I can not run a program

So I recently downloaded a program and I don't know whetehr it runs or x 64 or x 32, so whenever I click on it I get the message "this version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. "Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x 86 (32 bit) or an x 64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher" so please help me. I have tried everything I tried the properties and tried changing the compatibility I also tried the program of solving problems, but nothing has worked. I searched on google for any upward, but still I can't ind anything. The program is basically a subscription code generator that uses an algorithm to generate random numbers for a code. So please help I use a toshiba laptop which runs on windows 7 ultimate and it is x 64 I thank you. NOTE: How will I know if it runs on the cus x 64 or x 32 that I have no idea.

Thank you.

The best way is to contact the author (the company) of the software you want to install.

Glassfish entire works well outside it.

    keytool could be found in/usr/java/latest/bin/keytool.

We need to have that in the path? There is no requirement in the
Installation Guide for this, nor did the RPM installation adjust the system
    path accordingly.

I hope someone can tell my how things should be in regards to keytool?

    Thank you, Tom

    Hi Tom,

the procedure to change the password for the listener of glassfish server hosting APEX

... more like a topic related to GlassFish for me. I guess you will get the best answers to these questions in a GlassFish related forum...

For what it's worth, I'll try my best even when:

Can not run the program "keytool": java.io.IOException: error = 2, no such file or directory

This seems to be a pretty clear error message: keytool , which probably is used to manage keys for users of GlassFish, was not found. This means, you are either running on an operating system that is not officially certified for GlassFish, or you GlassFish has not been configured correctly.
    You have run

    GlassFish@ahost:/opt/glassfish3/GlassFish/Domains/mydom01/config > which java
    / usr/bin/Java

... which means that you assume your GlassFish runs without being set JAVA_HOME. If that's true, I'm install you GlassFish correctly from this setting.
Anyway, you have also discovered that

    keytool could be found in/usr/java/latest/bin/keytool.

... that is not + / usr / bin + and probably not in the way of global search of the user on whose behalf your GlassFish is running. Then, you can either create a link [*] for c++ / usr/bin/keytool + do (finally) to + / usr/java/more late/bin/keytool +, or you setup JAVA_HOME to be + / usr/java/last +.
[*] Note that depending on your operating system, there may be more than one stage of indirection, for example my Ubuntu a + / usr/bin/java + pointing on + / etc/alternatives/java + which points on + / usr/lib/jvm/java-6-Sun/jre/bin/java + where + / usr/lib/jvm/java-6-Sun / + points to the directory containing the real JDK to use. You will probably find something like this on your system. My Ubuntu box has a link for + / usr/bin/keytool +, so I get when running "what keytool.

We need to have that in the path? There is no requirement in the installation guide for that, nor the RPM installation has adjusted the path system accordingly.

Again, this is not a forum of GlassFish.

I hope my advice helps you solve your problem. If they are not, please choose the appropriate forum for your next post on this topic. And I guess, giving additional information about your OS and how you manage your JDK (and which version you use) help people here to help you.

    Thank you

I have a problem running a program that runs perfectly OK under Vista 32 bit and XP with sp3, however do not work in virtual XP mode or on a WIN7 64 bit system.

    Hi mgm842,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    3. you receive messages or error codes?

You can try to run a scan online and check.

    Step 1:

You can check out the following link and try to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer and check.

Note: When you perform the analysis, there are risks of data loss you can take a backup of important data before performing analysis.

    Check out the link:

    Step 2:

If you are still facing problems then try creating a new user account and check if the problem occurs:

    Create a user account

    Hi, amel.

Let's first try the easy solution.  ClickStart, type compatibility in the research field, and click the enter key. This will bring up the resolution of the problems of compatibility of programs.  Click Next and it make a quick check on your machine.  It will ask you to Select the program that you are having problems with, and then click Next.  Clicktroubleshoot program, then check the box forthe program worked in earlier versions of Windows...  Windows XP (Service Pack 2)-click, then click on Next. Click on the box forstart the program. He will try to open the program as if you were using XP. Once the program is trying to open, click onNext. Now it will ask if it worked for you.  If so, click onYes, save these settings for this program. If you clicked Yes, every time that you open the program now he opens as if it was running under XP.  That if it worked!

Sometimes this method does not work.  For these cases, there is a new feature called XP Mode, which will install a virtual machine before you run your program in.  This feature is available in the professional versions, full and Enterprise edition. It is not too hard to get set up. It actually installs a copy of Windows XP before you run your program in.   Here's a Microsoft article on how to get it set up: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/.  XP mode now works even if you do not have the chip installed for hardware-assisted virtualization technology.

    Hope this helps,

    Barbara

  • The desktop icon can not find the program

I'm having a problem where when I click on my desktop icons they can not find the program that is associated with run.

Most of them is related to sites Web that I often use, so I select Internet Explorer as the associated program then remember this radio button, but when I connect and get back in that I get the same error.

I am running windows XP, I say this because I've posted this before, and I referred to a difficulty which will not work with this operating system.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • I had a fast PC program that keeps coming up as an error and I can not find the program on my PC?

There is a Speedy PC Pro porgram on my computer keeps coming back as an error and I can not find the program or software

any where on my computer to uninstall or remove. I don't know where it comes from. Please notify.

If the "program not found" error message is associated with the Windows startup, another solution is to use the System Configuration tool and remove applications from the startup list.

Here are the steps on how to do this:

    1. Move the cursor to the Start menu and then click on "Run".
    2. In the Open box, type msconfig
    3. Heat the Enter key
    4. Click the Startup tab
    5. Remove/disable all uninstalled applications in the startup list
    6. Move the cursor to the Start menu and then click on 'stop'. After that click on 'restart'.
  • Why you can not run portable applications on RT?

Why you can not run portable applications on RT?

Nothing is installed on the system. That's all, flash USB, a folder or drive.
You don't have to install anything. So why can not run portable applications on RT?

I know exactly what is a portable application. It requires no additional drivers installed or libraries to run on a system, if one is required that they are either built into the executable and extracted the runtime or are included in the same location as the executable and are referenced from this location.

No portable application is not somehow the operating system to display the current status, error messages or generate logs for its operation. If it cannot accept input during its operation or generate a form of output it has no function. This is the basic description of a program to have one or the other or both.

When you double-click an executable file is Windows (if it's the operating system) giving you the ability to open its location, see the executable file in order to select and issue the command to run. It's Windows that then loads this program in memory to run. If necessary, Windows that displays the dialog box to provide any input and display results or error messages generated by the program. If the result is a log file that it is Windows that allows access to the drive to create the file and the result is an error state in Windows that stores the status of the error, then it can be interpreted by another program. If the output is to change the status of the computer in a way, it's Windows that gives access to this device or component. The Hardware Abstraction Layer allows access to the hardware itself if necessary by a program and even that is a part of Windows.

So I know what a laptop program is, more important still, I also know what is Windows.

  • I need to know how stop the automatic updates, secondly how do I substitute him "you can't run this program on this pc?

First of all, I need to know how to stop the automatic updates, second how to replace him "you can't run this program on this pc?  I SWEAR THAT IF HE SAID THAT HE AGAIN THAT I WILL BREAK IT INTO PIECES. Then I'll go buy an android tablet.  Surface, hate hate 8

Yes running of programs that are not on the store is not possible. It is not a parameter or artificial, it's just that the RT line uses what is called an ARM chipset, also known as RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Chip).  Literally, he cannot read the compiled code of complete programs.  Same reason you can't run Adobe Photoshop on an iPhone, just CPU cannot decode the program.  But on the good side of things, it cannot launch virus either, so he made the first version of Windows that cannot get 'gunked up' over time. It works like an iPad and have a continuous and consistent performance for a lifetime. I'm sad that they abandoned it so fast, I know a lot of people who could use this service.

Anyway, you can skip the connection at startup.  There is in fact in two ways.  Unless you do a lot of "full stops", I recommend enter Power Options and setting by turning off the "password required when you wake up sleep."  Which will remove the requirement for password of sleep/wake, but if the device never complete a boot will always be a password.  This is a good compromise for safety and security, so if the device is lost or stolen, it eventually crashes when the battery is dead.

But if you want to delete this, you should be able to do it by running the command NETPLWIZ, as described here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOYmY-6Wd3Y
