  I have a server I have the Enterprise Manager configuration and recovery catalog on.  I have another server I want to manage.  The part of business manager seems to work very well, I was able to start the agent on this server and promote it.  But when I create the backup job and then try and tell him to use the catalogue of recovery I get a tns error, I think it's really a problem with my firewall.  I'm trying to find out what ports I need to open for the catalog recovery and Enterprise Manager to work.  That's what I have now.

  The cost formula that you are citing the book is used to calculate the cost of access to a single table to a path indexed using a b-tree index.

  From the perspective of the optimizer, the cost of a more complex query consists of three components:
  A component of the CPU
  A component based on the number of unique block reads predicted
  A component based on the number of multiple blocks bed predicted.

  In the case of 'single table by index b-tree'-, we can assume that the CPU component is tiny (and it will be nil in any case in 8i or 9i if you have not enabled the CPU cost); and there will be no close readings. So for this path, the only component is the one-piece readings, and it's the formula gives number of Wolfgang Breitling.

  Technically, the cost of a query SO time for the query to execute measured in units strange slighltly. In 10g implementation plan makes this explicit by including a TIME column in the table of the plan; and you can see that this time column is always COST * sreadtim / 1000, where sreadtim is the time for a single block of reading as recorded, or a derivative, sys.aux_stats$.

• Manager Windows 8.1 and the HP recovery disk manager cannot remove the recovery partition

  I have the following computer: HP ENVY h8 desktop PC - 1437c.  I used the HP Recovery application to do a recovery on a flash drive disk. When you have finished this operation it was not an option to remove the recovery partition (drive D on my computer. I tried to reopen the HP Recovery Manager and try to remove it like that, but to remove it is greyed out. I also tried to delete it using the 8.1 windows Disk Manager, but there is no way to do there either. If I right click on the recovery Partition, I get only an option 'help '. How can I get rid of this partition and recover lost space using it now on my hard drive. Windows and HP did not want to provide more records with their computers, but they do not have a problem of screwing of MY hard drive that I bought and paid for. I should start to charge rent for the space.

  I just used the software and created another partition as drive D using all unallocated space. I can delete probably once again, or maybe I'll just use it as a storage device for my files instead of recovering files sofetware... Thanks for the help

  I just went through this with TAC.  They pointed out that the documentation states that you should not synchronize SFR with a virtual CMF.  I found myself defining the CMF and SFR as you pull my domain controller, and everything was fine.

  If you have a deployment of medium to high, I suggest to use a KMS server to validate the license. If you enter your MAK license and deploy several pools or in the pool even over and over again. each time Windows will activate using a new MAK license until they are all exhausted.

  We made time for Essbase right thing usually type using cash flow forecasting systems rather than planning however can accommodate this kind of customization.
