  Use the _currentframe + 55 for your next button and _currentframe-55 for your back button unless the current frame is 1 or 55 when you were unstable used 54 frames between the transitions between slides.

  I am trying to create a rollover button which, when clicked, opens a Web page in a new tab.

  I created with success of the rollover buttons and fact symbols (video clips) converted to hyperlinks, however I can't seem to make a functional hyperlink button.

  I have been using the code snippets (html5 canvas). For the last image of the scene, I have the following code:

  The problem is because your 'Watch' button is covered by objects on other layers placed on it.

  Click work, your button must be on the top layer, above the rest.

  The first piece of code you tried was actionscript 2.  If you receive all sorts of error messages which is a fair measure, that your file is configured to use Actionscript 3, mainly because AS2 is not very generous with the error messages.

  The second bit of code that you have demonstrated is the ActionScript 3, which worked because your file is configured to use AS3.  If you look at your publication, in the section Flash settings, you will see where you can select the version of your file information.

  For your labour code open the page in the same window:
