I can install Windows 7 without initially providing the product key?
Hello
Yes, you can try a free key of Windows 7 Installation. But be sure that you enter the product key to activate Windows wihtin 30 days grace period. Once the 30 days grace period end your system will go in any safe and you may need to reinstall the copy again.
Unlike Windows Vista, if you si vous achetez buy Windows 7 DVD you get specified edition disk and installation you will not get an option to select the edition. Almost to the last step of the Installation, you will get the opportunity to enter the product key that you can jump and try to enter the product at the time of the Activation key.
Thank you

install windows with the product key
someone I gifted an old laptop with a lot of things about what I don't want and stuff I want is missing. I would like to know how to re - install windows on the laptop with the product key on the back of my laptop.
or, even better, if someone could find me a way to get a disk to restore to factory without purchasing information, which would be awsome.
I thank you for your time and have a good day.
If the laptop is one of the well known brands, he may well have a restore partition. If you do not have a manual to the user of this computer, then go to the manufacturers website and look for the documentation. At the very least, you should be able to find information about how to restore the laptop from the recovery partition.
If the restore partition has been decimated, the manufacturer may still have available for a nominal cost of installation diskettes.

Hello Tony
It depends on the type of license that is on the PC. to determine this, the simplest method is to run the MGADiag tool:
Download MGADiag (by Microsoft) from the link below:
http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012
Run the tool by double-clicking the file. Press to continue when prompted
When it is finished, press on copy and then paste (Ctrl + V) in your next post please
Please also indicate which version of windows is mentioned on your COA sticker (if you have one) but do not publish the key.

Re-install Windows 8, it will choose the product key?
OT: Re-install Windows 8.
My computer broke down and all restore points do not work.
I have a Windows 8 OS install disc, but I don't know my registration key activation/for Windows 8 OS came with the computer.
If I start a new installation on the laptop, he automatically picks up the key from the bios, or what I have to enter manually in?
If I don't have to enter, someone know how I can find it using the command line or in the registry?
Thank you!
If you use your drive and it came with the computer, it is automatically activated when you reinstall. If the disc is not a detail, it will not activate and in this case, you will need to use either the recovery Partition - if your computer comes with one - or contact your computer manufacturer's technical support and ask them to send you a full set of Recovery DVD. They usually charge a small fee for these for help to cover their costs (under US $20.00 for my HP). Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

Why microsoft does not provide the product key for windows 8.1
I have genuine windows 8 so if Microsoft gives the free update to windows 8.1 store so why he does not provide the product key for windows 8.1 so that we can update to it through disk offline
If you want to install Windows 8.1 clean, but have only a product key Windows 8, you must install Windows 8.1 with a placeholder key - keys of the placeholder will be not - activate and change your product key for Windows 8 key.
The placeholder keys are:
8.1 Windows placeholder - core 334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT
8.1 Windows placeholder - pro XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB -

Create a custom DVD of Windows 7 with pre installed office 2010, applications, drivers, updates and custom in GPEdit settings.
Used Windows 7 DVD, downloaded from the Internet and installed all the software and then sysprep for oobe.
Captured by using ImageX, install.wim custom size is almost 6.7 GB.Replaced the custom with the original install.wim file and the error message:
"The product key entered don't match any available to install Windows images. Enter a different product key.
This error message appears after pressing the button "install now".On that note, I removed file ei.cfg of Windows 7 ISO, now I get that says - could not locate the image
Any suggestions would be acceptable.

It is an equivalent using a product key from a version (say OEM) on a different version (e.g. retail). If you can get a download from the MSDN site, then you can also get a matching key for her.

Bypass UEFI provided the product key to install Windows 8?
Just bought an HP computer brand new.
Unlike my old systems, it is running a UEFI (BIOS) firmware and HP integrated the product keys for Windows 8 BASIC in the firmware somehow. The problem installing my authentic copy retail of Windows 8 Professional. I want to talk about a new installation DVD, after formatting and partitioning the drive (can't stand all this HP bloatware/test stuff).
The DVD mode of UEFI boot work, but when it gets to the part of the facility where he asks my product key - windows install grab the keys off the coast of the motherboard and told me that they do not match. I'm never gave the possibility to use the key that came with my copy of windows 8 pro.
How to install Windows 8 Pro, so the installer will allow me to enter my product key?
In the bios, there are options to disable secure boot, enable and disable the keys. None of them running. There is even an option in the bios by default to 'keys provided by the user. but who doesn't either.
Help!
Found a working solution... just in case someone else runs into an OEM computer that has built-in product keys it UEFI firmware.
The solution was very simple and easy to perform. First you'll need an original copy of your Professional 8 Windows DVD or an ISO of it. You will also need an empty key USB 4 GB or more.
By following the steps on this site - perform the format of the USB key:
http://www.Blogsolute.com/create-Windows-8-USB-bootable-pendrive-UEFI-boot/25988/
Then create a file named PID.txt (as described below).
http://www.Blogsolute.com/Windows-8-clean-installation-product-key-do-not-match/25990/
After many hours of banging my head against the UEFI firmware, PID.txt solution works very well. When windows setup find PID.txt, she uses this product code and ignores the one integrated in the firmware of computers.
Don't forget to complete the formatting of the USB for UEFI, its necessary for the needs of secure boot of many new computers. You can try booting in legacy mode, but it wouldn't work on my computer.
See you soon.

original title: VISTA recovery problem.
I'm in a situation where I could make only a single recovery of 3 DVDs and now, by mistake, I formatted my PC using this disc. After that when I start my PC with recovery disc, it is not able to detect any operating system (VISTA). Help, please...
Hello
We never did all of the computer manufacturers of recovery disks
You must all reinstall them vista
If you have problems with the use or to contact the manufacturer recovery process manufacturers
It's their recovery process not microsofts
________________________________________________________________
Read this on how to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
You should always have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Don't install windows vista no disk but have product key sticker
Interesting problem? I have a laptop Acer Aspire 7720 G, which had Vista Home basic installed on the purchase, without discs provided but sticker windows product code based on the laptop. I just bought and installed windows 7 Home premium which seem to instal fine, but now my graphics card is not recognized (nvidia geforce). all I get is poor graphic vga? I tried to update the drivers from windows update and nvidia, no sucsess. 'Systems' I can't even see my graphics card, it seems I just graphics vga integrated, not good on a computer with blu-ray/dvd player and power dvd installed, nothing will work out of a bad quality dvd movie.
someone said that acer do not support windows 7 for this laptop and recommended re-setup of trash vista, but since I have no disk how can I do this. I don't have the product key code?
do I really have to install windows vista again and have I wasted my money on windows 7 that I can't use because my graphics card is not recognized? really frustrating, ilike, windows 7, want to use it, but how can I if it does not recognize my nvidai card, any help would be appreciated

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
