  It is not possible to convert a PDF to word format using the player.

  You would either need to use Adobe Acrobat or go to export to PDF online service for the same thing.

  If you bought subscription export as PDF, so please connect to 'https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf' using your Adobe ID credentials and try again.

  There are some PDF types (such as those that are protected by password) that cannot be converted. But when this is the case, you will get a message during conversion and the conversion stops. It looks like not this is the case for you.

  What happens when you open the Word document converted to Word? You see an enable editing button in the upper part of the document? If so, please click on that. If you are still unable to select text in the Word document, try triple click to select.

  For reference, I will say that the quality of the conversion depends on the quality of the PDF file (see Will Adobe ExportPDF convert text and shape... |) Adobe Community). Thus, there may be cases where a PDF prepared by a third party application (a non Adobe application), may not be written to spec, and that can affect the accuracy of the conversion.

  Adobe Reader XI uses Adobe export in PDF format online to convert the file in Word.

  You can go to file > save as > Word or Excel online

  You can even use Acrobat XI to convert a pdf to word document.

  Go to file > save as other... > Microsoft Word > Word document / Word 97-2003 document

  You can even make a selection in the table in the pdf document and right click and select "export as" > Word document.

  Or,

  Open a file in Acrobat XI.

  Choose Tools > content edition > export a file from the Word document.

  Name the Word file and save it to a desired location.

  Have you checked to see if your PDF is updated? I would take a glance files PDF view in Firefox. There is a lot of information in there, and it lists some different add-ons PDF. I would like to try both to see if it is localized to a single.

  Make sure that you have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions) installed on your computer to use the services to create a PDF file as the old version of Reader support any more.
