  I scoured the Internet looking for a SIMPLE, EASY to USE, method of Word to PASS-PROTECT my flash drives TOGETHER.  I don't mean something that protects just individual files & folders (such as MS Word, Excel & can do).  Or I'm looking for a program that involves having to read page after page of instructions on how to ENCRYPT the drive.  ENCRYPTION is a topic that is really beyond my ability to understand.  I'm sorry.

  Programs like Truecrypt, Axcrypt, etc. are simply much too complicated for me to understand... a lot less!

  My question: are there flash drives available (size 8-16 GB preferably) who have a means of securing the disk with a password?

  The USB key remains in my USB port at ALL times!  I have no other computers here and live alone, so that no one else could access the flash player (or computer).  Otherwise, I would be willing to consider a VERY SIMPLE, EASY to UNDERSTAND AND USE application, either free or something that does not cost me dearly.  (I subsist on a limited monthly disability income).

  It seems that the solution for you would be to purchase a secure Flash drive.   Security is built-in and it asks for your password when you insert your disc into the computer.   Can't get much simpler than that.  They are a little more expensive, but you pay more for practical reasons.   See the following article:

  If you have a non-secure flash drive and do not want to replace, then your easiest option would be a program like Truecrypt which you already have reduced as being too complicated.  Don't let the word"encryption" you scared - it all comes down to "enter a password to access".»  Once established, however, it is almost as simple as only to enter a password so if you can find a computer or a local high school computer nerd literate member of the family who would volunteer to set up for you, then it wouldn't be that hard.

  Our House is the proud owner of several Apple devices, together, we have 2 MacBooks, 2 iPhone and an iPad. Devices are distributed over more than 2 Apple ID, we want to keep it this way.

  But, as we both take a lot of pictures it is always a hassle to keep track of the best of them so that we are looking for an easy solution. I searched a bit already online but seem to be asking the wrong question, in any case, I can't find what I'm looking for so I'll try here now.

  What we would like to have:

  -Pictures of fact on two iPhones are automatically downloaded / synchronized to one place, wherever we are.

  -This place should ideally be in our House (so preferably not cloud)

  -This place should also be easily accessible from a computer at home so that we can see both the photo when we want and send us some grandmother for example.

  Does anyone have or know a Setup program as described? We are willing to invest and have considered purchasing a Synology appliance for our backups etc already. One of the iPhone is an iPhone 4 which is still ok, so if possible, we would like to keep for a while, the other is an SE. The two MacBook are completely up to date.

• Looking for a better way to count the responses to the survey questions

  Hello all - I have created a survey for a site and now want to display the results to the admins of the site. I am trying to display the countdown - the number of times that a question has been answered in a certain way. I realize that I may need to build the investigation itself differently and how it stores data, but here is how it goes far.

  There are 10 questions, each with 4 options of radio button groups. The database table contains a column for each issue and stores the value of the selected option button. So it's pretty simple.

  Now on the results page, that it's the only way I can think to do, but there must be a better way. For each answer, I create a Recordset filtered on the issue and the value option, then display the total number of records. Which works great, but count each option, which means that 40 recordsets on the page - al simply determine "how many times was the Question 1, Option was selected and how many times has the Question 1, selected Option B and so on.»

  The only other thing I can think it maybe is a better way to count the occurrences of these values in the table is with PHP or in the SQL itself.  Or, perhaps, if the values themselves are entirely digital and follow a kind of model I can use a solution of math.

  Your problem is a bad design. You should have a separate line for each answer, not to separate the columns. It also makes the very rigid investigation. A simple design would include a few tables - a master of the investigation that stores the questions and response table that contains a foreign key to the question number in the master, the answer, as well as any other details you need to capture. You might get more elaborate, but it's essential. Your result page and then just be a single recordset with a simple query with a group by clause.

  Boy, the Adobe web site is incredibly frustrating. It is very difficult to accomplish some very simple tasks. First of all, there should be an email address for contact. I shouldn't be forced to submit my question on a forum. It's cheap and lazy on the part of Adobe, especially when they charge a lot for their subscription applications.

  My biggest complaint is that I can't find a simple list of the applications available with the cloud creative in different subscription levels. When I search, it sends me to a video of slick 'overview' of the creative cloud which tells me zero in on specific applications available. It should be a simple list of available with creative cloud applications and a side-by-side comparison of the applications available with the different levels of subscription creative cloud. Why can't I find something like this on the web site of Adobe? I found a page that lists 15 adobe applications, but not a page that describes to me what apps come with what levels of creative cloud subscriptions.

  You cannot change to 64-bit, unless you do a clean install using a 64-bit disc. Your processor should be capable of running the 64-bit.

  Advice here - not worth the expense of $100 to buy 64-bit win 7 for a model that is a few years old. Instead, wait until the summer or the early fall when 10 windows will be a free update for users of windows 7. You must run windows 7 with the latest update to take advantage of the free upgrade.

  Sells Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pro, that's all. Editing text in a PDF document is not a trivial task, they are not designed to be editable documents.

• Broad question who are looking for a simple answer.

  I am a designer for a wholesaler and I need to track costs of all our prints by provider. I am wanting to create a Web site with interactive forms able to export data to an excel form. Basically, the process works like this:

  1. the seller receives the request from a client.

  2. the seller fills out the design request form and submits to the designer.

  3 designer full order.

  4 the design cost is entered in excel form with five fields sortable (Date, vendor, customer, supplier, brand)

  5 accounting invoice for the cost of production design.

  We use a subscription service primitive right now on the web but is very clumsy and uses old technology and I'm basically at the mercy of their technical support if I have problems.

  We do more than 1,000 drawings per month, is why this system is necessary in tracking our costs as opposed to this follow-up on a basis of by design.

  I know that this question seems misplaced, but bare with me...

  Is it possible to design a website in Flash that has interactive forms with the ability to shoot the data forms excel for menus (customer, supplier of lists), rudimentary costs drop-down and eventually to export this info into an excel workbook? Is it possible to do it with a module offline that can sync when an internet connection is available?

  I don't have instructions on how to do it, only if it is the correct path to spread downwards.

  Flash cannot read xls files.  but excel can export comma-delimited files and flash can read and analyze those.

  Flash cannot save data in any format on its own, but with the script server side (like php), you can save data to the server.

  I've just set up a custom form with a java class that allows me to create some additional custom xml´s custom. This XML Form has 2 simple input fields to test.
  
  But my problem is, how to treat the workflow for updating the user. Is this possible to the XML. Or is it possible in java or jsp. I can tolerate in my java class for the form, what is the way to do this in the best way? Any tips?
