I was recently on my computer and running windows 7 with happiness and problem free, until I downloaded a file from the internet. When I opened it, windows asked me if I want to allow this program allow changes. However, there is the rub. When I click on 'Yes', the message will disappear, but the computer hangs at the screen has gone even a light, tinted gray, with all of the programs that are still running in the background. It freezes for about 2 minutes and then decides to return to normal, free for me to return to work and navigation. However, the program that I have originally intended to be performed by him to make changes didn't work at all. Confused, I ran over and over again, but with very little success, and the problem continued to appear. I tried to launch a clean boot, but that doesn't help more. Can someone help me please? Thanks :)
Thank you for the support, but I solved the problem.
I did a system restore, and it seems that a microsoft critical update was the culprit of all this? In any case, everything seems to work now and thanks again for all the support and help, I appreciate it a lot :)

Each time you start firefox asked me if want to allow the program to make changes to the computer
Whenever I start firefox, I wonder if I want to allow the program to make changes to my computer. Do not have this problem until I updated to the new version.
This has happened
Each time Firefox opened
== I've updated to the new version
Check that you are not Firefox running as administrator.
Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that this level of privilege: "Run this program as an administrator" is not selected.
You should also check the firefox.exe program properties in the Firefox program directory.

I am trying to install a Flight Simulator, (RealFlight G5) manufactured by large aircraft.
Great plans is an honest company and I have read nothing but
good things about this product. "In any case when I'm trying to istall it after the message.
you want to this editor, or what ever it is said, to make changes to your computer"
nothing happens after you click Yes. A few seconds of the round circle
When the memo pointer is then nothing. This has happened with other programs?
Thank you.

Hello
I would be so grateful to know how to fix t his, because it's really getting on my nerves.
I have windows 7 pro 64 bit. I mostly always use firefox. Whenever i opened a new browser, I never got hit with the windows badge and "Do you want this program to make changes to your computer...." or something to that effect. YOu who have windows 7 know what I mean. Of course I click yes, but I NEVER had to do this before. I don't know what changed, what might have happened. I had to have help with some software unrelated to firefox and someone had remote work on my notebook, but he should not have changed browser settings. It is really irritating me to now end to always open the browser now and have to hear that annoying thing and the badge.
My other browsers IE and chrome do not do this.
How can I fix this? It was never the case before for years.
Thank you thank you very much in advance. I can't use this browser if that's going to happen, he finds himself on my nerves.
A possible cause of this message, it is that Firefox is configured to run as administrator.
Make sure that Firefox is not set to run as administrator.
Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.- Privilege level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" must not be selected
Also check the firefox.exe program properties in the program Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) folder.
If you cannot make changes, and then start Windows Explorer as an administrator. -

It seems to me that this could be a virus. I always click No. and the process continues. Notice that whenever I click on the Firefox icon, the screen turns black momentarily before the Yes / No Panel appears.
This message came from the UAC (User Account Control) in windows 7, click Yes, it is 100% safe.

Hi Jniles,
Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.
Do you have connected to your computer as an administrator?
User Account Control (UAC) notifies you before changes are made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions. The default UAC notifies you when programs try to make changes to your computer, but you can change how often UAC notifies you.
Open user account control settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click change user account control settings.
