Hyperlink Office

I want to add an image of a medal on my desk. Then, I want to insert a hyperlink on the Medal, which will connect to the site that contains this medal winners.

First of all, how to place or integrate an icon for my desktop wallpaper. Second, how to create the hyperlink I want

Try to address the issue in the opposite way.

First of all, to save the Web site you wan to open to your Favorites. Now, that drag of your Favorites on the desktop or the taskbar. By clicking on the icon opens the site of your choice? Good. I knew it would be.

Now you must do the icon. I guess you have a picture of this coin you want to use as the icon in a Windows folder? Use this online tool to convert it into an .ico image.

Image Converter online free
http://www.coolutils.com/online/image-converter/

Save it to a location that is easy to remember. You can create a file in My Documents and name icons if you wish. Handy if you want to create more custom icons.

Now: right-click on the ugly icon, then select Properties. Change icon. Use the Browse button and navigate to the icon .ico, that you have created and select this as your choice.

  • IE - 8 does not display the Web Page of hyperlinks with MS Office Publisher 2003

I've created two different sites using MS-Office Publisher 2003, and they have published on the web.  They are: www.tsquarterhorses-indiana.com and www.thomassacres.com when read using the IE 7 browser fine.  All pages work and embedded hyperlinks are displayed.  I have a client who has recently upgraded to IE - 8.  When they started to get reports that the site did not work they called me.  I went on every site and checked with my IE 8 browser.  Of course, Web sites were there, but the hyperlinks and the meter did not work.  I did some research and found that IE - 8 is not compatible with Web sites created for older web browsers.  I read that you need turn on compatibility view.  I did and was able to bring the counter but not hyperlinks.  Should what program I use to create Web sites that will work 100%.

  • Mobile hyperlink goes to the site office

    I created this site - www.johnstoncharles.com

I have a desktop version, Tablet and phone.

On the version of the phone, the logo is on the master page (thus appears on all pages) is configured for the hyperlink to the home page (phone version) but when you click on it it POPs to the office site that seems wrong.

The only way to return to the mobile version is closing pages and quit safari and reopen it.

    any ideas?

    Hello

I tested your site on a mobile device. When I clicked on the logo, he remained on the mobile version only. Please delete the browser cache and cookies on your mobile phone, and then try again.

  • Print to PDF from MS Office: loss of hyperlinks that display text changed

    Greetings.

I use to Acrobat Pro. 8.1.7 and MS Office 2007.

I don't know if it's an Acrobat or a problem of MS Office or somewhere between the two.

I need to print a document in a PDF with hyperlinks Excel.

Creation of hyperlinks in Excel is no problem.

If I print to PDF (using the printer driver Adobe PDF Converter), the hyperlink appears and works in the PDF file. No problem.

But I need to change the display text of the link - instead of a URL, I need to display a name "user friendly".

    Problem.

If I change the link in Excel and change the displayed text, the link works in Excel, no problem.

But when I print to PDF link is lost.  I get pretty blue underlined text but binding information is not embedded in the PDF file.

    Problem!

I experienced and did some research, but nothing so far.

    Any ideas?

    Help!

    Thank you

    Greg

The links you see in the PDF are likely links is not difficult, but think what Acrobat are links. This is what happens when you print to the Adobe PDF printer. If you want to keep the links in the original form, you will need to use PDF Maker (or may be listed as create PDF) in Excel. The end result must be a PDF file with the links that appear in the same way as in Excel.

  • Cannot open hyperlinks in Microsoft Office programs

I have several hyperlinks in Excel and Word. When I click on it with Internet Explorer as my default, they open. When I click on it with Firefox as my default, nothing happens.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables some settings and disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you are using an additional theme, place you in default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Mode without failure of Firefox in the Help menu by clicking on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item:

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • Windows 7 and Microsoft Office installed a series of updates and now I can't open hyperlinks in emails.

Once my system has rebooted and I opened my emails in outlook, when I clicked on a hypertext link, there me no where. I don't have an error message. I went back in and make Firefox my default program with all the extensions and protocols for Firefox. However, when I click on a hyperlink in an e-mail message, it still opens not in Firefox. This little trick has IE and Microsoft is now to change my system. Until I have updated files, hyperlinks in emails open in Firefox. Help, please. I hate IE!

Windows doesn't know it should start to Firefox to open these links.
Try this first. Launch IE (yes I know) and set it as the default browser. After
Close IE. Wait a few moments, then launch Firefox. Then set FF as a default.

  • Hyperlink - particularly in MS Office errors. But even trying to connect online in the Excel menu, I got this message: "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. »

Error began yesterday, after I've deleted and reinstalled Adobe Reader software.  While at it, I also removed two other programs: browser Opera and PDF fill (a PDF Editor).  I tried the system restore of my 8/24 on-demand Restore Point - there is no twice.  I moved to my 8/23 restore point, and it failed too.

I discovered what was sick of my machine.

Opera, messed with my settings of Internet Explorer when it uninstalled, which apparently affects MS Office settings.

I read that someone had the same problem after you have uninstalled Chrome.  Like them, I reset IE as my default browser. now everything works again.  So simple, yet so frustrating.

Still bothered by the failure of system restore.

  • Office of the pen is not firefox

Regularly, I insert hyperlinks in text OO documents. New hyperlinks inserted in a get of document text error message cannot find a web browser on your system, even hyperlinks inserted in the same document (I use an old document, "" registered under "and change parts of it to create a new") still works perfectly. Using OSX 10.8.5, Firefox 40.0.3. The original document was created before the latest version of Firefox. I tried to insert a hyperlink into a new text document and it didn't work either. Swapped the default browser Safari and back to Firefox, no luck. Not sure if this is related to the update of Firefox or Open Office problem. (OO tells me to install a web browser - suggest Mozilla - or modify desktop preferences.) The latter is meaningless for me)

Welcome to all thoughts. Deadline for the next report to people who rely on external references is imminent!

    HI sandalholme,
It's strange, but ask to install a browser to open an OO document URLS. I joined where preferences are for the default browser in the General settings. Firefox is listed here?

    To reset Firefox sometimes.

Tip: If no joy, see if you can download the "fullfile" version updates via http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/ or http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/ and then manually install / them.

Tip: If still no joy, make a repair or uninstall/reinstall Office 2007.

This indicates to me that it is a problem with Quicktime.  But with the problem without access to office programs and Windows Explorer I can't uninstall it.  I can access the control Alt Delete Task Manager and open a number of things with the file as Regedit menu but no third-party program.  No way at the moment so I uninstall Quicktime.  An another quark which comes from what I saw on the internet that the Appwiz.cpl file is supposed to open programs and features to uninstall, but I don't have that on my computer or on one of two external hard drives that I use for backups.  What is the correct file to use?  If so, I wonder why it is not in my Windows folder, and why programs and features worked before without this file?
Also, I tried 4 different restore points but that did not help either, and repair the boot and repair of windows.  And can not access to Cmd.exe.
So would be grateful if someone could, initially, index me on the file suitable for we hope to open programs and features.  Also maybe the files to open the Start Menu folder and file to open the control panel.  And maybe another idea about this problem.  I could delete files QuickTime in Regedit?
Programs running in the background if they are started by themselves, otherwise I have no control.  Can go on the internet with the hyperlink at the bottom of the error message.
    Thanks for any help.

My computer has been started with a full desktop but immediately got the error windows explore hanging everything up.  Starts in safe mode with the same results.

Finally solved my problem, however.  As mentioned in my original post, I could open through Control Alt Delete Task Manager and using the menu option file could open Regedit.  Also, I could open a browser with hyperlink at the bottom of the error message.  And perhaps could have downloaded programs to help, except once downloaded, I would have no way to open and run with unavailable office.  But in the end, I deleted all entries in Quicktime using the search function.  Took about 4 hours. but when I am the way, the way down on the list when I deleted an entry Windows came into Shut Down mode.  And, Viola, after reboot everything was normal again based on the last restore point, that I had used.
Then, I finished uninstalling Quicktime with Revo Uninstaller.
I understand that some people out there are uncomfortable to play with the registry, but I did for many years, since 98, so for me it was no problem, so everyone is very careful and has a good understanding and concept of what they are doing.  I think it is the only solution to a problem like this with the exception of reinstaling Windows.  For me, it's a far last option.  And then if someone mess up the registry, they would have to reinstall anyway.
For anyone else read this and maybe one of the technicians can expand on this, you could possibly use a Ubunto Live Linnux DVD to open the user? file to edit the registry in this way, too.  Don't know if it works or not.  But too bad it does not a type program MS-DOS out there who would do something like this easier.  There may be but I don't see one.  And as I mentioned in the first post, repair, restoration and other repair startup options did not work.  As a suggestion, perhaps a repair feature that can capture error information, analyze the registry and fix it with the minimum participation of the user.
I write all this with other users in mind that will go looking for clues and find help very few experts who give you generic, non-specific responses.

    Hi scoutxlt,

I looked at this post and it seems that pretty well all you problems have been solved. Please correct me if I missed something, there are quite a few comments.

In this spirit, I will address the last post.

    1. This is a Community Forum. I'm sorry that you have only had the opportunity to deal with the moderators of Microsoft instead of some very talented people who frequent this forum and help others with questions.

    2. Windows Mail is the replacement for Outlook Express, so it works the same way. On the flip side, it also has some of the same restrictions under Outlook Express. Live Mail is a little more and, of course, the flagship that outlook does, well, darn near everything.

    3. Finally, to get your operational Outlook please go to the forum of the Office. They are the experts in this area. Here is the link.
