I am happy owner of a Toshiba Satellite and I use it for background music

I am the proud owner of a Toshiba Satellite and, above all, I use it for background music (when I play without my group). Although Watch (and listen to) my laptop (you can see on the right side of the keyboard man) made for me:
http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=xmtX3FGvZ0M

Hi, Carlo Maria

It seems that the satellite did a good job
You are a fan of the Blues? I m too! I m a fan of Blues

I play the guitar and I love the magic of the blues

In any case, it's a forum for laptop and not a forum for music and so it s not desirable to display these links in the Toshiba support forum.
Eventually the forum Admin will delete it!

However, it s a beautiful piece of music :D

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro M50 comaptible - tools for WIndows 7

    Hello world
I own Satellite Pro M50, listed as a model on the official website of Toshiba - drivers and tools provided by Toshiba are only for XP and several of them for Vista.

I installed Windows 7 32 bit and I am very satisfied with the speed of the computer now. Windows 7 was able to detect my devices (screen, usb, wifi, lan) and drivers updated successfully. Everything seems to work OK now.

    Problem is with Toshiba tools.
MasterG (to whom I am very grateful, but I have not found a way how to address him directly) advised another user with the old model (M100-221) to use PPV and Flash Card Utility Support for series L500.
    (for more details: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=57586&tstart=0)

I tried, and the utility of Support Flash Card worked. Now, I can use the Fn key.

There are also a few features Toshiba I would run: Power Saver, utility TouchPad and so on. How could I know what model has tools that could function as a substitute for my only or was it just a coincidence that it worked?

Thank you very much in advance, and greetings to the whole community of toshiba, I'm really pleased with this support forums.

    Bevo

    Hi Ben,

It of Nice to hear that you have successfully install Windows 7 successfully on your Satellite Pro M50 and you also like the forum like me. :)

    What tools you want exactly?
There are a few differences between XP and Windows 7 tools. For example, Power Saver already belongs to a package of added value, and you can find the parameters energy saver in Windows the Windows Management.

The utility of touchpad you can download other laptops. AFAIK driver Synaptics and Alps Electric should work on all models, but you need to test, I n t have Satellite Pro M50.

In addition a list of compatible tools does not for me. Just try it.
Important is that you install Windows 7 versions or at least for Vista. I think that the XP don t work tools.

    Good luck! :)

  • CPD Watchdog Violation on my Toshiba Satellite and impossible to verify updates

I had Violation Watchdog DPC on my Toshiba Satellite. It's frustrating to worm. How can I solve this problem?

    Here's my minidumps files https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=67BCFC4F8EC6B99B 107

    Hi Sheikh R,.

You seem to have two software antivirus/firewall in real-time installed, Norton and Avira which can cause stability problems.

Can you uninstall Norton and Avira and see if that helps.

For security software consider using just firewall and antivirus integrated Windows 8 (Windows Defender).

I would also uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys pilot who has been known to cause blue screen errors in some configurations.

Uninstall the application that has installed the driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys, maybe it's Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.

Then, uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys - see "How can I remove driver SPTD on 64-bit operating system?" in the following link:

  • HOWTO recover Toshiba Satellite 4070 CDS using TSetup...

    Hi all

I'm trying to restore the laptop to my uncle. Due to the fact that he had lost his cd player (cd player was not displayed in Explorer, more)

Instead of messing around with drivers, I suggested that it would be much easier and better (new installation) to recover the pc.

Only one problem: it seems to be a password in the bios when I restart the pc and press "Esc". This means that I can not change the boot order and currently the laptop only starts the disc and its hard drive. Note: he told me he never install a bios password and in this case, you may not know...
The thing with pressing 'C' when the bootable recovery cd is that it does not work neither.

Next thing I tried was implemented in windows 98 using a windows 98 Startup disk resulting in the same problem as above: after the installation of windows 98 has no found CD-ROM.

My latest idea was to take a look on the "TOSHIBA Toole & utilities CD" where I found a folder (G:\COMMON\MANUAL\DUTCH\DISK1) that seems to be a bootable Win98 floppy with custom code. I tried this and bingo... I start.

After starting it the "Toshiba companion disk utility" screen appeared where I had the option of setting up your computer.

    Only problem: it is said:
"TSETUP cannot be used when the level of security is USER. only a SUPERVISOR can use this utility. Press any key to continue... »

You are my last resort, and I hope you can help me out here...

    Thanks in advance,
    Ronald

    Hello

As far as I know, this utility (TSETUP) was placed on the companion disk.
This utility allows you to enter the BIOS menu.
To start the tool, you must start MS-DOS then TSETUP mode.
But if the BIOS password is enabled I don t think that it is possible to enter the BIOS.
Unfortunately, in this case, the only way is to contact the ASP to remove/change the BIOS password.

  • Toshiba Satellite M60 - problem sound configuration for the external speakers 2.1

    I just bought:
"Creative I-Trigue 3400" 2.1 channel PC speakers for my PC laptop Toshiba M60.

My problem is that there is no sound in the right speaker.

    * Headphone/onboard speakers work very well
    * I have updated its (Realtek AC97) card drivers
Creative speakers work fine with my I - Pod
Creative speakers work fine with my laptop less expensive/Sour.

I have experimented with the settings of his Panel, including settings of Toshiba virtual sound without success.

    any help would be appreciated.

Closer examination, I noticed that there is a slight (millimeters) overlooking 'lip' above the headphone jack.

The creative speaker comes with a heavy input jack which gets partially blocked by this fake - my input cable using cheaper "thinner" solved my problem.

  • Display bug with Tuner TV Toshiba, MCE and WinDVD Creator 2 for Toshiba

Hello, I discovered a bug that has been troubling for a long time.
When I watch TV in MCE, the image is a little tense and off-center to the right, which means that I do not see the right side of the screen.

When I reinstall the TV Tuner driver, version 1.2.0.6, it corrects the problem, and the image is full screen and perfectly centered in Media Center.

So I spent some time trying to find what was causing the centered and stretched image bug and it seems that it is created by 'WinDVD Creator 2 for Toshiba' which has been packaged with my Qosmio.

I tracked the problem to be a parameter in the registry to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\ttv200x\Parameters
The "VideoRes", which is set to '0' by the TV tuner driver, is set to '4' after WinDVD Creator 2 for Toshiba is used and from that moment, the bug is visible in MCE.

I've found a workaround with the parameter 'VideoRes' return '0' and restart the computer, then the screen is OK once again in MCE.

If for some reason, WinDVD Creator 2 makes this change automatically in the registry of TV tuner setting.

Can Toshiba releasing a patch for WinDVD Creator 2 fix the problem?

I think it's affecting all the owners of Qosmio with TV tuner.

    Thank you for your support.

    Alcahest

    Hello

WinDVD Creator 2 is designed by Intervideo, not Toshiba.
But like you said that the new version of driver has solved this problem.
Nevertheless thanks for your posting. It s very useful.

    4. now Locate Display Adapter and then double-click the device name.
    5. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.

I am the owner of a TOSHIBA SATELLITE A135-S4677 and I don't want to give to one of my friends, but before I do I want to DELETED EVERYTHING

How can I do this? I try to do the system restore but it dosent work I really don't know what to do, thanks for any help

This cam model with a utility on the hard drive that should be used to create a backup disk (typically takes 2 DVDs). Once created, the laptop can be started from disc 1 of the series and comes back to the configuration it had when it left the factory.

Also, usually Toshibas of that era could be restored to the state purchased as by running a recovery process. This process is started by pressing a certain combination of keys as the computer starts. We then follow the instructions on the screen.

    Now the estopples:

You must have done the backup DVD to use first available. The hard disk partition must be substantially as created to be used with success for a restoration. For example, if it is deleted in the process of masking more space on the hard disk to the user files or changing the operating system to Windows 7, use for restoration is burnt toast. My mother loved burned toast but that's another story for another place and time.

  • Toshiba Satellite: loop continuous Boot for windows 10 upgrade

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite and update of windows 10 a few weeks ago.

laptop froze power so turned off the coast and now I am in a continuous boot loop.  I made a bootable USB key.  I leave the laptop to drain and was able to do ino the "toshiba configuration utility.  Fromm here, I was able to change the boot order to USB first.

I'm Tournai on laptop and still get the message:

"Your pc came across a problem and must restart. We restart it for you.

Stop the code of NTFS file system.

even with the USB from I get up for the first menu, then this message appears.  I can't even stop.

I can't even start in safe mode.

    Help, please.

How to stop the reboot loop?

    Thank you.

Sorry, but these are the HP forums, not Toshiba forums.

Many older laptop computers HP does not fare well with the upgrade of Win10, and therefore, we advise people AGAINST doing the upgrade.

Don't know about Toshiba laptops - you should check out THEIR forums for technical advice.

  • Fedora 18 on Toshiba Satellite connected but no internet

Hello, I installed Fedora 18 on my new Toshiba Satellite and I encounter enormous problems.

More seriously, I can't use internet. Even when it connects to my wifi network, after a few seconds of normal behavior it won't see the internet more (even if the network manager has said that it is connected). I have to disconnect and reconnect manually then it works for a few seconds, and once it stops.

I don't know what - any help would be highly appreciated.

(I have too many other problems - I just found out that I am not allowed to change the time zone, although I type the correct password).

    Hello

    I read your message.
First of all I want to know - what was the situation with the WLAN under Windows?
Did you use that at all before moving to Fedora?

The reason why I ask, is that the symptoms you describe does not necessarily sound like a problem with drivers or the OS. Maybe it could be hardware related?

If the device was on my desk, I'll try an another live distro (maybe Fedora 17 or version 19 Alpha or some other public distribution where the drivers for your hardware are probably available as well).

If I got a different result that in Fedora 18 - OK, then I need to file a bug to the Fedora team report.
If I got the same result (remember to use a different kernel than your current 18 Fedora version!) Well, I would consider announcing the unit for repair.

To be 100% sure that you don't get a charge no problem found - recover your unit back to Windows and make sure you see that issues are visible here too.

On the root-access time zone setting.
What happens if you try general access root elsewhere.
E.g. open the terminal and type Su (Note lower case letters!).
You will be asked for the root password.

If the password is not accepted that there could be many reasons, ranging from memory human bad, bad keyboard or other hardware failure.

It is also possible to reset the root password.
    Please see this link:

    We hope to have helped.

    Hello

    1 reboot.

You can try the system restore before it happened.

How to make a Vista system restore
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-System-Restore-how.html
    ===========================================

If necessary you may be of the wrong driver for your Version of Windows.

Start - type in the search box-> Winver find upstairs and double click it
He will tell if you have 64-bit.

    -----------------------------------------

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Just you'd go to Toshiba Support and get the driver for your model laptop.

    Go to your model.

Good time to get some other updates here.

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
