    Hello!
I met a problem nasty whil trying to create a PDF from a wikipedia page:

I click on file-> create a PDF file-> web page, then I chose an Arab page (example wiki adobe http://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%A9_%D8%A3%D8%AF%D9%88%D8%A8%D9%8A ( )

the result is a rate upward, no text Arabic ther, Latin text only appears!

I installed the language support of Arabic/Hebrew in windows regional settings.
Good poster but Hebrew is not Arabic.

I use Acrobat 9 Pro version 9.1.0 on an English Windows XP SP3.

some research on the net, I found that I have to buy the software adobe CS4 Middel east version and that will be bad to buy two versions of the same product just for a little thing like Arabic/Hebrew.

is there one solution other than this difficult choice?

    Thank you.

Bottom line, is that if you want full Arabic support, you can buy versions of Winsoft of Adobe products. You should check this before buying the non - ME version.

  • I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the doc

I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the document (replacing the existing document) and close. Then another person can open the same document digitally sign another area of the form, save it, and close it. So on, and so on. Is there a way to do this? At the end of the day, I would end up with a PDF file with literally hundreds of signatures to enable different ACC everywhere...

I don't understand what the problem is. In the post of the davidr96549424 on May 8, 2015 07:58 you presented a structure of a correct document. Is the issue of the creation of this structure in a PDF file? For this, you will need an Acrobat, not reader.

XI in Acrobat, select Tools-> forms-Edit. Click 'No' on the form fields 'detect '. In the tasks Panel that opens, click on "add new field". Select "Digital Signature" and move it to the location in the document where you want to than the appearance of the signature to be. Repeat that for signature fields as you want. Users will sign by clicking on the prepared unsigned signature field which shows the dialog box "sign. Do not forget that as TSN has noted that a digital signature applies to the entire document. The entry in the document where it is is irrelevant. Each next signature covers all previous signatures.

Your users can also sign a document from anywhere that they want without signature fields already prepared. For this select fill & sign-> work with certificates and the type of signing you want to sign up with. A dialog box that will tell you a rectangle for the appearance of signature rises and after you draw the rectangle of the dialog 'Sign' rises.

PDF/Acrobat doesn't have a limit on a number of signatures in a PDF document. But! Don't forget that when you open a PDF file with Acrobat/Reader signatures valid all of them and takes time (several seconds - until 10 - for every signature), so if you have several signatures of dozens of their validation open can take a long time.

I don't know how build you your workflow so that each person signs the same PDF and saves it. Economy runs on the same computer where the PDF is stored. You'll have to decide how to allow different people to have access to the same PDF. They, of course, you may sign this only one-at-a-time PDF.

  • * do not answer * 'Create a PDF from a scanner' below...

How the hell stand out you a 'response' message when you find out you were wrong?

In any case, the problem remains... the scanner software because the printer is a - OK - I scanned just fine to a file outside of Acrobat.  But trying to create a PDF file from a plant even Acrobat.  And the situation is now worse... I can not uninstall Acrobat because I now have the error in Add/Remove Programs, "this is action is valid only for currently installed programs."  Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool seems to have been a very bad idea.  (I only ran it on the Acrobat software.)

You try to run the repair now is absolutely no response from the software.

How can I fix it now...?  Crikey!

Scanning only I do (cannon) is a project to convert the boxes' no boxes of old family digital photos

As far as I know, the scanning is all via the TWAIN driver is installed (usually/always?) by the provider of scanner software

When you use Acrobat, you're at the mercy of how good or bad, the twain driver is written... Since twain driver is the 'bridge' between your computer and the material inside of the scanner

You may have a problem of a twain driver that plays well with Acrobat

What happens if you use the scanner software to scan... and then use Acrobat to convert the file saved in the PDF format?

  • create a pdf from a scanner does not black and white?

create a pdf from a scanner does not black and white? Acrobat 9 pro only allows a customized analysis?

    Hi mikes84641121935 ,

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 10. It may or may not work.

Please refer to this article: Adobe Acrobat required configuration

You can launch the scanner interface by going to the start menu or the control panel.  When you first connect your printer/scanner to your computer via USB or wireless, the scanner driver to install and can scan from its native interface. You can find it in all programs in the Windows Start menu.

By ex. If you have HP Scanner, click Start and type hp scan. Also, you can go to control panel and can run the scan from there function. Hold down the Windows key and then press R on your keyboard, type of control in the run, find dialog box, and click on devices and printers > select your scanner and right-click on it. Try scanning from there and let us know if you are able to do.

In addition, you can try to repair Acrobat installation, launch Acrobat and go to the Help menu > and click on repair Installation, after repair, restart Acrobat and check if you are able to scan.

  • Acrobat Pro DC freezes when creating a PDF from the Clipboard and gives an error message when you create a pdf from Microsoft Word 2016.

Two weeks ago I have upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro since Acrobat Pro XI DC. Create a PDF from Clipboard in appearance from a status bar results, lessons for 25%, at which point Acrobat "freezes" "." " Similarly, when using the feature to create a file PDF in Microsoft Word 2016, a progress bar appears, gets to 25%, then the error message "Microsoft Word has stopped working", restart Word, and a message recommending that the Acrobat Add-in is disabled. I'm on Windows x 64 on a Lenovo X 1 carbon 10. Is there a "fix" to these questions?

The word problem seems more likely to have a bug introduced by Microsoft in their last update for Word 2016, a couple of weeks. Someone posted a way to get Word to revert to a version:

To revert to a version earlier office 2013 or 2016 Office in the form of installation of Office 365, you must use a command line and specify the build number, that you want to return.

    1. As Office 365 facilities are automatically updated in the background, you must disable the automatic updates first. This can be done in any application Office 365 via:
      File-> Office account-> Update Options-> disable updates
    2. Open a command prompt:
      1. Start-> type:cmd
      2. Click on: command prompt
      3. Choose: Run as administrator
      4. Provide your credentials to the administrator or to confirm the user account control dialog box when you are prompted.
    3. Type the command below that applies to your version of Office or Windows
      • Office 2016
        cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\
      • 2013 office under Windows 32-bit
        cd %programfiles%\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX86\
      • 2013 desktop on 64-bit Windows
        cd %programfiles%\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX64\
    4. You can specify the number of bed to regain in the following way:
      officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=

      • Replace with the build number that you want to return. There is a preview of version numbers, you can return to the Office 2013 and 2016 Office.
      • Example to return to the release of January 2016 office:
        OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.6366.2062
      • Example to return to the release of January 2013 office:
        OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=15.0.4787.1002

    Hi kevin7frg,

You can go to "file > create > scanner > configure presets PDF»

The dialog box that appears, you can choose 8.5 X 11 as the default width and height of PDF pages to scan.

    Hope that helps.

  • Acrobat Adobe standard DC will not create a PDF from pagemaker 7

    WHY

To create a PDF from PageMaker file (if ever, it was meant to, which I doubt) it would need a working copy of PageMaker on a supported Windows version. PageMaker support ended with Windows XP.

  • Cannot create a PDF from Framemaker 11 using Adobe DC. Does not pass compliance audits

Given that we have upgraded to Adobe Acrobat DC, I'm not able to create a PDF from Framemaker 11. Message says that the document is not PDF / x-3: 2002 compliance checks. Notepad displays a list showing annotations were found inside bleedbox, cropping area or artbox and lists on the pages. Don't know what are these annotations.

I just paid almost $10 to create a PDF from a jpg file, but I did it so that I can change it. Now I find that I needed another Adobe package that would create the pdf AND I would change it. What should I do now?

If you create a PDF file from an image, it is always a picture, and you cannot change it.

If the image contains text, then you need to perform the text recognition (OCR) before you can actually change the text.  Acrobat can do that.

I need to create a PDF from InDesign file that people can change (for example, change a name of 'John' to 'Johnny') of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. Can anyone here help me?

    Vincent,

If you use Acrobat pro, build your .pdf file, and then save it as (french version):

... so that everyone using Acrobat Reader (or Pro, of course) can change the file .pdf (with restrictions), add comments...

If you want to try to 'protect' your .pdf file, you can try with this (in the menu 'Preferences' (french version)):

  • Create a Pdf from Office 2011

    Hello

I am able to create a PDF from Microsoft Word 2011. I go in the menu printing, select the PDF and make a pdf. When I quit Word and then double click on this pdf file, Acrobat launches, then opens a blank page and the spinning beachball appears. Acrobat, then hangs until I force quit.

I can see the icon for the file, and it looks right on the desktop.

    Any ideas?
