared Linux Web & map of classic accommodation offers 2 PHP scripts for forms of contact only.

With the help of our shippers of PHP on the Web & hosting classic form. Web & classic accommodation - GoDaddy help

If you make detailed surveys or questionnaires, you will need custom scripts that does any hosting company.   You buy or build scripts to your specifications.

What to look for in the accommodation:

    • Shared on Linux/Apache servers
    • Dedicated IP address
    • E-mail accounts
    • Allocation of storage, memory & sufficient bandwidth
    • PHP MySQL & or Maria db
    • 24/7 technical support
    • History of reliable availability

    Other optional bells & whistles:

    • C - Panel
    • phpMyAdmin
    • Database Wizard
    • 1 - click installation of WordPress & others
    • Maintenance plan
    • Free upgrades patches / security
