I bought Windows Vista quite a few years. I put a password on it to start and I don't remember the password.
I bought Vista quite a while. I installed it long ago and I've been locked out of it for years. I tried to search through all my email accounts to see if I could find a product key for it but there is nothing in any of them. I remember I had the ultimate version because it wouldn't let me not upgrading to Windows 7 for free as the other versions of vista. Is there anything I can do to access my vista again or check my product key without being able to connect?
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

No, unfortunately not, when you upgraded to Windows 7 indeed renounce you your right to use Vista. But keep the product key and Vista media where you need to perform a clean installation of Windows 7 again.

Just download, install and activate using your serial number. You are allowed to have the software installed and enabled on both machines. If you do want to keep the original installation of backup you can turn it off by opening one of the programs and by selecting help-> Deactivate.

Remember passwords are case sensitive so maybe that you type a password in the case of bad? Did you create a password recovery disk when you created your password first? If Yes, then you must insert the password recovery disk to allow you to change the current password. If Vista is preinstalled on your laptop, this product key is NOT for Windows 7.
