• Print size.

  I have a deskjet D4260 installed on Windows XP Home Edition.  When I print from some Web sites, the print comes out very small and almost unreadable.  Other sites, it comes out normal. I can't tell in advance which sites will print normal and will not lower case. I tried various "adjustments" but nothing changes.  My previous normal HP printed size all the time.  Is this a site problem or I do something wrong?  I'd appreciate some insight on this question.  PS - I'm pretty new to computers, then you will appreciate help that is not too technical.  Thank you.

  It is a problem of Web site. When designers Web page design web sites, they defined the size of the police, and when you print, it will be printed in the same size. What you could do is to copy the text and paste it into a text editor such as Wordpad or Microsoft Word. Then increase the size here and then print it.

  Since I installed this HP Envy 4500 e-all-in-one printer, it prints in small text. I went to tools, options and preferences and can't seem to find a way to change the print size. Any suggestions? Thanx

  You try to print a document or an element of a web page? What program or browser you use?

  If you are using a Windows operating system, please try the following:

  1. open an Internet Explorer browser, go to the far right click on the gear icon

  2. Select Print Preview

  3. now along the top, you will see an option to change the size of the page, please make sure that it is set to adjust or 100%.

  4. now, try a test page, the text is expanded?

  I am a user experienced with strange print sizes. However, I just got this new printer (8610 HPpro) and it will not print any "custom": sizes. I get an error message that says that the paper in the printer does not match what is set up in the program or vice versa. I tried all combinations of tests without any positive result.

  Hi bessie carroll.

  You can try the following steps and check if you can change the size back to normal:

  1. Select the properties of the printer and go to printing preferences, do the scaling to 100%.

  2. If in another application printing is in large fonts, then go on layout of this application and lay out the scale of 100%.

  You can also try to hold down the CTRL key and then use the mouse scroll to increase or decrease the font size.

• After the transition from XP to Windows 7, the custom-printing size selection box has failed.

  I always was able to use my C5180 Photosmart to print pictures of custom size on my old computer with XP.  After getting a new computer with Windows 7, the custom size box says "the custom paper that you have just set will become unavailable for selection until you have left and returned in the preferences to print/properties." (I did too many times to count!) All except 'Cancel' choices are grayed out.  This feature still works on my old computer, even if the box selection and formulation are different.  I have checked and checked the drivers and we have tried many other solutions.  I have worked in this market for a week or two and see that many other people have similar problems.  I would like to buy a new hp printer, but see that even with the new hp printers people have problems with paper sizes custom, which is very important to me - I print a lot of cards of various sizes, mainly of 6.5 X 10 inches.  Of course, no support is available for this printer "obsolete". (It may be "obsolete", but it works fine with XP). I also can't get any definitive information on this feature in the new hp printers and have noted that some people have problems with this feature on the new printers also.

  Can I try your solution in the future, but right now I'm satisfied by another solution, I realized with the help of a thematically response on a Windows 7 forum.

  First of all, I'm pretty positive, I used the correct driver because I downloaded the most recent, verified and recontroler, etc.  And, fortunately, most of the features all-in-one is working well.  Because of this, I hate to try drivers for another model - as I have solve my problem. I could end up with another problem - as no function of scan or something.

  Here is how I was able to get custom formats:

  'Start' to 'control panel' for 'Hardware and Sound' ('View drivers and printers')

  Click on the printer

  Choose "Print server properties" at the top of the screen

  Click 'create a new form.

  Give form a new name, for example 7-10 card and put the name into the box just above

  Complete custom down, for example, print size 7 x 10

  Click 'save form '.

  Click "close".

  The custom name and size is then appeared in the photo program I feel for and I was able to use it.

• Preparation of a document for American print sizes

  I'm a designer based in the United Kingdom and I have to prepare a book for printing by an American company.

  This is the specification that was given to me by the American company:

  8.5 x 11 blue

  COVERAGE: 12.5 "18.75" height

  Internal file must be

  11.25 "height of 8.75"

  I don't understand. The final size is 8.5 x 11 width height. The print size is 12.5 by 18.75 height height.

  This means that the lid has 4 x 7.75 purge, which seems exesive.

  Internal print size seems to be smaller than the final size (of the width at least).

  Can someone explain this? I would like to ask the printing company, but they are a way, and I thought I would ask here first of all to avoid embarrsssing myself in case I'm missing something obvious.

  In the United Kingdom, serving sizes are usually larger than the final size of 6mm only (give 3 mm bleed all around the document).

• Photoshop CS can not show the actual print size & other bugs...

I also put the printer (a printer virtual pdf) in A1 to avoid a possible scale of the print size. If the software has all the necessary information, but still it can't find the actual print size!  You guys think that? Personally, I think that the developers could not understand how to do a simple task either!  Even if I work on photoshop CS occasionally, I found too many bugs to mention.  The most frustrating, is that it suddenly stops responding to the shortcuts! So I have to select all the items in the menus or save, exit, restart and re - open records - now imagine being in the middle of a complicated task...  Another big annoying bug: when I "Select all" to copy a layer, if this layer can have a few pieces surrounded by transparency, Photoshop destroyed their position and the overall picture, in centering arbitrarily these pieces in the glued frame!  In addition, too often all temporarily disappears if I stop for a moment while I drag a marquee selection etc. They did not yet able to move in a gray background without being invisible cursor!  So much for a "professional" expensive application  Note that I installed the patches for this version. I know it is a little dated but as I said, I work occasionally and I don't want to pay hundreds of euros almost every year for a new version upgrade while I'm not yet happy with the previous!   BTW, on this thread editor when I hit 'enter' to start a new line, the cursor goes at the beginning of the document.  Now, are drunk with Adobe web developers, or what?  Sorry, I can't stand too much stupidity right now...

  Follow the steps below and let me know what happens?

  First step: clear temp directory

  1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
  2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
  3. Proceed to step 2 below

  Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1 download the drivers and full software features

  2. once the download is complete, double-click the file to extract the software.

  3. when the installation window opens, press the Cancel button to stop the installation

  4. tap folder in the race or search programs and files of field

  5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

  6. right click on the folder and select copy

  7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

  8 open the 7z, that you just copied on your desktop

  9 open the Util folder

  10 open the CCC folder

  11 start the uninstall_L4

  12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

  14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  15 open the 7z folder and then double-click the Setup.exe file that will be towards the bottom of the open window. Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.
